In this Paint It Black guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this awesome song by The Rolling Stones on acoustic guitar.
The tuning is a bit strange on the original recording. You need to have a capo at the 2nd fret, but you will still sound a little bit flat of the original recording. You will need to either slightly tune each string up, or place an mp3 of the track into software like Seventh String's "Transcribe" to slightly detune the recording so you can play along with it in tune. That is what I needed to due in order to transcribe this song.
I will be arranging the sitar melodies for guitar and they sound really nice on an acoustic guitar. There is also some rhythm guitar work under the sitar melodies that I will cover just in case you have a second guitarist you can jam this with.
I will go through each section of the song in the order that it appears on the recording. There are a lot of repeats so hopefully you will get this great song under your fingers in no time! #paintitblackguitarlesson #rollingstones #guitarcovers #faithguitars

I learnt to play this years ago, but I like how you showed all of the little embellishments some of which I hadn't even heard before, (such as the bend, and the e on the b string paired with the capoed d on the e) but now you point them out are glaringly obvious, super cool.

This was definitely an eye opener lol I'm a beginner and seeing this in person looks alot more difficult than i thought it was gonna be after so many times hearing it 😅. I definitely wanna attempt the main intro/riff, that lick sounds amazing on acoustic. Hopefully can get a good tone on my electric.

Yeah, I noticed a youtube recording I was listening to was out of tune. At first I thought it was because somebody digitized the song off of a vinyl record and their turntable was out of calibration. But then I noticed all of them sounded like that so the original must be like that . I wonder why that was? Did the sitar have a wack tuning the Stones had to adjust for?

It's a Faith Venus guitar from the UK. I saw Carl unpack a Faith a few years ago and ordered myself one. It's a great guitar, a little smaller than most guitars and great for me because I have small hands. I also have a Faith Venus Blood Moon and a Venus 12-string as well.

KingCreeper 2.0 I think he picks from the notation and some points he feels some notes are not the same as it was played. I think thats what he meant when he said he uses his ears but the whole things thru his ears is something superhuman.
