I have watched a LOT of welding videos, and this one video had tips I've never seen explained before. Everyone talks about grinding your tacks, but your little drawing explained it so much clearer. That's only one example.
When I work with newbies, if they are interested, I will barage them with all the little tips and tricks I know; the kind of things I wish someone would have showed me when I first started. It's nice to see you pre-emptively providing him with tips and answers to questions he doesn't even know to ask yet.
I loved the bit about Covid as well!
Got to admit, you are a Amazing Teacher!!!!!!!!!!
It’s the voice to. Pause!
An
Excellent video! My only complaint is you didn’t use a camera welding lens so we can watch the welds go in.
Just talked to one of your graduates and former student of mine. At 19, he will be making as much as the principal at our school who shows little to no interest in our Welding and Automotive high school vocational programs that build the foundation for young people to build off of like this young man. Great video and good tips I will be showing my advanced welding students! Who knows maybe another will come your way and get after it too.
Right on guys! Welding is where it is at. No matter...when I'm running beads and prepping for welds it doesn't even feel like work. Thank you for posting and Happy Welding 😁
One of the best videos regarding 6g welding I have seen so far.
Y’all got some damn good instructors the instructors at my school threw projects and deadlines at us and hung us out to dry my whole class really found out what it meant to fend for urself and had find out what works for each of us
Thanks man, you should come here to WWA instead!
Literally the best explanation for 6g and open root on the web. If your near Wyoming this is the school to go to. Awesome video. Rigwelder and fabricator going on 34 years and cwi. These guys are the best.
Glad it helped!
Best videos out there straight fire 🔥
Thanks alot for the teachings. I am Reubens jayelson from cameroon and i am a welding student doing my 6G now
Great explanation of the tack and grinding it out. Pipefitter local 539 here

Best 6g video on UA-cam 💯🔥👨🏽🏭
What a talented group, I can’t wait to start. It gives me hope that other people are not super experienced but still can do well.
Of course! Every master used to be a beginner!
I’m signing up as well
HOLY SHIT he's that slick that fast??? WOW thank you for this comprehensive video it is helping me already.
Great video let see more of the man in Blue.
Watching somebody build a brick archway would be great but it’s a manual skill that takes time to learn and a trade that needs certificates in the UK
That's a good teacher, wish i had you at my welding college!
Come to WWA!
You guys make it look ez!!!

Welding is both an art & a science and a never-ending learning process-period! Take that lesson from an old boilermaker of 43 years in the trade!
I was thinking the same I needed him in my ear so I will know what to look for
Very good teacher
Awesome job!!! Tyler what is up with the Lincoln in the background?😂
Your videos instructors and willingness to teach is unparalleled I went to welding school and had some great teachers myself but they csnt compare to you guys I'm trying to get into the pipefitters and working on 5g right now 6g isnt so hard 5g is the tough spot
We appreciate this!
fair play that was really good 👍 lad did really well and the teaching was really on par too people should be more open on shairing there knowledge
Thanks so much!
Awesome video. Thanks for sharing.
you bet!
Be nice to have some idea of the heat settings used here and show the penetration and tie ins inside this completed joint. Otherwise great instruction on some methods used for doing the 6G welding process on what (appears to be Schedule 40 pipe).
Awesome video right here! Great tips I definitely learned a few things. Do you guys have any advice on beveling pipe to practice with if you don’t have a beveling machine? I’ve noticed some jobs opening up for pipe welders where I am so I bought some pipe to practice but I’ve just been beveling with a grinder and it definitely takes quite some time to get it really slick.
We have them available at www.weldusa.com
Excellent sir. I watched twice and I notice something to help my welding techniques and improve also on how 6g position to be weld nice and smooth💪💪💪💪❤️❤️❤️
Glad it was helpful!
Let’s see you do the 6GR with a stick root 👍🏴
You are Amazing Instructure 🙏
🙏
What were the amps u were using for the root?
Good job!
Thank you! Cheers!
Good welding
Great one on one 👍🏽
Thank you 🙌
@Western Welding Academy I have an idea. I welcome the feedback, good or bad. I see you do 2 layers (is that the right term?) of welding. Could you weld with 1 rod for a short length then use a second new rod in parallel with the other rod to start the second layer? Then when the first rod is used up, use the second rod to do the 1st layer of weld and a new rod for the second. Then repeat this until both layers are done. Is that possible? I can video chat you to try an explain it with visuals if you want.
Very good instructor
Glad you think so!
i wanted to purchase a carbon fiber pipeliner helmet and it says it dangerous around electriclode is this true?
Can u do tutorial on E7016
Hmmmm. Land needs to be bigger. James would agree.

I miss the days before I had a mig welder. Stick welding is really more skill than mig.

11:05 That has more credibility than anything posted by the CDC 🤣🤣🤣
Ok you could just MIG it.
Also no hearing protection when grinding.
That's really bad
