The reason you are not feeling the separation is because you have it set up incorrect. Under Suspension it should be: FRONT LEFT = SEAT F/L - ON FRONT RIGHT = SEAT F/R - ON REAR LEFT = SEAT R/L - ON REAR RIGHT = SEAT R/R - ON So the ON buttons should be diagonally from top left to bottom right. With this setup, on the bottom 4 motors, you should feel each corner be for each wheel :)
For more separation maybe only send the Left signals to the left and the Right to the right instead of always to both sides. E.g for Suspension Front left have seat f/l & seat r/l On but seat f/r & seat r/r Off and the reverse of that for Front right.
Just an observation, but I think the lack of separation left to right front to back is because you have all the motors receiving all directional information. example Seat F/L receiving front left, front right ,rear left and rear right, as opposed to just front left or front left and rear left. can check to see.
I’ve gathered that this adds a virtual sound card and is USB, can you use this via USB and still run audio through your VR headset? That is a flaw in the ButtKicker that it needs separate audio because it goes through 3.5mm (again, from what I’ve gathered). But I don’t use my ButtKicker with VR and this could fix that. Thanks for the video!
not sure what model you got but gamer pro I have works just fine in vr I just select it as the shaker output. if you need to split things you can in steamvr audio options select 2 outputs that should duplicate sound to 2 devices or there is plenty of other software that can do that as well.
Thanks for the update... but I still don't see the point of this product. Make your seat ugly and less confortable. Bass shakers are not more expensive, can be hidden, stronger effects, you can feel left and right if you install 2 properly. Only positive is less noise.
Very nice video, Shuan. Answered THE question for me about the "lag" in the HF8. So what Butt Kicker product are you using? I also have WFS. Purchase code?
I would say it depends on your cockpit and your budget. If you have an aluminum profile rig and can afford it a Buttkicker under the seat along with a transducer on the 4 corners of your rig is the best set up. For other types of cockpits that aren't as rigid and mounting options are limited this HF8 would probably provide a better sensation.
Was wondering that too, i went with bk gamer pro as it was in stock for me. Will get a pad later, now the problem is if i should get this one or the U shake 6 pad 🤷🏻♂️
@Danne Jensen I had the buttkicker gamer 2, and just upgraded to the gamer PRO and what a difference! The pro has more of a thump and kick than the gamer 2/plus... not sure this pad will add realistic feedback
@@CamaroWarrior So just installed everything and hapticonnect ultimate, when i select Mono, ALL buttkicker gamer pro and then hit test, but nothing happends? you got any tips for me?
You said the pad is slow to react in your review. For that I got an idea. Find out how slow it really is by testing a fast car out, Formula One, Indy car, anything equally fast. These cars require your hardware to react on time or else they're unfit for purpose.
Thank you for this very interesting Video. I got. it yesterday and it worked. Unfortunately Not with Assetto Corsa, nur with iracing and others. Maybe you have a hint how i Had to configure Assetto Corsa for this? Best Regards from Germany
@@TheSimpit That is a very good idea. I just made it. It worked without any problems. I think the next level racing software is still in an very early stage of development. Sim hub on the other side is well established. Thank you very much.
@@Stoeck200 Es läuft über die Audio Ausgabe ganz ordentlich. Also praktisch ohne die Software. Die Effekte sind viel grober, wie beim Butt Kicker. One of our staff members is a rallycross racer in iracing and has been using this for several months now and it's great. you'll get the landing vibrations through the suspension.
I hate the every single review, which I saw on the intertnet, except of Karl Gosling's review, is showing properties of what can be set only in Iracing. Becuase there are all features. But non of thiese "honest" reviews are talking that it's only in Iracing. Becuase for example in Assetto Corsa Competizione are completly missing properties for ground effect and suspension. Nobody even mension that. That's mean you will get this full expirience only in Iracing all of those others SIMs or racing games are just there but not 100% supported. This is a huge deal. Because if I buy it to play ACC I won't get the same experience what I should get acoarding of all honest reviews. Why the hell is nobody speaking about this lag of support? Will they add these missing fetures in to all suppoirted games or this is just false advertisement to get me to buy it and then realize that I can't fully enjoy it?
Hi Tomas, the software will constantly be updated with added features in games like you mentioned, improvements and games. There was an update with added effects this week for AC, projects cars and AMS 2 and there will be an update next week with added effects for ACC.

Great ! Like the update, now I want Buttkicker and HF8
managed to hold of one now i cant wait

Wouldn’t the ground effect function be maximized when driving a ground effect car? formula etc.

Which one is more immersive for VR users HF8 or a Buttkicker? Would you recommend using more than one transducer with the HF8?

Great vid. What settings would you have the Buttkicker and HF8? I think splitting up the roles would be very interesting.
Hi Shaun, would this work on a GT Lite seat
I would like to see engine noise from other cars be added later.
i cant get hold of one in the uk ..anybody got any links ?
If you had to choose between HF8 and Buttkicker, which one would you choose? Sorry if you already responded to this and I missed it.

It should work if you use simhub instead of the next level racing. They have a toturial on how to configure it with simhub.

Needs to be compatible with ETS2 and ATS
add pedal rumble motors
