Massive thanks to you, everyone who worked on the modlist, and the Wabbajack devs. I've been modding Skyrim since 2013 and it has never been this easy to get into it, thanks to people like you! It was shocking to me that I got the entire modlist installed in under half an hour (most of which was hands-off and automated), and then was left with plenty of time to customize it and add my own mods into it. I feel like I can finally actually play the game.
Just want to thank you for this incredible modpack . As much as I love Skyrim VR , the modding always got me frustrated at some point (as things did not work correctly), but this just works perfectly and includes everything I needed (and much more).. so again, THANK YOU 😃
As someone with no free time at all due to working all the time, this shit is a godsend! Totally recommend this to anyone! Just follow the directions step by step and you'll be playing in two hours tops. Better than compared to a week or month, that's for sure!
The wabbajack download failed the first try but there were no errors on the second and I can't believe how much better the game looks with your mod list while also having zero performance issues unlike the list I was playing. Thankyou for all the work you've done.
Just felt a huge wave of immersion pass by me as I realized I was watching a guide for a game while being in the game. Was using the oculus home menu so I was able to admire the starting world while watching the video. Also that sharpening enb works wonders! I thought there was no shot the stock blurriness would be fixed. The preset for opencomposite boosted my performance, so I might sneak in some extra visual mods with the extra room. Thanks for the modpack!

thank you so much. i just recently got an oculus quest 2 as a late birthday gift and skyrim was one of my first games i wanted to try. despite having a good enough pc to comfortably run the game it still looked like it was smeared in vasoline and has a few issues that made it hard to enjoy. i just spent the last 2 days installing FUS and as soon as my new face pad comes in today i cant wait to set it up. the customizability of the pack combined with the amount of raw stuff there is to use is really great and im genuinely excited.
It would have been cool to give a quick overview of the controls too For example when you said "open your menu" and "use the calibration tool", it took me a while to find the correct buttons

You've basically turned skyrim vr into what it should have been, or more realistically, what Microsoft would release as the "Tamriel Edition" for a 10 Dollar Upgrade and have it have necessary quality of life and Hardware compatibility fixes, while also marketing it as "it's you're fault if you don't buy it and have a worse experience" (and when you buy it in a bundle, you actually just get the base game and need to buy the upgrade) *cough* outer worlds *cough*
I love this mod, but I'm having a couple problems. I have a i7 3770 w/ a Radeon RX 580 graphics card, & I've got 16GB of RAM. I'm using an Oculus 2 headset. While the game looks great, I'm noticing some graphics flutter that I'm unsure how to correct. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
how to disable all or at least fps heavy graphical mods?? i get 22 fps in character creation world... and still low in whiterun with a decent PC like wtf
One more problem: when I start the game I get a quest in the category "unbound": Start the game. I talked to the Jarl in Winterhold and got some quest, but this unbound quest never starts. I fear this is a bigger problem and the main story did not start.
Can somebody please tell me what button do I push to get the power calibration menu to come up? It’s selected in the magic section, but I can’t get it to come up. I pushed every freaking button and every combination I can think of and it won’t come up.
That depends on your controller mapping. Check the controller mapping guide on the wiki. Cangar mapping eg has no button for it because I do it once using the standard layout and then switch it off and use Vrik gestures for shouts
@@TheCangar I am beyond frustrated. I’ve watched video after video. I’ve read post after post. I’ve even tried remapping mods to try to get it to work. The only thing I can’t get to work is the power calibration at the beginning. I don’t know what’s going to happen when I get my first shout. I just don’t know what to do. I’m ready to quit because I’ve been working on this for almost a week. It shouldn’t be this hard, I can’t find the wiki page that you’re talking about. Is there a way to manually calibrate?
So I installed and everything works perfect except for my oculus controllers, they show up as vive wands any idea why? Edit: Found a fix, just deactivate “open composite” in your mod list and it should fix it.
I can't speak to Jarl. The only option that appears is "Pickpoint", but there's no options shown to me. "Helgen has been burn to ashes" doesn't show up for me, any tips for this? Or at the very least, can I start the story somewhere else? I'd like to do it here but if that's not an option..
Hello Cangar :) your list of mods and your profile works perfectly, but I didn't read the answer to a certain question from the guide: in MO2 I see that several mods have newer versions, how to update them one at a time so as not to crash the game? Second question: can I freely add a mod, e.g. to change the wolf model, or add new opponents?
i dont recommend updating mods. some might be safe but some might not be and then we cant give support. some might even break the load order and the subsequent patches. in general you can update them by just downloading and installing the new version. same goes for adding mods, however, you are on your own then in terms of determining load order and patches etc.
Im currently installing FUS, thanks A LOT btw for a new modder (modded Skyrim close to release but that was about a decade ago). QUestion, do you use Natural Locomotion or VRocker? WHat apps do you use for walking/running?
Hi everyone. When I play using cangar profile on the work pc all the armor and weapons look beautiful and shiny. Rig is i9 10900k 32gb ram 2080ti. But when I play at home on my i5 12400f 32gb ram 3080 all the weapons and armor dont have the same shine and everything just looks a bit dull. Is there a setting I can adjust for this? I'm not sure why it would be different on the 2 pcs. Thanks

