+PlayerN00b What she means is that the music is beautiful enough to stand on its own, even without the words (although I prefer some of them with the words).
"...with four or five skeleton children at hand playing strange little tunes in their xylophone band." Am I the only one thinking of the skeleton jazz band from "Corpse Bride"?
Now that Halloween's coming back, my childhood love for this movie has returned and now I'm just obsessing over them ALL OVER AGAIN. Never gets old. Then I went to Disneyland to visit Jack there. Everything's just being relived now. Ugh I love this song too much.
The Nightmare Before Christmas will always be my best-favourite film of my childhood! Thanks to Tim Burton, Danny Elfman and Henry Selick for this film!
I can tell: the style, the gothicness, the mood, the soundtrack, stop-motion, Tim Burton and Henry Selick, the characters and everything about the movie.
It's such a great movie I'm a bit sad it never got a sequel (though maybe that's for the best). I just love the characters and magic so much I miss them by the end of the movie.
Aw me to, it's always been special for me since I was little, believe it or not it helped me through some depression I was going through at the start of the year. Thank you Tim Burton 👻
Everytime I listen to this song, I imagine a ballet group performing it, with the choreography and all. If you could see into my thoughts, I assure you, it would be beautiful
Minion Pokémon Lover Spook - ios this is my favorite song in a movie where they mash them all up, because, this one you can just feel the power and energy went into making this one, I play the clarinet, and I'm trying so hard to find sheet music for me and my school to play next year, this one is a little long, but we could edit out some of the non necessary parts to make it 3 minutes maybe
Such perfect study music! (Proving I will be one awesome doctor, haha). Thanks for the upload and sharing the wealth of amazeballs talent of Burton and Elfman with the world!
+Princess Pusheen LOVE LOVE LOVE this show! We're lucky here in Portland, Oregon, every year the Saloon Ensemble does a live stage version of "Nightmare" at the Alberta Rose Theatre for Halloween & Dia de los Muertos. saloonensemble.com/videos/the-nitemare-b4-xmas-2013-2/
You can see how underrated Kidnap the Sandy Claws is. Literally every other song EXCEPT that one is in the end credits music. But don't get me wrong - I love the music to Nightmare.
I have to say may favorite part if this one is the medley that begins at 1:13 the little bit with the flute was excellent and added so much charm to it
I don't know about you all, but the bits from Oggie Boogie's and Sally's Songs could be wonderful to "describe" the personnalities of two great characters from Grant Morrsion's Doom Patrol. Namely Mr. Nobody and Crazy Jane. Of course, such themes' meanings vary depending on which characters you choose to alline with them. Just an idea, you know...
Jack is a skeleton and immune to age because of this, but he IS killable as death to someone like him at his current state would be his bones being ground into dust. Remember, he and everyone in Halloween Town are supernatural, so real world physics don't really apply to them.
Just the soundtrack of the movie can tell the whole story.
+PlayerN00b What she means is that the music is beautiful enough to stand on its own, even without the words (although I prefer some of them with the words).
Brianne Bright agreed. And that alone makes the movie all the more perfect
Yeah. Danny Elfman did a magnificent job!
It's not even Halloween or Christmas, I just like watching the movie and listening to the soundtrack. It's an all year round movie to me.
same here! listening to this in July! 😂🎃🍂🍁💀🦇
@@faron_fae same here but in may
Same lol 😂

@@Hannah-xj5gs well they STILL know Dr. Finklestein ;3
This movie have one of the best soundtrack ever! Danny Elfman is genius!
Agreed 👻
I wasn't that big of a Stop-Motion animation fan until I watched this magnificent film.
I didn't even know what it was until I saw this movie.
@@Hannah-xj5gs Hi here to bring you guys back from the past!
Same
The Nightmare Before Christmas was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects but lost out to the groundbreaking effects of Jurassic Park.
This is like a combination of all the songs from this movie
It is 🎃
Medley
I get a shiver of goosebumps at the very first notes, I don't understand why but its gorgeous!
music can make that happen...its your endorphins being activated....like when a person does drugs...
Its the Physco theme.
i just listened to the playlist and i actually forgot that i wasn't watching the movie.
A lot like watching anime and forgetting to turn subtitles on
This track encapsulates Danny Elfman how he mixes quirk, creepiness and infinite beauty
Happy Halloween!!! As the mayor said, only 365 days until the next one!
Warewolf: 364!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today. :)
this soundtrack is truly brilliant and the voice of Jack...wow...
I know his voice is amazing

I want to thank this movie and Tim Burton and the whole team behind it for awakening my interest in drawing, animation, and telling a story.

Anyone just in love with Nightmare Before Christmas, but you can't tell why you're so in love with it?
I can tell: the style, the gothicness, the mood, the soundtrack, stop-motion, Tim Burton and Henry Selick, the characters and everything about the movie.

