The team really did an outstanding job on this mod! This really feels like an official module at this point
I wish it was. It's a bit of a pain to set up and install and it break integrity check. But it's better and more complete than some modules. Sad ED doesn't embrace the modding community and modules like this that they can't make money off of.

The big hold up is buying the SDK, it isn't cheap and most small groups can't afford it.

What does the backseater do? Are they there for extra SA and workload reduction (I guess like the F15E), or is there hardware back there that only they can use (like the F14 or F4) ?
If you mean in the real aircraft, the WSO has full operational control of all systems…with a focus on reducing pilot workload.

Both can have full control over all systems I think from what I heard. Backseater can do all, even if pilot is knockout. He doesn't have hud tho, just a screen
The last time I tried with a friend, the WSO had a complete copy of the plane, including his personal targeting pod, radar and fuel 😎

I've been waiting to see this F-16 in action. I always thought it was cooler looking then the regular one. What's the name of it? Can't wait to watch it. It be nice to see a dog fight between this F-16 and the regular one.
Growling Sidewinder has already done that video.
Regular one is lighter while this have much more fuel so it has much more range and this was the point of this upgrade. More range in cost of maneuverability. And it can carry more ordinance with same fuel load as with pylon tanks. But those tanks doesn't reduce performance as much as pylon fuel tanks and cannot be jettisoned. The same concept like f15e with conformal fuel tanks
@@adrianstachowski9422 It is also more advanced avionics wise. The F-16i is its own thing at this point, a very specific variant. It's not just about having more range, it really is a better aircraft overall.

Great, me and a friend were really looking forward to see that it's just a mod wow, that's why it doesn't work on other servers. Why only mods, make real addons, even if they are free. Nevertheless great plane and great work, will only fly much less etc

Just if anyone is wondering,the mod let's you keep your F16C, but also adds the F16I as well as 3 other F16D variants.

I know I will get some backlash for this, but you guys seriously need to start sitting down with ED and start selling your products, because people like me would a) pay for this, and b) this over a long time, for free, will not be sustainable.
