I'm glad you enjoyed them, man!
Fun fact, my TF2 song came VERY close to being called 'A Matter of Factions' to make this a trilogy. ;)
On the Nutella thing, I thought you might mention this! NUTella is the official global pronunciation. Because it's made of HazelNUTs! There is only ONE country in the world that calls it 'NEWtella' and that is the US! The reason?
When it was first introduced in the USA in 1983 Americans hated it. Peanut butter is SUCH a big thing in the US vs the rest of the world that American consumers could not comprehend the idea of a spread with the word 'nut' in the name that _wasn't_ a peanut butter. It sold very poorly. So the Ferrero company started branding it as 'NEWtella' in the US instead and suddenly everyone liked it.
So the way you pronounce it over there is a special name just so you guys don't confuse it with Peanut Butter. :P
Thanks for commenting, and for once again schooling me! 😅
Fun Fact. In Germany it is pronounced like "NOOtella" probably because the German word for nut is "Nuss" which has a similar sound. Now I wonder how many different pronounciations there are :D. Maybe other countries have different pronounciations too depending on their word for "nut".
That's the funniest thing on the planet, especially considering my subpar diet mostly consists of peanut butter sandwiches when I don't know what else to eat.
As an American, I've only heard it pronounced nut-ella, and only nu-tella when purposely doing a silly voice for fun
@skulgan Peanut butter is actually quite protein rich, only main issue is carbs
I think we need a new measure of quality for Rap songs called The Stupendium which is the density of quality bars per second in a song.
I absolutely second this idea!
Yes.
@idiot with internet access I second that
A Matter of Factories has to be, in my opinion, the best showcase of the Stupendium's talents.
The rhymes are solid and snappy, the internal ones especially. Nothing is repeated nor is it ever boring, there's always something to snap your attention right back to the lyrics, even when the video is distractingly pretty. The rhythm is unbelievably fast and smooth, and his flow doesn't hiccup once. The visuals are stunning -- the way the holograms reflect on his glasses and illuminate his coat when he steps through them!
And he kinda let loose on this one, I feel. During the "It's a little bit of sweat, a little bit of toil" bit, there's something about the way he says it -- the maniacal grin, the growling hysteric tone, the forceful strut towards the camera -- that makes it hit so much harder. It's fantastic, seriously, incredibly fantastic.
Another Stupendium song that is very "corporation exploiting workers" themed is "The Fine Print". It's a song he made about the game "The Outer Worlds". Funny enough Dan Bull has also a video about the Outer Worlds that is also very nice and similar themed of course, but has a totally different style. So it would be perfect for a double feature or comparison.
Woohoo! Two Stupendium songs, a Compendium if you will.
The stupendous compendium
More of a Twopendium.
more of ступенька
Take my like already.
I am so glad that another person made a reaction to the song about Satisfactory, it is one of his three songs that show humanity from all sides.
Speaking of Stupendium and puns, his Milk Milk Lemonade is his most punstorm song. It's, quite honestly, a ridiculous amount of puns
And if you like the consumerism/capitalism kind of songs then you would like "Outer Worlds".
Yes
I must absolutely recomend The Fine Print, although it's not necessarily comedic, it has some of the best lyrics from Stupendium to this date.
"Bonecage's is the only other matter of facts song I've listened to" Does that mean you havn't listened dan bull's? Because it's pretty good.
Agreed, Dan's is great. As soon as JT music announced the fact challenge I knew Dan was going to do something weird.
Two of my favorites are "What a Fowl Day" and "Nook, Line and Sinker"
I know you have done the Rouge's Gallery song. But have you done "Hallowed Wings" or "Nook Line and Sinker"? I didn't see them with a quick search. Forgive me if I missed them.
Just noticed, the line "All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small" is shared between These Hallowed Wings and A Matter of Factories!
And I know I have been saying a lot of songs but "Shelter from the Storm" would be great to do while winter is still happening.
Shelter from the Storm is probably my favorite song of stupendium, and you should listen to it at some point, but I can’t honestly say it is in any way comedic. All good bars, but not even anything that counts as a in joke for the source like in the hitman song.
@@jameswalker9664 yeah. It's a serious song for Stupendium's standards.
