You should backup (and especially clone/image) your main Windows hard drive before doing this procedure in case something happens during the upgrade process. I am going to make a video about cloning/imaging in the future that covers this, but if you need help in the meantime, please reach out to me via my website, beyourownnerd.com and I will be more than glad to help you through the process. NOTE: On 12-5-24, the fido.ps1 script that comes with FlyBy11 version 0.16 will now get a Gateway error when downloading the Windows 11 ISO from Microsoft. To fix this, please watch this video from me: ua-cam.com/video/eXKgU0o4JSg/v-deo.html
@@styx14045 Please verify your language selection. If you are English (United States) currently, then you must select that instead of English (international). If you don't select the correct language, the first option will be grayed out and it will not let you keep your current apps, settings, and documents. Please see the 4:53 time mark in my video here: ua-cam.com/video/eXKgU0o4JSg/v-deo.html
Great simple video. It works every time. I have used this method to install on about 3 dozen units in the past 12 days. Thank you for the way you explained the process. Best one on UA-cam. I have checked them all out.
I just upgrading using your method. Went seamlessly and I'm up and running 11. Wow, nothing has ever gone this easy. thank you. Only took about an hour with all the updating.
great presentation - clear and concise, thanks so much. I have 4 old PC's here for the kids that I'll have a crack at - the cost of buying new hardware is prohibitive to the vast majority of Windows users, not to mention the painful and timewasting muck around of going out and buying a new PC, dealing with config, backups, re-installing etc. and THEN having to get rid of the old machine. Some techheads probably drool at the thought of spending a weekend doing such an activity, but most people dread it 😃
I was looking at spending $700 - $800 on a brand build because my 14 yo CPU didn't meet the Windows 11 requirements. Thanks to you, I'm now typing this reply from my freshly-updated Windows 11 PC running a Core i7 3770K 😀 The only minor issue I ran into (like a few others have noted) was that I originally selected English (International) by mistake. This didn't allow me to keep all my files/apps/settings. I just deleted the iso file and ran the program again, this time making sure to select English (United States) as the language. FYI, it's the next selection UP from the default. Otherwise, everything worked like a charm. Thank you so much for this clear and concise video! BTW, if anyone is wondering if their old CPU has POPCNT, just run CPU-Z and look under 'Instructions.' If you see 'SSE4.2' you're good (must be dot 2. dot 1 is too old).
thanx for this video, i watched several videos but finally solved this one. u have explained step to step which helped me to upgrade my window 10 to 11 version, i am commenting first ever on any you tube video. thanks
Thank you so much!!! This and the companion video showed me exactly what I needed to know and how to go about it. I have a slightly older computer with an unsupported chip. Everything went perfectly according to plan and I felt completely prepared for what needed to happen. I am now successfully updated to Windows 11 Pro!! Thank you for such a clear cut and helpful instruction. You rock! :)
Despite concerns about my old hardware and potential threats, I'm excited to install Windows 11 from 10! With this helpful video, I will successfully install Windows 11. Thank you!
You're welcome. Please make sure you image your system/drive first with backup imaging software. I will have a video on how to do this coming out next week.
Did on upgrade and it’s working great. Now going to do a full new install on another pc. Thank you so much. You would think at 80 years old I should just go and read books or play cards. Not on your life. Thanks again.
I did two older computers using this method. On both it installed Windows 11 Pro even though both computers had Windows 10 Home. Don't know why, but it didn't give me the option to save my programs, so I had to reinstall them, but that was no big deal. Took me about half an hour to install the 10 or 15 programs I use. Both computers seem to be working fine and I'm getting Windows 11 updates. I think the Windows 11 requirements are just a scam to get people to buy a new computer.
Thanks for the comment about my video. Much appreciated. 🙂 Yes, Windows 11 can only be installed on top of Windows 10 (you can't upgrade to it directly from Windows 7). You could also install Windows 11 from scratch as a new install, but you wouldn't have the apps, settings, or files you currently have installed. Your files could always be backed up ahead of time and restored manually, but your software would need to also be re-installed manually, too.
Mine still said that my "processor is not supported" and I had to IGNORE it and just continue on. It said it was going to "clean up the install" but it went on with everything you mentioned. A little bit of a scare there. Thanks for this great workaround.
Thanks for this. It was informative and easy to follow, playing it on my phone while installing on my PC. My only caveat would be that the final stage of installation took well over two hours. That could be down to my machine which at approximately four years old is practically an antique in computer terms! However I would advise anyone to allow plenty of time. Luckily I chose a wet UK afternoon so it wasn't a real problem.
It should always be noted that of ALL unsupported processors, as long as you have SSE4.2 support you will be able to upgrade to Windows 11 24H2. If you don't have SSE4.2 instructions on your processor, you won't be able to upgrade Windows, because SSE4.2 is now included in the Windows coding. After the first restart of the computer, you will get the blue screen of death... And there is no going back...I speak from first hand experience. I have an Asus Rampage Extreme with a 9550 at 4.1GHz processor and 16GB of RAM, and Windows 10 works flawlessly. But the max I can install is 23H2.
I ran CPUID on my old Win10 (formerly Win7) machine and it shows both SSE4.1 and SSE4.2 in the instructions. I read another comment here that said .1 means the machine is too old. Is that true in my case, or since it also lists .2, I’ll be able to upgrade?
So if I do this would I still receive feature updates (& so future security updates too) or will I have to do this procedure everytime a version with new features comes out so that I keep receiving security updates?
No, you shouldn’t need to do this again during your time using Windows 11. You should continue receiving both security and feature updates unless Microsoft decides to make a change. While I mention this at the end of the video, I don’t anticipate them doing so, as it would leave hundreds of thousands of Windows 11 users-who upgraded using bypass methods on older hardware-vulnerable to hackers and online threats.
Windows 11 is not currently more secure than Windows 10 because 10 still gets the same security updates as 11. Windows 11 is faster when it comes to gaming. Windows 11 is faster with 12th gen and newer Intel processors (and newer AMD processors) because it utilizes the P-cores and E-Cores of your processor. Google “Thread Director”. 😎
He's not calling Windows 11 an upgrade. The video demonstrates how to upgrade to a newer version of Windows FROM Windows 10 (booted), and want to keep your files, but lack TPM.
Instead of using some sketchy software you could just do some simple registry edits. I upgraded to Win 11 as soon as I could. Never looked back. And with 24H2 it's faster than ever. Although with 24h2 there's some compatability issues with older hardware (4 gen Intel positively has some issues for some machines but 6th and 7th gen I've had no issues with). For some reason it seems enabling virtualization in bios makes it better should you encounter some issues.
@@BeYourOwnNerdcould you possibly recommend or make a video on upgrading in this registry based methodology? I’m not a techi nerd but I’m not exactly a layman. Thank you
Did not work on my 32bit PC. when i downloaded the flyby11 icon and tried to run the program i get this message on my screen. " This app can't run on your PC. Find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher."
Thanks for this. Your instructions and explanations are clear and concise. I did the same server method upgrade using a DOS command. I have an old Gen 1 Lenovo Core i5 laptop and Windows 11 runs just as good as Windows 10 did.
When Microsoft blocks you during this process, it's probably not a good sign... occurs at the time you are selecting the language option from the drop down. I alternately used the media creation tool and flashed to a USB stick to install 24H2 with no issues.
The issue is that the Fido script queries the Microsoft download server each time you select an option. However, Microsoft's servers don't like rapid, repeated queries, which can lead to some users encountering a temporary block popup message.