Me too, if they did make a sequel I don't think it would be able to compare to this classic but you never know. I just really want to see more too
Yeah, a sequel would turn out like the Hunchback of of Notre Dame2
Hipstershy It did get a sequel but it was in a video game form.
Well technically we did get a sequel to this in the form of a video game
And in comic book form@@Sorcerer-SMC
It's the middle of summer, and listening to this music reminds of that crisp icy smell of autumn frosty leaves and light snow fall.
My favorite movie of all time. It holds a dear place in my heart. I've loved it for as long as I can remember.
Yes! Same!
It's something profound and beautiful.
I was also thinking about a ballet group dancing to this song :3
so make it happen and show us!
Shachar Har-Shuv Huh?
get a group of dancers, make the choreography, rehearse, and put on a show
Shachar Har-Shuv If only it were that easy!
2:34 appreciate how this part has more of an emphasis on the instruments in this version
I love when it gets to 1:12
probably 'cause my favorite song out of the whole soundtrack is 'This Is Halloween.' XDD
I love how the string instruments almost sound cutting, instead of their purer sound
I so love that dark ending
I LOVE THIS MOVIE
Anyway 2:50-3:07 is truly Danny's best piece of music, and for that piece in the credits I say well done Danny Elfman.
IDK why but I just love this movie a lot for some reason -_-
This reminds me like if The Nightmare Before Christmas had a Broadway show...This would be it's overture...
Yes! If it did have a Broadway show I'd be so happy
It does have an overture you know...
Or it’s curtain call song!
I will always love this movie. Always
Nice profile pic. Another Tim Burton movie.
Which movie? TNBC or ESH?
ESH
ok.
NBC will always be my best-favourite film of my childhood.
probably my favorite song because I love all the songs and its so hard for me to choose! anyone agree?
Minion Pokémon Lover Spook - ios this is my favorite song in a movie where they mash them all up, because, this one you can just feel the power and energy went into making this one, I play the clarinet, and I'm trying so hard to find sheet music for me and my school to play next year, this one is a little long, but we could edit out some of the non necessary parts to make it 3 minutes maybe
Dunno, I LOVE overture as well
Las obras de Tim Burton no estárian completas sin la música de Danny Elfman.
i love this it gives me a lot of nostalgia
Such perfect study music! (Proving I will be one awesome doctor, haha). Thanks for the upload and sharing the wealth of amazeballs talent of Burton and Elfman with the world!
2:50 I would kill for an instrumental version of the full Oogie Boogie's Song like that.

same bro!
4:49 “Guess again, *BONE BAG!“*
I love this movie so damn much.
Fun fact: if you put up the nightmare before Christmas sky in Disney infinity, this song would play
i did that and it sounded great
I'll often remember the days of replaying this over and over to drive my parents insane... they loved it too.
This movie is just too good it’s amazing in every way
I would like to go on record and say that this film is my favorite film of all time. It's brilliant. Simply brilliant.
danny elfman i love you!!!
So elegant and beautiful, just, amazing
my fav movie. know it word for word
Elfman is my all time favorite composer, and Tim is my all time favorite director!!
It's almost that time again...
This, for some reason, gives me memories of Minecraft WiiU Edition.

I like how the contrabassoon is just playing fortissimo for the entire piece lol
I was kinda mad when I saw this cuz they skipped Jacks obsession, that's my favorite song in this movie :(
This movie should be on broadway!!!!
My favorite movie :)
Wow I love this track thank you so much for uploading it!
You’re welcome
Our high school marching band is playing the theme of nightmare before Christmas for our field show. Love this music so much
the music tim burton puts on his movies are jus flawless.

I love this movie when I was a kid!!! :D
I really love this movie when I was 5 years old and that was my first time watching this movie
Tim Burton, best director of all time.
Are you saying this movie ducks then because he didn't direct it. The Nightmare Before Christmas fans are shamed.
Yup, but despite that, it's still a better love story than Twilight.
I love this movie! BEST MOVIE EVER!!!
I KNOW RIGHT, I'd do anything to get more of it.

2019 anyone???😂
Descending end years creeps out of me it just did today
"We only have 89 days left to next Halloween!!"

1:13 BOYS AND GIRLS OF EVERY AGE
and merry christmas.
I do this song for my ballet dance😂
SAME HERE
I wish I could see both of your routines. They'd be awesome since its to that great song.
Basically Jack gets too nice hearted and tries to help Santa Clause, ending with him refueling his eternal will to cause fear and suffering.
I used to love this movie!!!!!!!!! :D
man I wish this version of the oogie boogie song had a full version TAT
Used to? Have your tastes changed? It's still a wonderful movie!
Slenderman reminds me of Jack
Both are monsters
Both appear in woods
Both are skinny (very skinny)
Both dress alike
But Jack was better and made first. Originals always win!
I wondered if Jack was a demon...but in his solo song he reveals he is dead...unless he is just lying...
Jack is a skeleton and immune to age because of this, but he IS killable as death to someone like him at his current state would be his bones being ground into dust. Remember, he and everyone in Halloween Town are supernatural, so real world physics don't really apply to them.
It would be awesome if you posted a download link for this!!
When Danny Elfman made memorable soundtracks, maybe he needs the right movie to do something cool again