The Stupendium has made a song that you can kind of participate in. It's his Cuphead song called "Milk Milk Lemonade"
One thing I love is the visual effects on A Matter of Factories. Like, with all the holographics he pulls up, you can actually see the light reflecting off of him, as they would if they were real holograms.
You constantly surprise me with how many well-known people you personally know.
Honestly? Me too!
Satisfactory is a game where you basically trying to create a planet-sized factory and send a tons of various resources and products to FicsIt via space elevator. A nice game with beautifull graphics, though in terms of factory-building and... "building world without leaves" i like Factorio more
So much happens in a matter of factories I feel overwhelmed at the end
If you want the two most clever Stupendium songs I'd say MILK MILK LEMONADE and A Little Heart are the two most clever, really twisting with the puns and references.
The one in the middle is called Rustage, he is one of the biggest rapper in the anime rapping scene that is getting more and more traction, I don’t know if it qualifies as comedy songs, but I recommend watching I’m if only on your free time.
The Satisfactory song is one of my favorites.
Possibly my absolute favorite is Slide Into the Void, but I dont think it's as funny as most of them. Amazing song, not sure how reactworthy it is from you specifically? IDK.
Fun Fact:P at 22:22 that verse about all things bright and beautiful is from another one of his songs about the museum curator from Animal crossing. You should check it out
I'm biased because I love the game but A Matter of Factories is genuinely my favourite song in quite a while. Absolutely amazing work from start to finish, no notes.
Factories is one of my favs, so many good bars, flips, flow n the beat/tone fits so well with the content. The inheritance line stuck well. Also a bit in "these hollowed wings" has a call back to this song. Matter of facts I knew a fair amount of bits in it, but one that stuck out the most was about jaimis cvu, cause I never heard of that even in passing before.
16:23
It is indeed similar to Minecraft, specifically a Minecraft plugin called slimefun, where you constantly grind for alloys and ores while working on automating things so you can build more
I would recommend another Stupendium song, but at this point you probably just have a list of all of them. So instead, I'll recommend you check out Fandroid Music / Griffinilla, he doesn't make much now, but he was so cool as a kid, some of his best songs are:
"Built in the 80's"
"Curiosity (Got the Best of Me)"
"Senpai Notice Me"
The guy in the middle with the signs are "Rustage", another prominent member of nerdcore, sometimes chiming ing with a bar or two on Stupendiums own song, and oft seen actor in quite a few of his videos; see, for example, Stupendiums "What a fowl day" where he is the poor victim of the gooze.
Yey! Was waiting for this one.
Ah yes I’m back, and now I can enjoy four reactions at the same time, great Job
You should react to the Stupendium's Goat Simulator song. I think it's really good (as all of his videos are).
I think you might be the first reaction-maker who noticed the sheer balls-to-the-wall insanity of that second verse's flow on A Matter Of Factories.
I love the double reaction!
If you want another capitalism song, look at the fine print, the stupendium Outer Worlds song.
Also, I don't know if you've done any of the animal crossing songs, but I know you havn't done Nook Line and Sinker which is the first and my favorite. If you havn't, you could do those in one video. It goes Nook Line Sinker, These Hallowed wings, Rouge's Gallery.
There are also the Fnaf songs, Especialy Fazbear Family, which have that vanier of creepy capitalism. Although I like the second fnaf song best: Back Together (The help wanted song).
I was looking for matter of factories I should have known they were just put together
I’ve listened to the facts song so many times I have memorized the lyrics
the intro before the intro was amazing lol
As far as I remember, Stupendium actually says "on beat" _Supercalifragilisticexpialidoceous_ in his "Kingdom Hearts" rap... Or some other one that's heavily Disney related.
Woo more Stupendium!Yay!
The reason Ian knows Goofy was formerly Dippy-Dog is likely due to being a comedian, thus researches the funnies to do the funnies better - and the rubberband cartoons are a form used to envoke the funnies.
I find it weird, but cool that I knew most of these facts before I saw that video about facts
Stupendium songs that i find amazing: all of them ofcourse.
Maby react to "Way way deeper down", "Why did i say okie dokie?" and "Art of darkness"
If you want a lot of puns watch "Milk Milk lemonade".