Hello, and thanks for your comment. Are you running Windows 10 or Windows 7? Windows 7 will give you the option of "Files Only" if you are directly trying to go from Windows 7 to Windows 11. Please let me know what version of Windows you are running so I can help you. 🙂
@@LawrenceWolofsky Since this is happening, the Windows upgrade procedure/process is unhappy about something. 1. Are your "Program Files" and "Program Files (x86)" directories on your C:\ drive? 2. Are you selecting the correct language in the "Fido Feature Downloader" window (6:20 minute mark in the video). The language in this window must match the default language of your current version of Windows. If you have the "English" edition of Windows currently installed, make sure to pick that from the dropdown in the window because the "Fido Feature Downloader" defaults to English International. 3. Do you have any specialized software or hardware drivers installed that you think Windows may not like during the upgrade to Windows 11 procedure? 4. Is your Windows folder located at "C:\Windows"? 5. Do you have enough available hard drive space on your C: partition? 6. To check for disk or file inconsistencies, Please run a "chkdsk /f" and "sfc /scannow" from a command prompt. After both commands run, did it find and correct any errors? 7. What antivirus software do you have installed?
@@BeYourOwnNerd Thank you! It was the language that was the problem in my case. I had English US but the script download didn't give me the option of US--only international. When I downloaded the US iso instead using a different method, it all worked seamlessly after that.
You need UEFI Firmware on a really old computer . You cannot just change into UEFI mode on a computer without UEFI Hardware . However UEFI Hardware CAN Run in BIOS Mode . Apparently the latest trend is UEFI only motherboards which cannot be switched into legacy mode , please correct me if I'm wrong .
Yes, there is an checkbox option in FlyBy11 at the bottom of the application window that says, "I want to create Windows 11 installation media". Selecting that option will let you burn the ISO to another disk or flash drive for other systems. I didn't cover it in this video because I didn't want to over complicate it, but the option is there and it works great.
Thank you!! Excellent tutorial!! Can I use this process to upgrade Win 11 21H2 to 24H2 on a PC that used a prior Windows hardware check bypass method but will not receive updates past 21H2?
@@BeYourOwnNerd Disregard. I don't know why I was not getting feature updates. I just took a chance and downloaded the 24H2 ISO used the latest RUFUS and then did an in-place update. I'm on 24H2 now and all seems good. Thanks!
Hi, thanks for this awesome explanation. I've followed all the instruccions and when i need to chose what to keep, in my laptop the "keep files, settings, and apps" isn't available the option is greyed out. Any ideas on how to make it avalilable, so that i can keep what i hav in my laptop, the other options are really undesired. thanks
You're welcome. Thanks for the nice comment. :-) If that option is unavailable, you must ensure the language selection matches your default Windows language. If your Windows is set to English, change the default in the ISO downloader from "English (international)" to "English," and that should allow you to keep your current files, settings, and apps.
Hi. This seems really helpful and easy, however I am getting an error after selecting the version/release/edition that states "Error: A parameter cannot be found that matches parameter name 'UseBasicParsing'. I have no idea what I am doing 😭 if you have covered this error somewhere could you please link it here 🙏 thank you so much.

