I bought this watch recently on the jubilee bracelet. It is an amazing watch, as you said! I think the quality is just as good as any Rolex or Omega out there and this costs way less than most of those watches. The jubilee bracelet to me is the way to go and the T-fit clasp is super comfortable. Tudor is really upping their game recently, and this is one of their best watches and an example of where they are headed as a brand.
Same here, have mine since one month and it's really nice. I find it significantly more wearable than the previous version despite the small difference in thickness.
@@eurly93it’s really subjective. I was shopping for the seamaster online and when I finally put it on my wrist, I felt cold & it didn’t spoke to me The bb metas actually got me feeling excited.
I bought this a couple of months ago and I love it, I went into the store to get a breitling but saw the burgundy which really stood out amongst the others, I found the jubilee bracelet with the style of the face and bezel a bit flashy, thought the three link suited the watch very well so went for that one. Amazing watch 👌
picked mine up on the 5 link about 2 months ago and it’s continues to win wrist time over BB Chrono , Pelagos, Sub etc. This combo, as you called out Bruce, hits so many marks! 🥃
Hi, I bought mine with a jubilee bracelet about 6 months ago, I have other watches that are even more expensive and important but I haven't been able to take it off my wrist for 6 months. Simply magnificent, of exceptional quality I can say that it is clearly superior to a SubMarine, to any other diver's watch of the same or higher price
Totally agree!!! if I didn’t have the 54 already then this one would surely be on my must have list. As soon as you put it on your wrist, your first thought is damn.
For me this tudor is the most beautiful,i try it in rolex store, the jubilee bracelet js realy very nice, very rolex too,and the contrast between the black and the bjrgondi is realy nice and perfect...4500€ is not too much for this very elegant watche.
I definitely found your channel this way. Bought and sold the ole "in house" burgundy twice. Thickness. I see myself owning this now thinner version on oyster at some point. No deal breakers but I prefer the flake to Lollipop, the finer coin edge, and the flat coffee dial of the previous version. The new more wearable case and excellent t-fit though.... I'll buy used in a year.
Beautiful watch was between this and an omega sub and went with this w/ a jubilee bracelet . Not just for the value but better looking in terms of quality compared to omega surprisingly.
Agreed, prefer the rose for the vintage vibes but that "shield" is going to POP with the Niners gear come Sundays in the fall.. (: Thanks for the vid, Bruce.
Hah, I bought this watch for the same reason, (bang bang niner gang). When I saw Brock Purdy wearing it for the Super Bowl, that was icing on the cake. This is henceforth the Brock Bay 49
Keep an eye on the original 2015 ETA Black Bay 79220N (Noir/Black Bezel) 'Smiley Face' and Tudor Rose dial. Only produced for 18 months. This is the watch that re-started Tudor in the modern age and will be a sought after future collectable.
I have the Pelagos blue date, BB41, BBgmt, and the Pro. The BB41 and BBgmt did not have the Tfit like the Pelagos and Pro. I bought the ZEALANDE strap for gmt opaline dial and changed the strap on BB41 to a jubilee from Uncle. I heard if you buy it now the 41 has an tfit. 😢
I did not realize this model did not have an AR coating on the sapphire. I've only tried it on inside the AD, which wasn't overly bright. This does wear really well though, especially on the 5-link. It's a solid value. I think I'm going to keep waiting for a blue Pelagos 39 to show up though. Come on, Tudor!
I agree it should have the AR coating. But after 2 months of ownership and wearing it outside a lot, I have to say it hasn't bothered me at all, in fact I don't notice it's absence. Tudor really took the BB to the next level with this watch!
Love mine on the Oyster (5 link for me is a bit 'wrong' for a sporty tough dive watch - just a personal preference...) And YES - an ARC would really be great - I have a Breathing SuperOcean and the ARC adds a lot to the look (more than I would have guessed...)
The red bezel really pops but if it's one watch collection than you have to go with the black monochrome, multi watch collection than I would say go with the red.
the problem about tudor, especially now with more increased prices, that people will always say that tudor is just a cheap rolex. And by now, you really have to think do i wanna buy a new black bay tudor watch for 4500 euro or do i go on a waitlist for the rolex oyster 41 for 6800 euros and just save the money in 1 year for it, till i can buy it. Even on second market you can get a rolex perpetual now for like 7800 - 8000 euros instant. Valuevice i would buy the older Burgundy from people, who wanna buy the one on or sell it with very good condition for under 3k. It also has the snowflake markers
What comes close at that price? How about the Longines Ultra Chron. Better depth rating, equal finishing, possibly better high beat caliber, arguably way more attractive, equal bracelet and $1,000 less. Just a thought.
I wish they'd incorporate some red in the actual dial. The Red Bezel has always felt like a franken-add-on to this combination. Some significant amount of red in the dial would tie things together. Maybe a fume layout (apologies if I'm not spelling that right)
I love it, every time I wear it makes me happy, I can't get bored with it. I have the previous model, I don't like the new T-clasp, it's not practical for me because the small shield shape stuff is too sharp.
I bought mine last year and it really pops on the wrist with the jubilee bracelet, it’s a great quality watch.
I second that, got mine last year with no regrets👍
I third that. I bought mine 6 hours ago and am already in love.
Wearing mine as I watch this video! It’s my “first” watch and I could not be happier
Congrats!
Just ordered one from my AD yesterday. Can't wait for it to arrive. Your video definitely helped contribute to my decision.
I really like the new 41 black metas but I love the burgundy

You can think that and you'd be totally wrong, but that doesn't mean it's not a fantastic piece

It’s terrific as is but agree the rose logo would be fantastic!
Fun fact that bezel click sound is the same click the safe makes at Tudor all by design which is really cool!

