Hey guys. My store: www.longshotstore.com/ My Discord: discord.gg/drNE6bT In this DCS World (Digital Combat Simulaor) video Growling Sidewinder an me flying in the F 16 I Sufa MOD by the IDF MOD Project. We are using the Delilah missile that is a part of the MOD. Thanks to Growling Sidewinder for the help, Hope you guys enjoy!
My favourite variant of the F-16. Carrying laser targeting pod, terrain following radar pod, 4 missiles, 2 x 2000lbs LGB's and fully tanked with 3 external + conformal tanks it has a radius of nearly 1000 miles!
If you get a hi-rez pic or close-ups of a Sufa they have more airscoops, strakes, pitot tubes, & holes than you can shake a stick at. Then there's the avionics in the spine, including DL for the Python-5 and satellite radio dish, plus the two IR pods on 5L & 5R. Found out last month Viper's MTOW is limited by its brakes, not it's structure, which allows it to take on an additional 6,000lbs of fuel in flight. Just when you think it can't be stretched anymore, it is, and it's breathtaking. The Python-5 with its own DL for "Hive Mind" guidance & targeting is a great example.
Excellent video as always. The professionalism and realism displayed was awesome, honestly if those was done with shot footage and not a simulator it could have easily passed for real. Truly well done and I am looking forward to the next one, Cheers.
Read a little story that during the last gulf War. They hung so much crap off the f-16 that the pilots were having to bump the burner to stay in pace with the refueler.... thats nuts
Shoutout to LS. This was intence and great that y r using the poods, easier to follow. I agree that you guys can do a longer cinematic airstrike/defend at land and sea.
Great teamwork guys! I just have to remark again what an awesome platform Israel has made of the Viper with the Sufa. VERY capable platform! Can't help but wonder what John Boyd would think of his super-spartan daylight knife fighter turned into a super-capable BVR and Fox-2 platform. Also, I never appreciated before that when you drop/throw dumb bombs it's usually from < 5k ft, but with stand-off weapons you launch from the high altitudes you really want to be at to engage the enemy in a BVR fight. What a great advantage to have when self-escorting where you don't have CAP to stay high and watch your back. I did a double-take when I saw your altimeter when launching the glide bombs. The Viper is just so quick to climb and scoot. No way you could do that in a Hornet. Of course, if that CAP is provided by Raptors they don't even know you have CAP and the CAP never had to go defensive (unless it gets WVR).
Love watching LS and GS they fight each other very well, they fight, and communicate very well, they fly tandem, together, total shit show! Lolololololol Great Videos!
GS has mastered "2" ... He can say it with 4037 different meanings. .. just like a Canadian and "Eh"... Wait, he is Canadian... I think that's cheating!
Put a stopwatch on the climb from 900 to 31k ft and it took ~ 1 minute video time. Even as dirty as this load-out is, that's pretty fast (not the 72,000fpm clean, but still fast). Pretty obvious how the JSF would be so much better here. External drop tanks (almost out of dev and into production now) on the ingress, drop just B4 the climb, and you get stealth all the way to the climb, then stealth heading home. Depending on threat environment you could also drop the tanks at the top of the climb or fly them all the way home. BTW, those JSF tanks are going to have an RCS of almost zero. Made of carbon fiber box core for strength and fiberglass outer form. The company started working on this system for the Hornet as a response the USN putting out a RFP for a lightweight tank for the Hornet 10yrs+ ago now. Easy way to think of this is it's made of radar nose-cone stuff.
Long shot, you have to start uploading your victories against GS, it's not fair that I only see you getting shot down. I think both of you guys make a great comedy team. Maybe even start a new channel what would two morons do . lmfao
Good flight but I hope all of that chatter prior to the 29 engage was for the viewer's benefit. Otherwise WAY too much radio chatter on stuff that should have been preflight briefing material.
@@LongShotChannel oh I didn't knew that lol. Kinda new to DCS so I don't know the maps... You know if the Sufa will be 2 seater in DCS? I love the F-14 videos you have with Sidewinder
Know This Strange Every Country Who Has F-16 Is Not Allowed To Modify It..But I Dont Know How Israel Modified It American Didnt Even Raised Finger.! Excellent Vid By The Way..👍
The Israelis in the 1980's built a Fighter jet called Lavi, some claim it was cheaper and slightly better in some aspects than the early F-16A's, the Americans who didn't appreciate the competition decided to give the Israelis a better offer for the F-16's in order for them to stop the production of the Lavi, they gave them the jets pretty early on and gave them the option to modify them however they choose to. those terms are still relevant today and the Israelis even used that freedom to modify their F-35's which some claim (again) has better stealth and capabaliities than the American model
IAI worked together with general dynamics to upgrade their jets. Israel did the same thing with their F-15 and F-35 and then pointed out flaws and future upgrades to the plane
Cool Video and Mod - Don´t want to be too much of a Rivet Counter, but I do not believe the Pythons are ever carried on stations 1 and 9 on the Sufa, but only on stations 2 and 8. They require the old style launch rail
@@LongShotChannel I did..and I could not find a single shot showing Pythons mounted on the wingtips of a Sufa. I also consulted the book "F-16i Sufa in IAF service" by Ra'anan Weiss and it confirmed that they are only carried on stations 2 & 8..

Fun video, but… …Pythons cannot be mounted on F-16 wingtip arms stations. Those can accommodate AIM-9s or AIM-120s, and perhaps Derbys, but not Python. It has to do with the aerodynamics of the missile interfering with the aerodynamics of the aircraft.