Please verify your language. If you are English, change it from English International to English United States. That will let you keep your files. The Windows Server name showing during the upgrade process is normal. It will still install Windows 11, not Windows Server.
@@66remco Microsoft has temporarily banned your IP address/session from downloading the Windows 11 ISO file. Please wait 6+ hours, and the ban should be removed, and you should be able to successfully complete the download. Very nice video instructing on updating from Window’s 10 to 11 on unsupported Hardware!!! I would say that many of these types of video’s don’t explain about needing UEFI for the Bio’s and the partition needs to be GPT and not MBR on the boot drive, from my understanding. Looking at updating a couple computers 1) Laptop which passes everything for security and TPM, however the processor i7 is unsupported, 2) my very old i7 2600K which does not pass any of the ‘new’ requirements and has MBR as the partition and not GPT, thus will need to convert the partition with various software (looking at Aomei Partition Assistant) which can achieve this step or convert back if it should fail to boot. Again nice presentation of the software you used and updating to Windows 11. The software you used seems pretty easy to use to accomplish the end goal!
@@edwardmacnab354 There are video’s on UA-cam that do show using a DOS window for entering commands for the partition conversion. The software does make it just easier for the conversion and mis-entering the wrong command. However, as I said it is my understanding that to update to Windows 11, the partition on the System drive needs to be GPT not MBR and the UEFI BIOS verse ‘Legacy’ mode and just pointing out some other requirements when moving to Windows 11 which could be needed for the process. Should this not be the case, I would appreciate the sharing of knowledge for learning. Thanks everyone! Happy Holidays!
@@edwardmacnab354 yes from my understanding. My old computer show Legacy and EFI, which my understanding thus far is the same as UEFI just older terminology. Unless you know something different. So if I covert from MBR to GPT, reboot then switch to EFI BIOS, windows 10 should boot. However that is part of the research to avoid a problem. If anyone knows different, I appreciate your input!
Did this years ago on a Dell 970 i7 2600 and it has always run like a champ. I did strip the install of most all the garbage Microsoft had in the install and at that same time stripped out all the phone home crap they also had on it. Been a happy camper ever since!