Its kinda crazy to think about. But the new METAS feels like a totally different watch compared to those lovely chunky ETA BBs
@@BruceWilliams yes. Tried on at the boutique. A refined piece compared to the old hammer 😆
I have the last iteration on aged black leather. Same movement just COSC not METAS. Love it. One of my favorite watches of all time.
I got mine 2 Months ago and it quickly became my everyday Watch. Such a stunning watch. Its just a shame that I dont wear it during vacation.
I have the blue bezel with the in-house movement. It's really accurate and loses about 1 second every couple of days.
It's the original Tudor. This is symbolic of the brand.
I agree with you, best Black Bay! That bezel is just awesome
I own this watch. I'm wearing this watch. I'm watching this review anyway. This watch is everything I could ask for, and more.
Would love it even more if the bezel was ceramic.

I'm in love with these new Black Bay 41s. I'm keep trying to figure out how to justify multiple of them in the collection😂

This tudor on the jubilee style bracelet master chronometer is the best tudor 🎉 serious contender 🎉
The red bezel really pops but if it's one watch collection than you have to go with the black monochrome, multi watch collection than I would say go with the red.
54 is the best BB for me the history the nostalgia the vintage vibe, this stil is a beautiful timepiece tho 😮
Always a case to be made for the most vintage feel

I have the Rolex submariner starbucks and day just. But find myself to be a Tudor fanboy. I enjoy my Pro, Pelagos blue date, gmt opaline and BB41.
I rather the classical BB58 Blue but I have to admit that the burgundy is a masterpiece
Nothing wrong w/the BB burgundy. I feel like I could see you in an IWC Mark XX or even a BP43, though.
Bring on the Harrod's Green.. for the win.. it's really nice.. the only issue is i think the bezel is slightly too wide.. just a tad
Very cool, though for me the very best is the new Inter Milan special edition!
Just bought the new monochrome BB. Still crushin' on it. Haven't worn any of my subs since I bought it. The burgundy is nice ,but just not my jam .
Agree this is there best watch
Is there any difference than the last year model? Cause I really like the red bezel.
Bought it last year in July … worn it two times , sold it … prefer the pro , much more character imo
This 41 series, the first ETA one is the best.
What comes close at that price? How about the Longines Ultra Chron. Better depth rating, equal finishing, possibly better high beat caliber, arguably way more attractive, equal bracelet and $1,000 less. Just a thought.
Ultra-Chron is ugly as hell
Honestly don't overlook the green & gold Harrod's edition. Not too hard to get even in the States.
Are these bezels ceramic? Are they ceramic on all the black bay models?
No the only ceramic bezeled black bay is the full ceramic blackout version
54 or pro all the way for me. . Not big on burgundy . Still a black bay though, if the color an size are your jam then hell yea
This or the monochrome is a really tough choice 👍🏻
It's nicer on person. You won't be disappointed.
Are you sure there is no AR coating? Looks like it’s working to me
There might be one layer. Nothing compared to a Pelly though
Waiting for Tudor to offer the same bracelet on the BB 58..........
Big and flashy, huge lug to lug... But the look is fine

Personally I prefer the old square on the second hand to the circle on the new model, otherwise it’s a hit.
Walked in to the boutique with intentions of buying it, but did not. For me it was just ok. I just see a Rolex homage with a different color scheme.
That's what the draw is for many. Its what the sub used to be decades ago
Understood. Maybe i am an old collector. I guess Tudor is what it was supposed to be originally just now looking like vintage Rolex.
Quite odd that someone who has spent a fortune on an unnecessarily expensive watch is looking for a watch.
Material things fade!
When Tudor started rolling out METAS movements they set their sights squarely on dominating Omega even more
NOWHERE NEAR OMEGA. MEN LIE. WOMEN LIE. NUMBERS DO NOT. TUDOR SALES ARE DOWN. TUDOR IS A ONE TRICK PONY 😂😂😂😂😂
Seriously considering buying, seriously? Shit or get off the pot is what my pops says!
Bur-Gandhi.
Tudor: The one trick pony.
One trick: killing it
It's a good trick. 😊@@BruceWilliams
That would be AP
Still Worst hands of almost any brand, which people pretend they love. Snowflake hands are on par with siringe hands on uglyness.
