    The 1700 rule or 1800 rule is only a guess. This is almost as bad as using a sliding scale for MDI. And this doesn't even address the fact that the higher your Bg is the MORE insulin that will be required. But sure it's a starting point. So, well explained for that purpose.

    • @Diabesties1
      @Diabesties1  4 місяці тому +1

      If its NovoRapid / Humalog / Apidra then 2 hrs after meal and for Actrapid or regular insulin 3 hrs after meal and in both the conditions blood sugar level is above 180 mg/dl.

    Are we sure about ISF... because insulin sensitivity is different for everyone and can't be derived by standard numbers...I mean we must put in formula how body is reacting to insulin.. example 50 units of insulin may not bring down sugars to same level in two different ppl..

  • @lexi_2021

    • @Diabesties1
      @Diabesties1  Рік тому +1

      It depends on which insulin you are using. If you are on Human insulin means Actrapid / Insulin R/ Regular Insulin, it is 1500/TDD and if you are on analogue insulin like NovoRapid / Apidra / Humalog / Fiasp, it is 1700/TDD.