Is 24H2 stable? 24H2 was just released and is rumored to be very, very buggy and unstable. 🤔I have a Windows 10 (Education version - desktop) I would like to upgrade to 11. I also have a laptop, Windows 11, version 23H2 and it says to "Get the newer version of Windows to stay up to date" and nothing happens when I hit the 'Check for updates' link.
24H2 does not have some issues, especially when it comes to gaming: www.techradar.com/computing/windows/gamers-beware-windows-11-24h2-update-could-wreck-your-colors-and-crash-your-games so if you are a gamer, you might want to hold off until Microsoft fixes this. Great video. Microsloth seems to think that everyone has lots of money and will on their say rush out and buy a new PV. Imagine if Ford said we're bring out a new gasoline which will only run on new cars so everyone will have to update their car by the end of 2025 or they won't be able to drive anywhere. The regulators would soon step in.
Well! A computer doesn't stop working just because the support contract ends. I'm running "Windows 7 Ultra x64" which I installed in 2009 and it's still running fine. The main problem I have with 7 is that I can no longer upgrade the browsers to the latest version, which is required for security reasons for some services on the Internet. But the comparison with a new car isn't that far-fetched. When you buy a new car, service, warranties and repairs for 3-5 years are included. After that, you are not guaranteed assistance and must be responsible for the car's safety and repairs yourself. And many change their car after 3 years and others like me drive a car as old as my computer.

If I understood correctly this just upgrades windows 10 to windows 11 without touching or removing anything on your current system. All programs that has been installed will remain the same? Coz I'm trying to upgrade an old system with a 4790 and that system don't have TPM.
Yes, it should work, and your programs will remain the same (along with your files) as long as you select the "Keep files, settings, apps" option. But you need to make an image backup of your system first in case you have any issues. I have a video coming out on this either tonight or tomorrow. What CPU processor are you using in your old system?
I tried to follow this method but my flyby11 zip file has different files than the one in your video and I get a there is no upgraider file error. Any suggestions? I am using a legitimate win 10 install at present.
Since the release of my video, the developer removed the SysFresh file, which will not affect you. If you are getting an upgraider file error, you may have forgotten to extract the upgraider folder into the same directory as the FlyBy11.exe and the other two files in the root of the archive. I would suggest starting over, opening the archive, and extracting everything in the archive to your desktop or a folder in the root of your C: drive.

