I am a working woman and always used to order food. I have started prepping on weekends now and we not only save money but avoid feeling guilty of eating outside food. Thank you dear 😊
I store stuff like grated coconut, peeled garlic, chopped onion etc. as is in the freeze and freezer. But I liked the ice cube method of storing better. That way, you can take out the ingredient easily without affecting all of it. Very efficient. More power to you ❤️
Dear I have shown both the methods. I think you missed seeing it. boiled frozen peas are convinient for quick instant recipes like Poha, Upma. There you don't need to wait for peas to get softened. They are almost ready to eat whereas if you keep peas as it is you will need to boil them or wait while cooking to make them soft. I store both ways. I kept corn same way as your mother.
@SimplifyYourSpaceN ot sure nutritionally if freezing cooked stuff is really good. But definitely better than eating processed/packaged foods i agree
Very informative and useful video Ashuji! Thank you for these! I have to add 2 points here. Hope it is taken in a good way. 1. While you drain hot water to sink, always keep you tap on so that hot water doesn't spoil the drainage pipe. 2. These quick solutions are good. But it should not be made a habit to always use freezed items even when we have time to prepare fresh. According to ayurveda too much of freezed items usage can cause health problems in long run. I have seen many of them suffer because of it. So it is good to inculcate habit of having fresh food whenever possible and use the hacks only when we run out of time. Thanks again!
Thank you so much. Hot water doesn't spoil the drainage, instead it helps remove clogging. I understand about your 2nd point. I already mentioned this at the beginning of the vide that making fresh food is always better but it is not possible for all especially working individuals, new moms, kids living alone for studies. Then they get dependent on packaged food or restaurant food which is far more worse. With these tips at least they can prepare quick home cooked fresh meals. And these are just the prep ingredients, I never suggested to cook the food and store. I think most of us already make ginger garlic paste, coriander chutney and store in the fridge. I am just saying, keep them in the freezer instead to increase the shelf life. Freezing delays spoilage and keeps foods safe by preventing microorganisms from growing and by slowing down the enzyme activity that causes food to spoil. As the water in the food freezes into ice crystals, it becomes unavailable to those microorganisms that need it for growth.
When these Ayurveda texts were written were modern day freezers present? Ayurveda also does not want you to use air conditioning, fans, store bought grains. Are you going back to farming and grinding your own? Given up modern conveniences like ac and fans? No right? Science says freezing preserves nutrients and if produce is frozen during its peak, it can actually be better than fresh.

So, my first question is that container should be glass container or anything else?? My second question is that prepared ice cubes should be kept in freezer always or can it be kept in normally fridge ???
Hi..You can use good airtight plastic container or glass container. If you freeze anything, it needs to be stored in freezer only. you can take out 1 cube 20-30 minutes before preparing meals.

Mam I wanna ask one query. Pls reply it. When the ice cubes of strawberry, garlic ginger paste, onion paste is ready. You keep it in a airtight container.

I peel and store peas in plastic air tight containers in the freezer. Stays fresh for many months. No need of adding sugar.