The list is pretty easy to augment but you will be responsible for it yourself of course. The discord has a dedicated channel for adding mods though so check that out

Hello there! So im brand new to Skyrim and vr. I tried vanilla and i realized its bad looking. I downloaded this ( I've never done any moding) and its great! I have some quick questions. 1. The second quest is "before the storm" which comes before the bleak falls quest. Is there any way to trigger the second quest? 2. Im using the quest 2 and when i snap turn i notice some tearing. Do you have any idea? :) Thanks!
happy you like it! 1. this is skipped when using realm of lorkhan, so you start the main quest by approaching the jarl of whiterun directly 2. sounds like your performance is too bad. for performance adjustment check our performance guide on the wiki, and for more support join the FUS discord server :)
so to get FUS, i need to install the only option which is FUS RO DAH, then without a special nexus account, click SLOW DOWNLOAD a thousen time, and then, the day after when its done, remove 75% of it in mod organizer and keep the green part ? and if it fail, and try to redownload the missing mod through wabbajack, it redownload everything again ... oh boy.. i will go upgrade my nexus account for a month..
Why would you need to remove anything? The wabbajack always installs all mods but you can choose your preferred profile after installation. If it fails it saves all progress. Nexus premium is recommended nonetheless and also fair since they host a lot of files and also give back money to the mod authors.
@@TheCangarbecause i wanted just the small FUS part.. and did not wanted to download the whole thing since yesterday it took many hours .. it was night and day difference with a premium account.. i am at the point of figuring out why the vrik calibration spell is not working .. with the fus ro dah untouched
Im curious if you still set attack to only 50% even with current cangar or fus roh dah modlist? Im wondering if newer mods like Planck make melee better in a way that makes this unnecessary.
Tbh this is only relevant if you want to balance melee and archery vs magic. Otherwise just the difficulty setting is fine. Planck doesn't not affect this, and other mods like physical blocking just empower melee more. This balances just the fact thst in vr you can do more strikes per second than in flat. But then again melee is pretty underpowered so there's that...
@TheCangar that's what I'm looking to do (balance magic, melee and archery). The reason I mentioned Planck was that it mentions that it overhauls some of the swing dynamics which I thought might improve the problem of fast swinging in VR. If melee is generally underpowered though I wonder if I may be fine just not editing damage settings. (Thanks for all your work. I'm about to start a first ever playthrough with essentially fus roh dah and didn't see much on reddit/discord about Simply Balanced settings for newbies and 50% felt like a big drop.)
@@bryanshalloway8915 well in the base game you swing like once per second, and in VR you can go to town like a maniac with your hammer :D but I guess you can just start and adapt when you feel the need. Enjoy the game!
how can I run skyrimvr through airline via open composite? I ticked open composite and toggled steam vr in essentials presets. but nothing happens. downloaded the system wide file. run the program and kept the essentials presets the same and still nothing happens. i can run the game no problem via steamvr.
Does anyone know how to turn off the feature where gripping at the air makes your weapon appear in your hand? I can't throw or store weapons on my body. **Edit**: I didn't place the item on my body correctly before using it, so it was going off of the game's quick-draw mechanic, making the weapon randomly spawn in my hand while gripping at nothing.
@TheCangar So the weapons are just glued to your hand? Lol, what a shame. I was really hoping it was a setting I could disable. It's making it so I can't throw or stow weapons on my person. Anyways, much respect for the time you put into this modpack.
I don't know what you mean. Of course you can throw them or stow them. That's what weapon throw and Vrik do. Did you try to use them correctly? Perhaps check their mod pages :)
Do anybody know a solution for that: I use the Reverb G2 and even in the vanilla skyrim my hands are always closed to a fist after i pushed any button. its the only game i got this problem und so in the modded version it also doesnt work properly
Does MageVR need to be set up as well? In the video the bag acts like a shield and is always attached to my hand no matter what I do, apparently it can be holstered but I don't know how to do that.
A friend of mine gifted me skyrim VR and I havent done much with it until stumbling across your modpack. I'm SUPER excited to try it out but I seem to be having some issues with not being able to jump? I'm told it's the right thumbstick but from what I can tell it's not working properly. I can't jump into the roof of the inn at the begining. :( Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated. Upon review, it seems like the part of the roof that is supposed to be gone, for you to jump into, is intact instead, preventing me from moving forward. help..haha
i assume by jumping into the roof at the inn in the beginning you mean the tutorial? this is *strongly* not recommended. you must have changed something in the FUS mod setup, too, I assume, since we have realm of lorkhan enabled by default.