Love your reactions
Elephant death was Edison and westing house
I just realized.. at 18:06, the little rectangles with the green in them above Stupendium, have the green in the shape of horns. Even their machines know they're the bad guys.
5:14 - you can avoid jumping back as far when rewinding on UA-cam (if you want) by using the arrow keys (left and right) or the Less than and Greater than keys for smaller jumps.
...
The J and L keys do larger jumps, K will pause, and 1 through 0 moves you to a section of timeline in 10% increments.
(also, only tangentially related, by holding shift when pressing < or > you can alter play speed)
Good to know!
Its more like 3D factorio
Factorio Is a 2Dish game about construction optimization And perfection of a factory
Very Fun And even more addictive
16:22 To me, it looks more like Subnautica without the water.
8:00 - While true that the elephant was electrocuted, there are conflicting accounts.
Topsy, the elephant, had tragically been mistreated by her handlers and had turned on, and killed, one of them. So they planed to execute the elephant (by hanging) in a public spectacle for which they sold tickets for audience to come view the execution. The SPCA stepped in, objecting to the method of death, and electrocution was decided to be more humane. Although this did use Edison's methods and equipment, there is very little evidence to show that Edison was involved in the process. (The elephant had already been poisoned as a backup plan in case the electrocution failed).
Going back to this song I think the best line might be hung, drawn and quarterly.
Okay, Tesla v. Edison fact that I hope hasn't been said yet and hoping you didnt google it :3
The reason why Edison had killed the elephant was to show, ironically, the safety of the Direct Current (DC Current). Nowadays we use the much more popular Alternating Current (AC current) for things like long-range electric connections, but Edison, being his little douchy self, went, "nuh-uh, DC current is better." So, in a last-ditch attempt to sway the people to DC, he had Topsy the Elephant, who was set to be executed that day for violent tendencies through no fault of her own, step on 2 copper plates, had a thick copper-wore noose around her neck, and sent 6,000 volts of electricity through her.
And fun fact about Tesla: theres a spot in Russia where no life can grow, all the trees that were once green now dead and shriveled, but no markings ANYWHERE as a sign to what happened. The reason why Tesla got involved was because people theorize that he had used his little death ray weapon he tried to design and destroyed the area. And we'll never know cuz he was dead and couldn't deny it, but I guess that would mean he couldn't have done it either...
May I suggest The Stupendium's song art of darkness.
I love your reactions (I Just subscribe) but thers two of the stupendium that you have to do (I mean because you will like a lot xD)
1,the fine print
2.slide into the void
(this are my sujesction
They are already on my list! 😅
Fun fact! The line: “All things bright and beautiful and creatures great and small, will be logged and processed for our share holders bank roll.” Shows up in another Stupendium song featuring Blathers the owl. Lending credence to the confirmed fan theory that Blathers is actually a complete megalomaniac psychopathic collector. Which is why he doesn’t bat an eye at accepting donations of obviously stolen art to put on display instead of returning to their rightful owners.
Quite literally a collector gone mad.
I wonder if he bank rolls Ficit Ink?
Ok so, I didn't realize that I was removed from your subscription and for a whole 3 months thought that you were on break. Like, the last video I watched was your NSP- Welcome to my Parents House reaction.
Wild huh, that UA-cam for ya. Well, gotta binge and catch tf up. Cheers!!
3:12 when the episode actually starts
If you think the lyrics in this are clever you should see his song called ,The West was One' it's about Read Dead Redemption 2 and his rapping is insane
A friend of mine is fond of the phrase; "Humanity, Automation, Capitalism. Pick two."
This is clearly the embodiment of emphasizing the latter two.
I think a good Stupendium song to react to in February would be "Rip and Tear(My Way to Your Heart)", which is a Doom:Eternal love song.
Oh was waiting for | A Matter of Facts its a surprised but a nice one
Well I suggest reacting to "A PURPOSE FOR NEW LONDON | Faith vs Order - Frostpunk Rap Battle!
" by Stupendium and dan bull
You should totally listen to Stupendium’s Kingdom Hearts song “A Little Heart”. It’s filled with Disney references and is all around fantastic.
FACTS
I'd like to suggest the Longest Sohns' comedy songs. Most arn't comedic, as they are either traditional Sea Shanties or modern Sea shanties with serious subjects. However Hoist up the Thing and Got No Beard are both comedic sea shanties that are their origonals, and both have music videos.
