Awesome tour Michael, I has a Yen to USD calculator open so I could pause and figure the prices. I was surprised it's quite expensive compared to here. I figured it would be cheaper. OH one more thing you travel all the way to Japan the BEST place on earth for goldfish and just skim right past. Grrrrrrr!!!!!! Safe travels.

I'm from the future and I'm watching old fish store tours just to see ones where people aren't wearing masks.

Interesting orientation of the upper row of tanks at 15:48. One corner out, exposing also a portion of the front (or back) of the tank. Increases viewing area, while losing only the width of one tank space on the shelf. Hmmmm...

You were asking what those things were in the shrimp tanks. I believe those are, what we call here in the United States Poly-Filter Pads. They absorb contaminants and other toxic materials found in the aquarium water. They also had a few in their other tanks of fish that are also sensitive to ammonia. That sure was a cool shape on them ~ ha ha! They are running sponge filters and undergravel filters, so they had to just put them out in the open water, instead of hiding them inside a filter.

Soak the China filter suction cups in boiling water for a few minutes and reshape, should start to work again.

Nice store, and the fish looked really good. You're right, those were rams in that one tank, and they were I think the brightest blue I've ever seen in that variety. Really gorgeous.

The selection there was amazing. I love those tiger platys. I’d have a hundred tanks with those fish options and be divorced.

Michael's Fish Room and I enjoyed the kiddie pond where they got to pick their own fish. Can't do that with these bratty American kids and save the world adults who would cry animal cruelty 😂