Question, I forgot to clean Skyrim before downloading all the Nexus mods through Wabbajack. I went ahead and cleaned it up and reinstalled it. Will that affect anything? Have yet to launch it yet through mod organizer.

What key did you bind to access the main menu (system menu)? I am using a Quest 2 and with FUS there is nothing bound using the Cangar choice of controller bindings.

I don't understand why that goofy weapon-throwing mod has become "essential." For some dumb fun, I get it; but an actual playthrough carrying a golf bag full of swords that you throw at people? Why not just use the Thomas the Tank Engine dragons and fart mods while you're at it?
I used it for hours and hours. You can have a return feature which feels very natural, especially if you play a spellsword so you can just say your character can have weapons return by magic. Or you can have it return only shields like captain America but weapons stick to the enemy which means it is a risk throwing the weapon but it does a lot of damage. Maybe before trashing a mod you can check out the settings, or just not assume that your opinions are true for all players.
I guess throwing knives and tomahawks arent a thing then... We all know that the default weapon glued to your hand trick is more immersive then being able to let go of the weapon at high velocity at a target totallyyyyy

The button layout is dependent on your choice so I can't show you. It is all available on the wiki though! Check that out again maybe :)

At the main gate guard, I spoke with him fine but all other npc's and the king for the main quest all I can do is pickpocket.
Then you're sneaking. You need to stand up or disable the auto sneak and jump mod

Set this up, but usually whenever I try to use wait feature I get permanent black screen unable to do anything other than reset. Anyone else get this?

Is there a reason you downloaded 'FUS RO DAH' instead of 'FUS' to get the "green part" without having to remove anything?

Im curious if you still set attack to only 50% even with current cangar or fus roh dah modlist? Im wondering if newer mods like Planck make melee better in a way that makes this unnecessary.
Tbh this is only relevant if you want to balance melee and archery vs magic. Otherwise just the difficulty setting is fine. Planck doesn't not affect this, and other mods like physical blocking just empower melee more. This balances just the fact thst in vr you can do more strikes per second than in flat. But then again melee is pretty underpowered so there's that...
@TheCangar that's what I'm looking to do (balance magic, melee and archery). The reason I mentioned Planck was that it mentions that it overhauls some of the swing dynamics which I thought might improve the problem of fast swinging in VR. If melee is generally underpowered though I wonder if I may be fine just not editing damage settings. (Thanks for all your work. I'm about to start a first ever playthrough with essentially fus roh dah and didn't see much on reddit/discord about Simply Balanced settings for newbies and 50% felt like a big drop.)
@@bryanshalloway8915 well in the base game you swing like once per second, and in VR you can go to town like a maniac with your hammer :D but I guess you can just start and adapt when you feel the need. Enjoy the game!
how can I run skyrimvr through airline via open composite? I ticked open composite and toggled steam vr in essentials presets. but nothing happens.
downloaded the system wide file. run the program and kept the essentials presets the same and still nothing happens.
i can run the game no problem via steamvr.

