All these streaming services, all these cable channels…..and still nothing today is more joyfully entertaining than a 50 year old game show. Like Gene said, they were just having fun. But oh boy , that fun was absolutely infectious .
I have enjoyed seeing Rip Taylor in normal clothing, I have always loved his humor, but have never seen him dress this way! He definitely was one of a kind & very missed!!! 🌼
"Sun _______ " Before they flip a card, I start thinking Sun Burn, Sun Dial, Sunrise, Sunset, Sun Tan... that's an awfully tough one for the final match of the game!
My first three were Sun God, Sun Dial and Sundown. I guess they needed a hard one, since Paul had already matched JoAnn twice: once with “butcher” knife, and the other super easy one, Panama “canal”.
@@thomasmagnum3588Mine was Sunshine or Sunbathe. What timeless game shows including Family Feud! Of course!! Precious Moments! I was 11yrs old. And still remember like it was yesterday! The (Best of Times). 😊 Della R.
I was shocked that all the celebs picked animals. I thought the key word in the question was "horrified" - he was horrified to learn that he could only inherit if he kept his aunt's _____ in the bathroom. I thought of body/corpse/coffin.
is so sad how can two people like each other and have to quit the idea because society says it would be inappropriate not knowing that they could be a better match than what both of them already have.
First two card answer for Brett I believe.. ;0) So she didn't take after Charles with the more than one card answer.. ;0) Is that the first time Brett said Good Gravy?
Brett says, "A Texas fifth of vodka and a thousand cigarettes a day is what gives me this beautiful body I hide beneath this sexy muumuu and of course my great singing voice that sounds like a gravel truck rolling down an embankment"
ROFL! Another fine after dinner episode! :0) ROFL! Love ya Gene! :0) ROFL! Love ya Larry! ;0) camera in shot.. ;0) Camera in shot again.. ;0) ROFL! NICE Larry! ;0) ROFL! Rip! ;0) Love the voice Gene.. ;0) Peggy and Jo Ann beat Richard.. ;0) Brett will put her tummy up against anyone.. I heard that.. ;0) It is a shame that this is the only two weeks that Larry did the show, he seemed to be more comfortable this week.. ;0) ROFL! Jo Ann! ;0) Why won't you push her belly button.. ;0)
she deed what her students told her to do and she lost, B was not a winner, lesson learned: you are the teacher and the adult not them, she could had win a lot of money.
See who can spot Gene's tea cup on the panelist lower tier that has been around since episode 106, off an on.. Just love trying to spot it.. Sorry it just become a game with me to see I can spot it around chair 4.. ;0) Which might explain the every Sat shooting schedule they have been on but that is just me.. Now back to your regular schedule comments.. I'm gone..
It's pretty average for the time period, in some episodes it's much longer. In one of the factoids that pop up occasionally it says Gene's hair was as long as his skinny microphone back when he was a DJ.
THANKYOU TO MARK GOODSEND AND BILL TODMAN FOR THINKING AHEAD TO KEEP THE TAPES FOR ALL THESE SHOWS
This show is timeless.

"Never ski underwater" Excellent advice Richard!
Joanne was/is so pretty!!! Fun episode!!
Excentric funny guys are the best. I Love Rip!!!
RIP Rip
Eccentric for sure.

2:20 I thought I was hallucinating, but was reassured that I wasn't. Must've been a stroke
I was 13-14 when these were on the air. I occasionally played sick to stay home to watch Match Game & Let's Make A Deal. Mom never suspected.
@ than* would have*
@@LynxSouth 😋
@todd long In my area of SE MO; they came on back then here at 2:00. Our school let out back then at 3:15.
So you think!!😂😂😂
First time seeing these- like a time capsule. I was just starting college & had zero time for any TV.
I think the elephant would have GOOSED Fat Fannie.
This was a fun episode 😄
Hahaha Rip looking at Brett's answer, Richard tickling Gene, and Brett using up two cards were all just so hilarious my face just turned red!!! 😂😂😂
I wish Rip had been on more episodes, his answers are usually good and even if not a match they at least make sense.
17:40 is this an anime character? this is the coolest hair i've ever seen
$5,000 is equivalent to $28,000 today.
Jane's hair. Just WOW!
9:18 Gene’s impression of Charles is spot on 😂
I know Mark Goodsend appeared on at least a couple episodes. Did Bill Todman ever make an appearance?
WOW... that denim shirt...Rip got a little too carried away with his Bedazzler 😜😜
Panelists:
1. Larry Hovis
2. Brett Somers
3. Rip Taylor
4. Jo Ann Phlug
5. Richard Dawson
6. Peggy Cass
Gene Rayburn So Devine♦️♦️♦️♦️♦️🙏
18:09 I would have said ashes (in an urn, of course).
I thought of that but rejected it, as cremation wasn't at all common back then.
Jennifer Clark
I thought the same thing.
I was shocked that all the celebs picked animals. I thought the key word in the question was "horrified" - he was horrified to learn that he could only inherit if he kept his aunt's _____ in the bathroom. I thought of body/corpse/coffin.
What did Jo Ann's card read in the intro?
That Barbie one could’ve been great.
If Jane was anymore blond, she'd be animated.
I just realized how much Gene Rayburn and Alan Alda's Hawkeye character are similar.
15:25 Where's Milton Berle when you need him? MAKE UP!!!!
Would "pet" have matched all of those animal choices?
Only in the 1970's would someone go out in public with whatever happened to Jane Sauer's hair.
#MeToo at 1:35. Lol.
HELLLL YESSSS RIP TAYLOR
I TOOK 1 LOOK @ BRETT & SAID (BRA)....
SHE WAS PIG 🐷 LIKE AFTER ALL .....
Jo Ann and Paul are flirting big time. I wonder what his wife in the audience and Jo Ann's then husband Chuck Woolery thought ?
is so sad how can two people like each other and have to quit the idea because society says it would be inappropriate not knowing that they could be a better match than what both of them already have.
Wow, Jane,s hair!😵💫🤪😔🐰🐰🐰🙈🙈🙈🐒🌈☀️strange.

You could buy a new car with 5K back then
My Dad bought a 1974 Chevy Impala with leather all the bells and whistles for $4,000. I loved that car.
Brett says, "A Texas fifth of vodka and a thousand cigarettes a day is what gives me this beautiful body I hide beneath this sexy muumuu and of course my great singing voice that sounds like a gravel truck rolling down an embankment"
Another "SHUT UP BRETT" episode...as usual.
…sometimes …hmm, sometimes Brett can be so ..annoying; I hate to speak ill of a woman and especially a dead one, but, there it is…
Brett's first two-card answer?
Yup! ;0)

Pet penguin, nice answer BRETT. totally oblivious to the contestant, while being a camera hog.
she deed what her students told her to do and she lost, B was not a winner, lesson learned: you are the teacher and the adult not them, she could had win a lot of money.
True lesson, but her answers were epic-bad. The elephant clubbed? Then moved the car? Her head was not in the game.

the black thing? dont think thats a tea cup lol, looks like an ashtray
Is it just me, or is Gene's hair-doo absolutely atrocious---even for the day?
Gene"s hair doesn't" t look that bad
It's pretty average for the time period, in some episodes it's much longer. In one of the factoids that pop up occasionally it says Gene's hair was as long as his skinny microphone back when he was a DJ.
Gene's hair was pretty standard for mid-70s.
What’s slate
The clap board thing at the beginning of the show that tells what episode it is.
