My 2 year niece opens it easily by sliding the yellow lock to one side - should the locking mechanism require it to be lifted as well as pulled open upon unlock?

I mounted 3 gates of that type. 1 of them falls back and is locked without further action. 2 of them fall back but then further action is necessary. I have to push the yellow button back manually. What is the correct mounting in your opinion??

Hello, I think these videos on the stair gate are great strange question for u, ur stairs look the same shape as mine did u use the same stair gate at the bottom of ur stairs too? Struggling on what to get for the rounding shape of the stairs. Would this fix at the bottom too so u think? Thanks

*Excellent quality gate with easy installation. **do7.pl/NSBabyGate** I have now had this gate for 6 months and it still functions exceptionally well. You need to fine tune the adjustments to ensure a good fit. My only complaint is that it is very difficult in my stairway to get the exact adjustment on each side to ensure a good closure on the top and bottom mechanism. And this adjustment is thrown off when the middle loosens up. I can manually pull it to back into place but its too bad the middle brackets don't tighten down better.Although this deserves in many ways 4 stars because of the problems stated above I gave it 5 stars because there is no perfect gate on the market yet and this is the best one on the market I have seen and tried. Its very nice looking. Much much higher end looking than any other gate I have seen. So many gates cheapen the look of a house. We wanted to avoid that in our new home.Pros:Fairly easy install. Drill pilot holes first as a recommendationVery nice looking and high quality. Metal gate is much better than those cheaper plastic gates.Durability is excellent. Very cool design and perfect performance but the horizontal profile on the floor can be removed just with a little modification. Having a obstacle in the stair case is dangerous and can cause people seriously damage if they miss the obstacle specially during the night.

My one came with an enormous gap at the top lock, i have put it onto the wall and closed the gap but i am not happy with the product mainly due that gap, i would have expected the guard to be made with tolerances that are close not "miles apart", I for one am disappointment by this product, basically its crap, you pay top dollar and get crap !,

Ok, first off its great to find an English installation video that goes into more detail, and not just skipping to the finished article and ending. However, pressure mounted gates should NOT be used at the top of the stairs - ever. Because of the obvious risk it a toddler pushes and, god forbid it's worked loose, gate and baby go careening downstairs. It's perfectly fine for doorways or on first step at bottom of stairs. Also I'm horrified that, nit only are you using it at the top of stairs, but have installed it without the cups to further secure it tightly to the wall and, aren't going to use the supplied pads to do it but something else? I'm not really understanding the "let's see how it goes, it's a bit wobbly etc" attitude tbh. Please, please fix it properly and, if using at the top of the stairs, please use th screws version for extra security!!

Excellent video in my experience the pressure fit is fine 3 kids hang off of ours and they are still there!
