I agree.... (obviously) and also besides the fact that Drag Race Engines only have to stay together for a quarter of a mile --- whereas Circle Track endurance and even Marine hi-perf/Offshore Racing with their extremely super high load/high stress type stuff must stay together and be able to endure for many miles and several minutes if not hours. 🧐

In the mid 80's, there was a fella in NASCAR country who offered a 5 to 7 thousand dollar update to the spindle and housing on the Sunnen VGS 20. I talked with a fella who said the results were enough better that the volume of heads was way up in the Cup shops due to all chatter, runout were completely gone.
I didn't do it but the question always bothered me because it took too long to complete a perfect valve seat. Oh, I could do it alright but, especially canted valves, I found the thing that worked for me to offset the drop of the cutting head which always drops straight down causing the center line to change.
I guess when this guy modified the head, it always cut square.
    Talking with Sunnen, they laughed.
    Yours updated ?