Error 715-123130 is caused by not being able to get a successful connection to Microsoft's download servers. Please try it again. Usually when this error occurs, it is because the Microsoft download servers are either down, or performing maintenance and they are offline. The solution is usually to wait a couple of hours and then try again.
@@Dan11.11 Yes, the Fido.ps1 script that comes with FlyBy11 has a brand new issue because Microsoft changed their Windows 11 download server URL location. The latest version of Fido.ps1 directly from that developer fixes this issue, and can be downloaded from github.com/pbatard/Fido/releases I will make an updated video about this on November 7th. If you want to go ahead and do it yourself, you will need to download fido.ps1.lzma from that link, open it with 7-Zip, and extract the "fido.ps1" file into the upgraider folder that you extracted initially from the FlyBy11 archive. Windows will prompt you to override the original fido.ps1 file that already exists in the "upgraider" folder. You want to tell it that yes, you want to overwrite it. hi again can i do a fresh reinstall of windows 11 in the reset PC settings without going through the method in the video again..my windows doesnt say pro anymore it says enterprise ...i want to purchase the pro key but im not sure if it will work so i wanted to reinstall from my pc to get it back to pro.
Yes. To change from Enterprise to Pro, you must reinstall Windows 11 (you can't use the built-in reset option to change editions). But remember, you will lose all your current files, settings, and apps, so back them up first. And you will need to reinstall your apps (and copy your files back manually). The FlyBy11 main window has an option to “create Windows 11 installation media”. You will need to toggle that option and then use Rufus or something similar to put the ISO file it gives you onto a USB thumb drive. Then, you would have to boot off that thumb drive to do a fresh reinstall.

Hi, this seemed pretty straight forward but I've run into a couple of issues, one I solved and I'll mention in case someone else has the problem and one I haven't solved. The first is that I kept getting an error after clicking start, it wasn't obvious because the error only showed in the log window but the result was that Fido never opened, I finally realized it was having trouble because by dragging the flyby11 files on my desktop the path includes my user name which had a space in it (c:/users/firstname lastname) when I moved the files to another location on my C: drive Fido was able to run. The second problem is now I am getting an error ("The remote server returned an error : (404) Not Found." when I click the continue button on Fido after selecting the Edition. Any ideas why? Thanks
Hello. Yeah, the Flyby11 script does not like Windows user names with a space in it. I didn't notice that issue when I made the video because my username is only one word. Do you know the exact model of your processor(s)? You can get that information from the device manager. If you are currently in Windows 10, press ALT and X on your keyboard, then select Device Manager with your mouse. Once the Device Manager window opens, go to the “Processors”section and left click with your mouse.
@@Qll390 Sorry, that processor is too old. Microsoft recently changed the requirements for Windows 11 build 24H2, which now requires a processor with the SSE4.2 extension set-any processor 2018 or newer. The previous builds of Windows 11 would have worked on your processor if it hadn't been for this new change. Microsoft changed it at the kernel level, so if you try to run it on a processor without SSE4.2, it won't boot.

Thank you for this information. I could not get it to work. After letting my computer work for 6 hours, it was only 10 0/0 into the install. I am not computer literate or patient enough. Thanks anyway.
Sorry about that. When you say it was only 10 0/0 into the install, do you mean the part where it downloads the ISO file from Microsoft via your browser, or are you referring to the part where it actually upgrades your Windows and shows you the progress?
Since this is happening, the Windows upgrade procedure/process is unhappy about something.

