This is not pointless for me, it has solved a problem I had with ESET VPN that could not be navigated using the Firestick remote. I now have full control of the VPN despite their tech dept. saying it could not be done! Thanks so much for this.
I am glad this helped with Eset which isn't primarily designed to run on a Firestick.
Hello and thank you for your videos! I watched your previous one where you show hot to connect with Vysor, but I couldn't click on "settings" into my Fire TV stick with that method.
I have checked this second method but the result is the same. Do you know any workaround?

I have used the Cursor keys on the keyboard to navigate then used the Enter or Return key on the keyboard to select (i.e push the middle button)
Very interesting - and does work quite well. But it's more an exercise in what's possible rather than being of any real use. 🙂

Could be combined with mesh VPN like nord or tailscale (free) to provide remote support to friends and family. Cool!

Google Chromecast with Eero mesh router doen't connet. The Network manager hangs for ever after I click connect button.
Launch manager is being blocked by firetv stick security.

Wouldn't using ftp be much simpler?

I had a way to copy and back up / share all my apps on my network and could copy share ‘files’ but my router died. I think I set up a ftp using a memory stick on the router. It was very handy and slick.

This is all well and good but a bit pointless if there is no audio. The quickest way is to just plug your firestick into your Laptop
Plug in your fire stick into your laptop will not work because the HDMI port on the laptop is an output port only, you would need to buy a video capture card and plug that into your laptop, then plug the fire stick into the video capture card to achieve the same results. The idea behind this video is, if you had a lot of setting up to do, this would be easier as you have the use of the laptops keyboard and mouse, speeding up The process of typing in usernames passwords, and URLs.
I use a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to accomplish the same AND have audio. This seems much simpler to me.@@cwtek1

Amazon disabled ADB. I assume this will no longer work.
Pressing "Connect" completely freezes up my firestick and displays "Device failed to get connected (Is it an Android dev?" Like the below person mentioned, this most likely has something to do with the new change that force disables ADB. This honestly almost broke my firestick so if you're still desperate and can't spend no more than $8 on a cheap HDMI-USB capture card (that bypasses HDCP encryption) then I would suggest trying this tutorial on an older model which is no longer maintained as opposed to the 4K which is still in circulation.
If not, please do not follow this tutorial, as this completely freezes up your 4K firestick and practically bricks the device hence the new update. Just get an HDMI capture card that bypasses HDCP ffs...

Internet should go away y people are getting more lazy now days everything proven people's health should comes first vhs movies more greater than your video is now days everything proven people are going behind people's back now days and buying vhs movies and VCR players cleaning tapes and VCR belts offline now days and people don't know it at all plus my self and I know vhs movies keeps me moving more than Disney plus and Netflix and Hulu and UA-cam does
