Although I have seen all your videos, I had forgotten how nice the awesome base/mount that you designed and made is that holds the generator to the cleat; very nice!.... 30+ years ago I used a portable generator on one of our boats and mounted it on the swim platform. Even on the swim-platform it was very loud and vibrated in the forward cabin. Your generator is super quiet in comparison!

Nice upgrade! Three things - get a magnetic dip stick, recommemd oil with high zinc (use Brad Penn myself), lastly run 2hrs then 10hrs and change oil each time. During break in you will get more metal shavings and best to get it out quickly. Congrats!
Yup, inside a sound proof casing on a platform outside the transom. Lid level with transom. I put a small blower and a/c vent in roof corner facing back. So I could close when running in rain. Drain in bottom i sloped pretty hard to corner then went back and forth twice length of box to ensure no splash in while backing down. Also put rubber matting for vibration. Or dude you won’t believe what a difference it’ll make if you braze a tip on that muffler so you can put an extension on it an take it over your transom an turn it down past it. You could do it. You have space. You will have to do some uncomfortable in tight spots. But is really doable.
very usefull equipment, nice for you
Thanks buddy👍🏝
More power for more toys!
yes making this crooked pilothouse like a tiny home😁
I just bought one for my cruiser based on your video .
We have a gen cabinet in the engine room .
How quiet it already is combined with the cabinet , I'm anxious to see if we can even hear it at all .
As long as you can take the exhaust out of these compartment you should be fine in a nice to be ventilated
...good one, stay safe,skipper..
Thanks Bob and you were first commenting captain👍👍
@@OutOnTheReef ....i'm ready for fishing and the Bahamas..lol..
At least you did not drop it this time like the old one lol
Lol yes that was a expensive drop😉😁
Awesome.
How do you keep your floors so clean? What’s your method to the madness?
Lol what i do is i use some Lisol mold and Mildew foamer with bleach you can get it at your grocery store or at Walmart or Target is awesome it really works a lot and if you want to dilute it a little bit you can do it too I don't use it on the gel coat only use it on the hard surface of the floors I hope it helps captain
You could probably run a 1” exhaust hose below the waterline and use a small electric pump to inject water into the line and you wouldn’t hear it at all
Very true cap. That is a great method 👍⚓️🏝
Nice generator. I have a Honda that is the same size I think. Maybe 2200 watts ? Never had a problem. But I do like all the features that yours has.. Fuel level, load, and time remaining are nice to know !
Let us know your opinion on how accurate the readings are once you have a little time with it
sure will John and yes those features are nice to have especially fuel and load .
thanks for watching cap.
How is the Cafe Viante Coffee Machine? Does it brew good coffee?
yes Hector i been using it for a long time and it taste great cap. thanks for watching

