- Starring Martin Freeman, David Mitchell, Robert Webb, Olivia Colman, Matt Holness and Charlotte Hudson this is a fairly dark sketch show from 2000. It was written by Mitchell and Webb and Ricky Gervais.
There are some great bits, though it probably needed more different characters/scenarios.

Brilliant upload. Seeing them all so young and before they really made it. Thankyou CT. Any chance of a full upload of Phoenix Nights at all too?
I've been looking for this show for ages, cheers mate
5 pints for 11 quid, wondrous times
I enjoyed this, thanks Couchtripper! 🇬🇧👍
😂 so cool seeing them in their early skits
Anyone here an 'Inside No 9' fan? That first sketch I swear that's the same place 'Diddle diddle dumpling' was filmed!! Anyone?
There are thousands of residential streets in England that look like that 😂
@@DasHumanCentipede I live in the middle of a city, there's no streets like that near me mate. Terraces everywhere lol.
I can’t believe it’s 7 o’clock already. I could set my watch to you.
This is the best shit ever
I remember in David or Rob's book they talked about bruiser, but I never saw it at the time. Nice one mate.
He's in his twenties now, but babysitting a friend's son we used to have a lot of fun with the "TOUCHY!" sketch.
Tres bien.
Not too bad... it's three good!
Trés bien!
Have un A Level.
d'accord
I've watched this show on UA-cam for yeeeeaars, and this is the first upscale and full compilation of it. Well done. This show deserves it.
What's with the censoring of curse words, though?
Police is accurate.
Idk, as a 26 year old this stuff resonates very well with my sense of humour (stupid). I can't stop laughing my ass off 12 minutes in, so fantastic to see these all cast together like this. Thanks a bunch, probably the first youtube channel I'm going to make an effort to self archive! Haha.
There's a lot more available that isn't on youtube. Check my site - couchtripper.com
Early career skits are a nice mix .. experimental. Some lands, some doesn't. But we get to see them before they flanderise into their mature comedy personalities
"Woocestershire"
The sketch at 5.10 is brilliant.
Can you explain?
@@JoeG-dp6ck It's a bouncer at a strip club who cringes when people talk sexually. That's basically the last thing you'd expect of a bouncer at such an establishment.
@@JoeG-dp6ck the pimp is supposed to be a tough guy, but behaves like a little boy (kissing?!)
Bruiser is a weird one for me. Everyone in it would go on to do better things. MUCH better things. It's just a shame most of this doesn't land
Yeah, it is a little inspirational in that, even if you will definitely be terrible and your ideas may not be every good, just do it so you can improve. They made connections and you can see one another's styles coloring their future work.
@@theprecipiceofreason Definitely. And not to say all of Bruiser fails. The GCSE Bite sized stuff was hilarious.
@@judyhopps9380and the poison sketches
Hard disagree. This is gold.
It’s objectively so terrible that it’s amazing the cast went on to do some of the best comedies ever made.
