Initial un-boxing and trial fit of a safety gate to test if it's appropriate. I appreciate the fitment for the video is a little off, I have since straightened and tightened and it's perfectly sufficient for my needs.
UPDATE: 2+ years later and it is still firmly in place, no issues, would highly recommend 👍🏻

Excellent video in my experience the pressure fit is fine 3 kids hang off of ours and they are still there!
Screws should definitely be used when at the top of a staircase, it’s not recommended to use pressure fit gates in this scenario.
Your update video brought me here
You didn’t even tell us how to do it
Nice
Very cool design and perfect performance but the horizontal profile on the floor can be removed just with a little modification. Having a obstacle in the stair case is dangerous and can cause people seriously damage if they miss the obstacle specially during the night.
I understand the point you are making but I really wouldn't remove the horizontal bar at the bottom, the whole thing would just fall apart as it's this bar that provides the tension to hold the gate in place.
I mounted 3 gates of that type. 1 of them falls back and is locked without further action. 2 of them fall back but then further action is necessary. I have to push the yellow button back manually. What is the correct mounting in your opinion??
The one that falls back and closes without extra action. The other two may have the gap a little too tight. Loosen the fittings a little at the top to open it up a touch.
Hi mate my one is same one but the gate is not closing like it says that the gate is auto close... To close the gate i have to pull it up. Could you please advise about the problem ??
In my trial fit in this vid when everything was a bit "loose" it closed by itself without issue. Since I straightened it out and tightened it all up I have had the same. For me, giving it a little lift to close has not been an issue, also it still clicks into place with bit of swing, rather than under its own weight. I suspect there is a "sweet spot" for the tightness of the gap to allow the gate to close by it self. You could try loosening it a bit and see what happens, but obviously don't make it so loose that it's no longer sturdy.
@@rhino16v39 Could you please make a video that will help me and a lot of others who got same issue.
I hope to at some point. I don't have much spare time at the minute unfortunately.

Ok, first off its great to find an English installation video that goes into more detail, and not just skipping to the finished article and ending. However, pressure mounted gates should NOT be used at the top of the stairs - ever. Because of the obvious risk it a toddler pushes and, god forbid it's worked loose, gate and baby go careening downstairs. It's perfectly fine for doorways or on first step at bottom of stairs. Also I'm horrified that, nit only are you using it at the top of stairs, but have installed it without the cups to further secure it tightly to the wall and, aren't going to use the supplied pads to do it but something else? I'm not really understanding the "let's see how it goes, it's a bit wobbly etc" attitude tbh. Please, please fix it properly and, if using at the top of the stairs, please use th screws version for extra security!!
Hi, thanks for you comment and raising your concerns, however I feel perhaps you haven't read the initial comment along side the video that says it was a trial fit and I have since installed much more securely 😉
Thank god for this guide because the instructions are terrible
Spent hours already today trying to install it (granted i’m useless with DIY). So, going to try this!
Πόσο κοστίζει;
My one came with an enormous gap at the top lock, i have put it onto the wall and closed the gap but i am not happy with the product mainly due that gap, i would have expected the guard to be made with tolerances that are close not "miles apart", I for one am disappointment by this product, basically its crap, you pay top dollar and get crap !,
My gate also had a large gap up to and I could not understand why. At first I thought something was missing. Men then I realized that it was just a matter of tightening the sides at the top and unscrewing the screws so the gate locks perfectly.
If you mean the gap is by the latch that holds the gate shut then I'd expect you may not have fitted it correctly. You'll need to extend the screws at the top corners to "push" the gap together, as per Dennis' comment above. It'll be the same for all pressure fit gates, not just this specific one.
Just got one! Totally useless product ! Not firm and stable, quite risky do not recommend !
Maybe not installed correctly or the gap is too big for the gate. Mine is still firmly in place.
