It's not inspired by the book. They are simply using the name because people are familiar with the title. Having read the book several times, it's quite clear that this pile of garbage is the precise opposite of the book and embraces the dystopia instead of warning against it. In Brave New World people were conditioned to be happy, but life had absolutely no purpose. People existed, ONLY, to keep society running. There was no development of society, or science. It was a totally static, stagnant society that could never develop or change.

I felt like the implication was pretty obvious but I guess some process things different than others.

Director: I know that's a fancy gear, clothe concept, and effects but in my opinion all of these are not enough to show the futurism of the new london.

Did you ever read the source material? I have not watched this show, but I would bet my bottom dollar that it is a hilariously twisted version of Huxley's book, and trample on the lessons taught in the book.