@bolindh5308 I'm sorry it didn't work. Please try and restore your system to Windows 10. To do that: 1. Enter Recovery Mode: • Restart your computer and interrupt the boot process (press and hold the power button) 3 times. On the fourth attempt, it should boot into Advanced Startup Options. • Alternatively, try pressing F8 or Shift+F8 during startup. 2. Select Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Go Back to the Previous Version of Windows. • Follow the prompts to roll back to Windows 10. If the above method does not work, please let me know how so I can help you with the USB restore method. However, you will need access to another system with internet access and a USB thumb drive to create the bootable USB, so please try the above method first.
Thank you for your upload. Unfortunately, when I select Native and Method 1 and hit start I get an error message and the process stops before I get to the next part.I noticed that when you downloaded the Flybyscript and copied to your desktop there were four files. The latest FlyBy11 version only has three files now, so you are OK. Can you go right from Win7 to 11. We have an older laptop which has plenty if grunt but I didn’t upgrade to 10 when I had the chance (last time I went to an IT guy at work, who advised not to update).
Unfortunately, no. You would have to temporarily upgrade to Windows 10 first and then use the method in my video to go from Windows 10 to 11. Before attempting any of this, please make a backup image of your hard drive. 😎
I don't understand how I could upgrade from 21H2 to 23H2 but can't upgrade from 23H2 to 24H2. When trying to install 24H2, I have tried every method on the internet and getting error, "POPCNT/SSE4.2" or "0xC1900101-0x20017 the installation failed in the safe_os phase with an error during boot operation." I have tried with rufus, "MBR and GPT ," and also from CMD with the same results. I have tried disabling my network adapters before installation, updating my drivers and still the same results.
Microsoft recently changed the requirements for 24H2. Per Microsoft’s new requirements, you need a processor that supports SSE4.2. They changed their code at the Kernel level, so Windows 11 won’t even run on a processor that doesn't support SSE4.2. What processor do you have?
@@BeYourOwnNerd Thank you for responding, I just found out my Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 @ 3.16GHz only supports POPCNT SSE4.1, not SSE4.2. If you are running Windows 7 or Windows 8.x, you must upgrade to Windows 10 first. If your Windows 10 still shows licensed/activated after upgrading (which it should because it will transfer over your license from Windows 7/8 when upgrading), your Windows 11 will be licensed/activated.
Yeah. I'm already running 3 Linux machines and dual booting my 4th to Linux. Wine just doesn't work well enough for SolidWorks, Word, and Zwift when I last tried it (which, admittedly, was half a decade ago). Otherwise, I would be the one leaving the comment about switching to Linux.
I got thru the process of selecting version, release and edition and then get error message: "The remote server returned an error: (502) Bad Gateway." Anyone else seen this? Any ideas?

great presentation - clear and concise, thanks so much. The only minor issue I ran into (like a few others have noted) was that I originally selected English (International) by mistake.

Thanks. No desire at all to replace my 10 year old Acer computer, it works fine.
I agree. 😎
Just a little tip, 24H2 will have DirectX errors when trying to play Black Ops 6. Would be nice to have a 23H2 version to find.
Do you have to install windows 11 on top of windows 10 or can you do the same from say windows 7? Great video by the way.

However I would advise anyone to allow plenty of time. i tried once to upgrade my 1 year old windows 10 pc to 11. it wouldnt let me saying the windows 10 was outdated dispite having the latest updates
How can you check to see if you have SSE4.2?
You can use CPU-Z. It’s a free utility that provides all the information about your processor.
www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
I ran CPUID on my old Win10 (formerly Win7) machine and it shows both SSE4.1 and SSE4.2 in the instructions. I read another comment here that said .1 means the machine is too old. Is that true in my case, or since it also lists .2, I’ll be able to upgrade?
@@alex_darsen That actually means you should be OK as far as processor support goes. But to make sure, do you know what processor you have?
@@BeYourOwnNerd It’s an Intel i7, but an old one.

Other than continued support? What are the benefits? Is it faster or better or more secure? Just curious. Thanks, I am looking to do this.
It always makes me chuckle when I see people call Windows 11 an upgrade.
He's not calling Windows 11 an upgrade. The video demonstrates how to upgrade to a newer version of Windows FROM Windows 10 (booted), and want to keep your files, but lack TPM.
It always makes me chuckle to see people use incorrect grammar.
@@jst601 That would be a typo, not bad grammar. Serves me right for failing to check. I will fix it.
Yes, true. You could make some registry edits, but most average Windows users are not comfortable doing that.

I agree. I wish I would have mentioned the possible issues with UEFI and MBR and the solution to fix it.
I don't think you need special software to convert a partition from MBR to GPT .

Yes, it looks like they removed it from the .zip file. It still works without it.
As for your other system, being unable to upgrade from Windows 11 23H2, to 24H2, that is because rumor has it that Microsoft has currently disabled updates to 24H2 because of the gaming issue I linked above.