That's the starting locations. There's an info box in the beginning that explains it :) you use one of the crystals to teleport into the game
the keyboard doesn't popup when I try to name my character :( I have steamVR open besides the modorganizer.
Switch off open composite during character creation.

Does anyone know how to turn off the feature where gripping at the air makes your weapon appear in your hand? I can't throw or store weapons on my body.
**Edit**: I didn't place the item on my body correctly before using it, so it was going off of the game's quick-draw mechanic, making the weapon randomly spawn in my hand while gripping at nothing.
This is a hard coded feature of skyrim, equipping a weapon makes it being stuck to your hand. So far no mod has changed this
@TheCangar So the weapons are just glued to your hand? Lol, what a shame. I was really hoping it was a setting I could disable. It's making it so I can't throw or stow weapons on my person. Anyways, much respect for the time you put into this modpack.
I don't know what you mean. Of course you can throw them or stow them. That's what weapon throw and Vrik do. Did you try to use them correctly? Perhaps check their mod pages :)
Do anybody know a solution for that: I use the Reverb G2 and even in the vanilla skyrim my hands are always closed to a fist after i pushed any button. its the only game i got this problem und so in the modded version it also doesnt work properly

Does MageVR need to be set up as well? In the video the bag acts like a shield and is always attached to my hand no matter what I do, apparently it can be holstered but I don't know how to do that.
you can holster it with VRIK like a shield :)
How can I add Brazilian-Portuguese mods?
A friend of mine gifted me skyrim VR and I havent done much with it until stumbling across your modpack. I'm SUPER excited to try it out but I seem to be having some issues with not being able to jump? I'm told it's the right thumbstick but from what I can tell it's not working properly. I can't jump into the roof of the inn at the begining. :( Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated. Upon review, it seems like the part of the roof that is supposed to be gone, for you to jump into, is intact instead, preventing me from moving forward. help..haha
i assume by jumping into the roof at the inn in the beginning you mean the tutorial? this is *strongly* not recommended. you must have changed something in the FUS mod setup, too, I assume, since we have realm of lorkhan enabled by default.

Question, I forgot to clean Skyrim before downloading all the Nexus mods through Wabbajack. I went ahead and cleaned it up and reinstalled it. Will that affect anything? Have yet to launch it yet through mod organizer.
The order of it doesn't matter. Just make sure to launch it once through steam after reinstalling. For more support check the discord :)

What key did you bind to access the main menu (system menu)? I am using a Quest 2 and with FUS there is nothing bound using the Cangar choice of controller bindings.
Right stick click. You can see the bindings on the FUS wiki :)

Check if you have the essential files enabled correctly and you always need to start via MO2
Do you recommend disabling the VRPlayRoom? Is there a catch in disabling it or a reason to disable it?
If you disable it your body collision will not move with your movement so I don't recommend disabling it

It is a power, not a spell, so you need the shout button :)

I don't understand why that goofy weapon-throwing mod has become "essential." For some dumb fun, I get it; but an actual playthrough carrying a golf bag full of swords that you throw at people? Why not just use the Thomas the Tank Engine dragons and fart mods while you're at it?
I used it for hours and hours. You can have a return feature which feels very natural, especially if you play a spellsword so you can just say your character can have weapons return by magic. Or you can have it return only shields like captain America but weapons stick to the enemy which means it is a risk throwing the weapon but it does a lot of damage. Maybe before trashing a mod you can check out the settings, or just not assume that your opinions are true for all players.
A lot of my VR character builds are entirely dependent on that mod. Super weird comment my dude.