Hello Captain. Thank you for your video. Do you know what spark plug socket I need to change my spark plug on the same generator you have? I cannot find a socket that will fit to change the spark plug.
Thank you for your help.
My recommendation is look at Amazon On the search the generator name and spark plug socket And eBay give you recommendatious Right now At sea cap
@@OutOnTheReef no problem captain. Hope you are well and looking forward to a great video as always. Feliz navidad!!
@@florida4funshinechannel998 thanks cap
You should have purchased a Yamaha generator so that it matches your boat's engine:)
Lol you are right but the price os not right 😁👍
Heya Cap.. So I have still not pulled the trigger on a generator mainly because the Westinghouse 2500 is $650 now. If I am only looking to charge my 3 AGM, and 1 36v Lithium battery, and maybe some other small items will the 2200 workin? I have CC with no cobin so AC isn't a factor.
hello cap and yes this one amzn.to/44i5Cdr will work great and the price is lower since you don't need all that power and the fuel tank on this one is bigger , hope this helps cap👍⚓
what was that white cord you plugged in? is that going to your boat 30amp outlet?
yes John is is connected to the boat power grid
Great job Capt! Any information to head out to the Bahamas?
Thanks Marco
And the Bahamas still the same rules ,you need a Covid19 test no later the 5 days ,we are still waiting for that to change cap👍😷
Hi with your AC on how long will the gen last on a full tank of gas roughly
From 6 to 8 hours captain
Man awesome upgrade! Wish I could get that generator where I am at here in Japan. What is the AC blower? Something you added? Love the videos! Keep up the great work and thank you!
wow japan that's far but you don't have Amazon delivery there?
and yes is a 350 cfm blower is great ,i placed the link in the description below if you want to check it out cap.
and greetings from USA
@@OutOnTheReef Yeah man I have been living in Japan for about 4.5 years. Unfortunately I cant get a genset like that here from Amazon. My generator is similar...1800 watts and cost 1000 bucks! I have a really nice cabin cruiser that is almost 40ft. and your channel has given me so many great ideas. Thanks again for all your videos.
@@RR-or5ip that os awesome Ray
Nothing like making your boat feel like home, we i travel to the Bahamas for days i feel like im at home on the waters, and sorry to hear that I'm Amazon dont deliver to Japan.
Navigate safe my friend👍✌🏝☕
@@OutOnTheReef Thanks and blue skies and fair winds my friend!
Nice upgrade, My only concern that I see is the inlet plugs face forward ,as the old generator has them on the inside away from and waves....What's the plan for taking care of that.....
great question i already thought of that and you will love what a simple fix cap, in a future video i will show it👍
nice !!
Thanks! Pedro👍⚓
Hi Capt. How are you liking your generator after 2 years? Do you have any updates or pos and cons? I'm looking to buy the same model and would like your opinion.
Hello captain and the generators working fine. The only thing is since I got wet a lot and most of my trips. The electronic display is not working but there's nothing wrong with the system of the generator everything's working perfect
How has this been long term ? I know you use it a lot, how many hours are on it at this time and have you had any issues with it ? Thanks
I love it cap now i have about 250 hrs but the only think is the digital panel stopped working but everything is running great, please if you like to support my channel wen you decide to purchased your in amazon please use my link if you remember and amazon will give my channel a commission cap, and that helps to keep making reviews like this, thanks in advance cap.👨✈️👍👍⚓
Hey Cap, in your experience what is the best month weather wise to make the trip to Bimini?
Thank you Captain but I go all year round I just wait for the best weather but I hurt some people like to go in the summertime but there's some storm sometimes
Nice "Up grade" 😎👍⚓
Thanks! 👍 Captain Rick
Hey Capt Crooked nice nice gen set now if you fill it up you’ll have a level Crooked pilot house lol 😂 JT 🇺🇸🇺🇸🐠🎣🐟🛥🌴⛱😊😊🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Yes this makes it level👍👍👍😁
Are you pulling more than 15 amps through your plug at the max?
Perfect is running great👍
New to your channel so you’ve probably had this question before. Any concerns about salt spray causing corrosion to the generator?
I try not to navigate in rough weather so there's no salt spray on the on the generator. The last generator was there for 3 years with no problems and no deterioration due to saltwater and thank you for the great question cap.
What will you do Captain once you've improved everything 😀. Greetings grom Poland 👍
LOL captain maybe move into a yacht, hello from USA

do you ever have an issue on anchor in waves with the oil sensor cutting off?
great question but i have not had a issue with that cap. have you had a problem with that cap.?
@@OutOnTheReef so not the cap but inside there is low oil sensor on alot of these little generators. Im looking to buy one for the same purpose as you. My question is have you run this in waves?
Also i like your style. Nice clean boat, organized and everything. Well done my man.
@@johnmcgrath4111 I run mine and 3 to 5 foot waves and never had an issue but it has a lot to do with what's the size of your boat captain

So Capt. Why are selecting the Westinghouse brand versus the other many out there?
i love they way they perform and the price is right compared to honda and yamaha brands
They cost 1/2 the price of Honda and they do a great job.👍
@@hemipower63 agreed cap👍👍

Skipper. Saw this but i missed how you wired inside pilot house i guess
I foun this otger video that talks obout that ua-cam.com/video/juEhuWtUBNA/v-deo.html
Here comes an electric stove.
LOL and yes we can make it happen😉👍👍
What are you doing with old generator
Spare for now cap
Why do you keep your generator way up there on the gunnel and not down on the floor?
carbon monoxide is a silent killer is very dangerous so the farthest is placed the better cap.
I love blue but its a shame they dont make them in white. They should make a MARINE USE ONE,
It would go a lot better with boats. Good deal on the up grade. Go grazy and paint it white 🤪🤪🤪🤣🤣🤣😜😜😜😜😜👌👌👌
That is a great idea, what pain do you recommend that will really stick to the plastic?😁😁😁
We think alike
@@OutOnTheReef buufff this needs to be researched well. Something that will stick to plastic, will take sun, salt, sea weather in general. 🤔🤔🤔🤔. That would be it, Paint it with what, so it wont chip or fade. Its a shame they dont make them white. White things always repell heat better when exposed to sun. I think hidroimpresion would be a way to go, since its dipped and not sprayed on. Might stick better to plastic.
@@OutOnTheReef there are good paints for plastic, I guess it needs a good clear coat and the end to protect it maybe. ua-cam.com/video/umUuepIoknw/v-deo.html
@@2fast4you25 very good idea I will look and make some research see if I find something good payment within the future captain and yes I agree white repels heat a lot better👍thanks
