This bloke is terrific - great review. I'll always have a soft spot for the LX, it's a fascinating alternative to the usual Range Rover, BMW and Mercedes variants.
Thanks for the review, really appreciate you making such a good review. Although I would say you should upgrade the audio quality a bit more but other than that, I loved it. Your review style was similar to that of Matt from Carwow which is my favourte car reviewer. Looking forward to other car reviews and keep up the good work!
Now i have a vedio comparing both of them And i dare anyone to know the diffrens between the Both interiors Except for the infotament System's extra screen
Nice ...but too upscaled version of a Toyota land cruiser But a good interior, and considering the greatest reliability resale and maintenance along with that luxury I'm happy and impressed I'm happy for you @Toyota _Fortuner
I like the reviewer. I'm getting a real Cylon vibe from that grill. Lipstick on a turd though. Even with that in mind I'd still have one over a Range Rover (if I wanted to waste 170k). I used to see far too many Range Rovers and Jeeps towed into work.
I feel like it’s too short. They should’ve made it a bit longer at least. The 3rd row of these new series is tighter than even the land cruiser 200. Much tighter
@@electrikoptik and what about the rest of us? We larger than middle easterners physically. They need it’s small size to go to the sand dunes but we have to take kids to school and travel long distances
On the old Tele track? Trying to imagine seeing a Lexus LX going down Gunshot... say goodbye to that grill, if you didn't lose it on the way up there... Nolan's, it'll never start again, not without $30k worth of repairs!
Dreaming aren't you ,European rubbish carnt compete with this quality vehicle lets look at reliability and resale to start with becouse the list is long
For this sort of money the Lexus diesel and petrol engine performance is pretty poor - compared to the VW Touareg V8 with 310 kW, 900 Nm of Torque, 0-100 km/hr of 4.9 seconds and fuel economy of 6.8-7.5 litres/100 km
How long will the Touareg last? How much of the original purchase will you get back? Not long & not much, nobody in this category cares about fuel or 0-100 times, Touareg is a ticking time bomb the moment it leaves the factory.
Japanese cars are getting uglier with excessive exterior over-designing. The ridiculous curves, the grill that's so big it wipes out the approach angle of an SUV.....
I bought this LX600 last week. You're right waste of money lol I'm soo excited to get it but I have to wait 10 months but that's ok bec I ll be driving a Beast. Thanks Lord
Iam disappointed 😥 I love Lexus LX has outdated interior things like gear lever and top screen is taken from UX, no panoramic roof. Panoramic roof looks premium 🔥 👌 and rear wiper should have been hidden like RX it's looks premium. Rivals are by far gorgeous interior and high tech. Mercedes has Hyperscreen which is gorgeous 🔥 👌
I would ALLWAYS pick a Hj61 at all costs, its more beautiful, only have what u need and takes you to the end of the world and back again, with a smile on your lips! New car are so damn UGLY wierd lines, unuseable light features, interiour that cant stand spill of anything...... HJ61 till i die!
So... Some good impressions, but where is the coverage of the negatives to balance it out... flexing bonnet aside? This review is like a paid ad again. Sooo many 'journos' on Toyota's payroll these days.
Having driven the poverty pack 300 I can't think of anything too jarring that wouldn't have been fixed in the Lexus. I found that the engine trans combo and the new platforms tuning makes for pretty happy motoring. The only downside is fuel consumption and he pointed that out. Do you want him to make stuff up?
@@LOFLYT Haha no of course not. EVERY vehicle has pros and cons, and when a review is heavily weighted in a positive direction, it's because the bias is overlooking or downplaying the negatives. It's just hard to trust something in the light of confirmation bias... like an Apple fan telling you everything they like about the iPhone but neglecting to mention the negatives or things that Android does better. That and the common occurrence of journos only getting access to vehicles for review when they publish positive videos/articles... funny how access dries up once they author balanced pros and cons about vehicles once or twice 😁
@@GrantHawkey meh, sometimes. I've been reviewing cars for 13 years (just as a hobby). Though I started out pretty one eyed, I didn't find that the eventual honesty limited access, just my puny numbers 🤣. Honestly though, Lexus are built beautifully. Their main down side is they don't really compete when it comes to sporty suspension, and some cabins are cramped. Sometimes stuff is just really good.
In short:
A pure 100% Land Cruiser 300 with a Tuxedo 🤵♂️

Great review, one of the best I've seen. Get this guy on more videos!
:-) a remake of Gunsmoke
How good is this reviewer? Hands done the best going around. I wouldn't have even hand Lexus on my list until I saw this comprehensive review.
I will always choose the LX over any Range Rover, BMW, Mercedes SUV. Always

Landcruiser still better lookin
Great to be able to buy a car with a grille that matches your beard.
anyone know if you get the larger tank with the luxury sport trim ? or the soft close doors if you upgrade to 7 seats ?
no need to pack the webber zip tie a few snags on that grill
I like the BBQ grill. I'll just take current Mid Eastern Nissan Patrol or wait for the next generation Patrol or even Pajero
watching this like I'm gonna buy it.
I am same way as you are. I like my things perfect or not at all

Wow well done Lexus, this vehicle leaves the European luxury for dead ,ill take one thanks ow in black too cheers.
No one goes for aftermarket 4x4 tyres for 20 inch + wheels,
Thanking God for giving us a great review from Jesus Christ himself! Thanks Jesus!
AUD?
Love this motoring journalist's review....he's 'grouse'👍
The reviewer seems strangely obsessed about off roading a vehicle that will never see anything more challenging than a gravel road.
Luxury nice SUV
Q: how big grill you want?
A: YES
Way better in appearance to the 300, I’ll take one with the petrol engine please.
Every bit worth the dollar........
for 150k i would expect a power tailgate.
This grill represents a beard?

Holy Hell that is by far the most odious front end. eeessh
This is a luxury SUV not an offroader or overlander. This grill is extremely uggly. I own a LX470 like the brand and build quality.
SQ7 V8 twin turbo diesel kicks it’s ass everywhere.
Hahaha everywhere, you mean some places until it hits the mechanic shop and you get a repair bill that cost the same as ur house. 😂

Over Priced Landcruiser.
The world is going EV…what a waste of $$$
What world? Evs aren’t selling or profitable and very expensive. Most people aren’t buying them. Here in South Africa nobody owns or bothers.
They just overhyped and overrated
Wrong. Longest waiting list of ANY vehicle = Land Cruiser 300 series due to unprecedented demand.
