Skyrim VR with VRIK, HIGGS and PLANCK is my favorite showcase game to WOW my friends. Most of them played Skyrim before and have very low expectations, then you put the Meta Quest 3 on their head, start Skyrim VR and witness them starring at mountains and throwing cabbages at NPCs. It's a magical experience!
@@UwWe74some lighting mods put a huge load on the system, so for 3080 be careful with running too many of them with too high a resolution. 3090 gets choppy with everything maxed out
@@pixelhand9421 the 50th anniversary edition? haha. I like what you did with VR there. I've actually never bought any of the follow up Skyrims, but if they relaunched VR polished with the love that went into many of the mods then I would consider it.
Another few mods similar to immersive smithing are coming someday soon, one allows you to brew potions manually, by crushing ingredients and filling up potion bottles, mixing up ingredients and all that, and another that allows you to build campfires and cook stuff over them using pots, while also allowing manual skinning/cutting of animals for meat and other resources by using a dagger, it looks too good to even be true, and I can't wait to get my hands on them when they release!
When Skyrim VR first dropped I didn't bother with it, but I've been seeing how much it's progressed more and more recently and I think I'm gonna have to try it again soon.
i have vr for about 3 weeks now, its mindblowing when you are suddenly able to look out of your carwindow in cyberpunk, to see the traffic behind you, or move really close to a face. Immersion is so much better.
Sounds wonderful. My Skyrim VR test ended in a bugged game where I couldn’t make the leap to the roof in the very beginning, so I still have 99% of Skyrim to discover! 👀
Thank you so much for sharing! I bought Skyrim VR a few days ago and was massively disappointed how ugly, simple and clumsy it is. Again it's the modding community which rescues the game. Normal vanilla skyrim is totally ok, I play it most of the time. But Vanilla Skyrim VR is just poor and lazy work of the developers. Like "We built you a car which has two gears and a reverse gear but has no doors, no painting, no lights, no nothing. You have to do it by yourself and we charge you 60 bugs for it." Luckily you can buy it for around 15 bugs on MMOGA, Kinguin etc. I will try out these mods soon! Thanks again!
How about shout with your voice, say all dialogue lines verbally to trigger them, then talk to the NPCs in natural language and have them respond with creative real time responses using an AI brain that has their character information loaded in and then generates the voice lines dynamically in real time? All possible!
That's actually very possible and I've done it! You just need to use a mod called "Dragonborn Speaks Naturally", it has voice activated shouts, and you can pick dialogue options by saying what the dialogue is. Tho from actual uses, I have found voice activated shouts really easy to trigger by accident when I'm saying something else, so I recommend changing it to voice equip, so you select the shouts when you say it but still need to press the button to activate the shouts
I actually thought Skyrim VR even looked great on PSVR tbh but this obviously looks a lot better. Plus the combat mod alone is pretty awesome though I still argue that even vanilla skyrim VR combat is ten times more fun than Skyrim flat screen.
that's what kind of assembly mods need to be released in the official reissue of the game from *Bethesda* _and not all fishing and other useless nonsense_ for PSVR2 and update Steam versions
Before deleting my nexus account over the drama over nexus censoring certain mods. (spiderman pride flag mod/starfield pronoun mod) A favorite of mine for skyrim vr was the voice recognition mods. Either you speak to respond to npc dialogue or use your voice to equip spells/cast dragon shouts.. I may come back someday but it should be noted that to "download mods overnight" you need a nexus mods subscription active on your account.
i use the same mod organizer and got the same mods as you. but how do i throw my sword and back? also, is there autosave mod? or a invincibility mod? thx
please actually mention the mod names in video or description, I am looking for things i want to add, trying to find, or may want to look up. and all the videos are glossing over that important info.
One big thing for the archery that I'm wondering if has been sorted out is, is the aim of the bow based on both hands or just your left hand? I can't stand VR archery where aiming is only done with the hand holding the bow. It needs to take the position of both hands into account.
I see you have fallen for the same trap that I fell into. Truestorms for fallout? Great, download that shit immediately. Truestorms for Skyrim? STOP RIGHT THERE, YOU HAVE COMMITTED CRIMES AGAINST PERFORMANCE! Get rid of truestorms immediately. Its not optimised for skyrim VR, and I can see that in your video too. There are certain types of weather in that mod that literally half your framerate (if not worse), and others make it near impossible to see (depends what installation choices you made). What you want is Onyx VR weathers. It's based on obsidian weather and has no performance hit
Definitely something better than a 1070 which is what I have. Its playable but I have to tweak some settings for a consistent fps. Quest 2s are now cheaper since quest 3 just came out.
Wouldn't it be great if Bethesda released the Skyrim 10 year anniversary edition for PSVR2? I remember trying out Skyrim VR fir the first time, and it felt like stepping into one of my own dreams. I'd love to be able to replay Skyrim VR with mods on PSVR2.
ENB for skyrim VR exists, which is like a major lighting overhaul, it's very performance heavy so it's only recommended for strong pcs, the modlist "fus" featured in the video has options to enable them, and there are a few mods that make full usage of it, you can look up guides on how to install an enb for skyrim vr. But outright raytracing for VR? I don't think so, and it'd probably be too heavy for almost any pc.

I think I’ve spent more time modding Skyrim vr than I’ve spent playing Skyrim vr
I think that applies to Skyrim in general for me, VR or not lol
Same
same. at least, Psychologicaly time is much more trying to mod it than actually playing it

I think enb support for parallax occlusion mapping just came out, if you're using that. I remember that being missing from the vr enb version

I would absolutely want to get voice attack installed and have voice activated shouts if that's possible, I'm sure it can be (or has been) done.

Nice video! This is actually very sad that we still discuss the game which is 12 years old. Where are new true VR gems?
Imagine Skyrim VR but it looks more or less like real life. Or somehow the creator of ENB make a VR port for the mod.

Does FUS use ENB or ReShade? ENB slow my machine too much
Its 2024 and still skyrim is the most immersive rpg ever created. Long live the king