They also have a cover of The Last Saskatchewan Pirate by arrogant worms, Called the Last Bristolian Pirate, but if you havn't heard a ersion of that song I'd recomend the video "Canadian Horse Pirates" by Viva Reverie which is a really good animation of the origonal song.
To compensate for the environmental destruction in the last video, maybe you could react to his planet zoo song? It's one of my favourites but no one really talks about it. It's a shame.
I would have sung it in this year's school music competition, but this year probably isn't having a music competition, and my private teacher isn't doing lessons. It's such a cool song.
The Stupendium is great at tackling corrupt businessmen. If you havent already I recommend The Fine Print and The house always wins. Both with similar themes but very different songs.
Rustage is one of the cameos.
LETS GO DOUBLE STUPES
First the camera twitch in the one christmas video, and now some glitchiness barely over four minutes into this video… Is\was there an ARG with these videos, or is Ian's camera just jank?
I don't know of any glitchiness in this video...weird.
Alien minecraft *mind blown*
"I'm pretty sure Bonecage's was all fake."
Yeah. So is Dan Bull's.
Dissolved wasp is better than a live one I feel. Have separate compartments in your brain although when I exam invigilated in silence I got the facts song mixed up with Tim minchins cheese song. I haven't been back to education for years planning to this year. Your expressions are good yes he seems to do evil business men a lot. He did do a video called Android Hell Blues with Harry101uk but not sure whether it counts as comedy. He has a few musical covers in his older videos legally blonde blood in the water to Matilda and the Muppets.
Satisfactory is essentially no man sky graphics with factorio gameplay
Want to know something ironic? I nearly missed the mention of NMS because I was just thinking about it at the same time lol
Pictures of Spider-Man is real good
Notification Squad! :D
This video is almost 2 years old...you may wanna make sure about those notifications 😅
Congrats 14:08 you Hit it XD
A year later, but yeah! Thanks!
Pepsi owned a fleet of Russian Ships and subs which made it the sixth biggest fleet in the world. (it no longer has the fleet sadly).
And the very first chapter on "memes" was in a book about evolutionary biology.
"Memes for Jesus" is amusing as a concept because they owe their origin to Richard Dawkins.
How about you react to its a joy.
I think you can en joy the song
i think the best way to see Satisfactory is by checking out Factorio. I got it for free. Clear inspirations were taken.
If Pringles ever said "cut them up" about potatoes they must have changed their minds, their disgusting "chips" are nothing like sliced potatoes.
I mean, opinions about their product aside, you clearly just don't understand how jokes work.
Hey bro listen to both bendy stupendium songs k
I will eat all the figs, as I hate wasp with a passion.
I think the reason that the Stupendium has a lot of Capitalist themes in his songs is because a lot of games are about how Capitalism, when taken to the extreme is very not good
If you think the Satisfactory song was 'capitalism the song', try comparing it to Stupendium's other capitalism song, THE FINE PRINT | The Outer Worlds Song. Also a really good one, even if you never played the game.
ua-cam.com/video/vvANy49Kqhw/v-deo.html
4:05 Post a picture when you mention someones appearance
I didn't this time because I mentioned he's on a few videos on my account, so I figured if folks were interested they'd go seek those out 😅
The Stupendium is a little too good at portraying skeezy corporates.... (but damn he's good!)
Honestly, I would call it a song more about the tragedy of the commons rather than just capitalism
Not really a comedy song but, could you react to your new boyfriend by Wilbur Soot?, if you haven't already of course. Also I would read the description of the video and watch these 3 in order.
I'm In love with a E-Girl
The internet ruined me
Your new boyfriend.
Have a nice day :)!.
If it's not really a comedy song, I'm not likely to react to it here, as comedy songs are the focus of this. Thanks for the suggestion, tho!
@@Insaneian anytime!, also I haven't been on UA-cam lately because of school work, so I need to catch up on a lot of your videos.
satisfactory is 3d factorio.
You missed the opportunity to put the second song with, the fine print.
It also has to do with capitalism
If you want a capitalism song try "the fine print"
It's on the Patreon poll!