Hello. A viewer left a comment two days ago with the same issue. He was the first one I heard from with this issue. I am not sure what is causing it. My suggestion is to please go to the link for the developer's github github.com/builtbybel/Flyby11/issues and, create a new issue (bug report), and give him as much detail as possible (a screenshot or a copy and paste of the Flyby11 window when the ISO fails to mount as a drive letter). That way he can fix the issue with his code. Please keep me updated. 🙂

It might, but the only way to know is to try it. But first, I would make a complete backup image of your system, so you can restore your system from the backup image if you can’t boot into Windows 11 after upgrading. Do you know how to do that?
@BeYourOwnNerd No can you tell me how to do it & will you get security updates from Microsoft if you install windows 11 by this way?

Sunday afternoon- got the program to run with modification correcting the script but microsoft would not allow d/l. Locked out.
Microsoft updated the download location of their Windows 11 ISO files, which are needed to perform the upgrade. Please see this video of mine for the fix: ua-cam.com/video/eXKgU0o4JSg/v-deo.html If you are currently locked out from downloading by Microsoft, you will need to wait 4+ hours to try again.
It didn't work for me. I had a pop up that said that it could not be updated in my area. The pop-up suggested that I install a VPN and try again. I installed the VPN but the system seem to be stuck halfway through the process. It would not allow me to delete the downloads. I had two restore my system back three days.
Sorry it didn't work for you. When the pop up said it "could not be update in my area", did it say that Microsoft has blocked you?
No, just that I needed to use a VPN because I was restricted in my area.@@BeYourOwnNerd
I appreciate your help with this, but unfortunately, it didn't work for me. At the final stage, where it asks you to choose, the "Keep files and settings" option is grayed out. Only the "Keep personal files only" option works
@DinoAlbert. Since this is happening, the Windows upgrade procedure/process is unhappy about something.
Thanks for the quick reply. I'll check all of the above and hope that works.
I couldn't have said it better myself! 😎

Just curious, I have Windows 10 Enterprise and am wondering if this will work for me?
I have not tried it personally on the Enterprise edition. However, I did have one viewer in the comments below update his Windows, and he didn't notice he was running Windows Enterprise edition until after he had used FlyBy11 to upgrade from Windows 10. So it worked for him. But I would do a full image backup of your system before attempting it. Please report back if you end up trying it. 😎
I have a question will this process still get security updates? Also were there be a watermark?
Yes, as of this reply, you will still get updates. There is no watermark yet. When Microsoft does turn on the watermark, there will be a way to turn it off in the registry. I have a video coming out soon. 😎
Thank You. This was a very good, eas to follow process. I had to toun off the VPN at one point o continue.
You're welcome, and thanks for watching. Yeah, VPN connections can be finicky sometimes because sometimes Microsoft will allow them to download their ISO files, and other times they don't depending on what VPN server you are connected to (and if the IP address of the server is currently blacklisted, etc.).
I received an error message telling me that Some users, entities and locations are banned from using this service after selecting my language.
This means Microsoft has temporarily blocked your IP address from accessing the Windows 11 ISO download. Please try again in 4+ hours.
When my system go to the ‘choose what to keep’ prompt, the ‘keep files, settings, and apps’ was greyed out! I need to check out why.
Check your language in the "Fido - Feature ISO Downloader" window (@ the 6:23 minute mark in my video). You may have left it defaulted to "English (international)", which will cause the "keep files, settings, and apps" to be grayed out. Set it to "English (United States)", if that is your language on your current Windows 10 version.
On the download I am missing the Sysfresh file with the gear wheel. I got to 6min 15sec and got an error popup Error: The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.
The developer removed the Sysfresh file form the latest version of Flyby11. It is no longer needed. As for the 403 error: Micosoft recently changed their download location for the Windows 11 ISO files. To fix this, please watch this video from me: ua-cam.com/video/eXKgU0o4JSg/v-deo.html
Will you get Windows 11 security update patches through Microsoft?
Yes. 🙂

Then, you can rerun FlyBy11.exe, and it will work. If you are uncomfortable doing the above steps, please wait for my new video on the process.
