Awesome to see you experimenting with nz grain and hops! But when can we get some of the treehouse beers over here in nz??, I can only imagine how mean they taste. Chur🤙
Looks delicious! Can’t wait to try it! I tell people all the time that tell me they don’t like IPAs to keep an open mind. So many different ways to brew it giving us so many different flavors!
beer in general has many varieties for anyone and everyone. Unless a person has certain allergies, there's no reason at least one style shouldn't please their taste.
thats it, i am travelling from England this year to Treehouse. We getting a lot of Nectaron over here at the moment and its bloody delicious as are all NZ hops
Did the trip a few times, always worth it. Get there early on a Saturday and enjoy a pint and take in the vibes at Charlton. Then be home for dinner. Unfortunately moved further south and a day trip is no longer possible 😭
Hi Nate. Keen to know what Gladfield malts you used on this brew. I have a Nano Brewery in Whanganui, New Zealand and a tiny 20 person bar I serve it in. I only use Gladfield Malt. In my Hazy IPAs I generally use the American Ale or Pilsner base malts combined with Big O malted oats, flaked oats and Munich.
NZ hops are usually wonderful, and I feel safe picking beers at breweries that list them here in SoCal. Didn't realize they had unique malts too and what they provide in a beer.
Picking this up today! I was wondering if you guys could make some UA-cam shorts for new beers that come out? Looking at the Juice Machine Pineapple. Would be cool to have a quick video describing it. Take care!
Okay, you've piqued my curiosity Nate. I'll jump up to Deerfield today for some of this Haere Ra you seem so taken with. I'll also get some more of the Hold onto the Sunshine with extra PB. I didn't expect to like it as much as I do. One of your people suggested it. Well done! Would you suggest the Double Shot Pumpkin Spice? I usually enjoy pumpkin ales.
Every time I see one of your video's I walk away wanting and ready to brew. As a home brewer your video's are inspiring. Do you have any way I can get some of this or any other of your brew's here in Florida?
I watched this yesterday and promprtly placed an order for pickup in Deerfield. No surprise, Haere Ra is delicious! (and excited to enjoy my Emperor Julius and King Creamsicle as well!!)
we jumped through the hoops with the supplier. it is a direct trade relationship. perhaps that is part of the reason we value it so much. there was a lot of legwork behind the scenes to make this happen. the Garstone hops were arguably more difficult.
This is killing me. Not gonna be able to get out there until at least mid February. Hope there is some left. Can't wait till the new place in Saratoga is up and running, then its only 30 minutes away!!!
Never had a beer with Nelson Sauvin that I care for, always get a lingering white wine taste that is off putting, but maybe TreeHouse will be the exception
Every time I watch a Treehouse video makes me wish they would have accepted my application there for a job, looks like a really cool mission to be part of.
The market has shifted to all super malt IPAs and a growing portion of consumers think that any color is an indication that a beer is oxidized. Ridiculous as that may be, I think we need a video on why Julius and the derivatives of it are and should be as dark as they are. To me, these all super pale malt beers often lack a depth of flavor and come across as having “empty sweetness.” I’m sure Nate could do a good job explaining the thinking behind the use of character malt in Julius.
Love New Zealand 🇳🇿 “May - OR - ee” was a little hard on my ears. I usually hear it “ Mouw - ree “ Where the “Mou” rhymes with makes the ou sound in “ouch!” But that’s ok - keep brewing! Neither of us need to be cultural experts!
@@marklpaulick "Mao" as in Chairman Mao and rdee or rdi. The r is quite silent but there. Does almost sound as if the " r " is replaced by the letter " d ". Does take a bit to get used to but that is how they used to say it. Nirai is pronounced Nidai. People may have differing opinions but when you work with a lot of Maori they say it that way.
Love to see Nate get so excited about beer.😊 The passion is why Treehouse excels.
28K subscribers. You just absolutely love to see it. Love TH
Really enjoy this sort of content, the brewery behind the scenes content, and the home brewing content. More of all three please!
Thank you for your feedback!

Thanks so much for the awesome reviews! Learning a lot about the flavor profiles and how to identify hints of different flavors.
Thanks for bringing the best of NZ to the states!
Our pleasure!
Awesome job Nate! Love the backstory and significance of the name.
Thanks a ton!
This beer was phenomenal! Enjoyed it while cleaning up after a hazy pale ale brew day!
Looks delicious! I love that you are always pushing for new and exciting ingredients to make the best beer possible!
Always!
New Zealand sounds like an amazing spot to explore
I would strongly recommend anyone with the means to do so visit at least once in their life
Looks delicious 😋♥️
I wish I still lived up there. I'd be heading over right now for some of that. Looks so delicious
I plan to come to Treehouse sooner than later so

I just bought this beer last week at the Deerfield location. It is fantastic!

Gladfield Ale malt is amazing - basically a NZ Marris Otter imo, gives lovely colour too
I need to make a trip up from New Jersey to try some. Sounds amazing. Cheers

Had some Eggers hopped beer from Fidens recently now I'm waiting to try this, love the New Zealand hops! 🍻
Sounds unbelievable. Hoping to get a can send over to the U.K. soon 🤞🏻
That looks like a exciting beer to taste
great meeting you Saturday!
Drank a Haere Ra while watching this. Pure Tree House Magic!
The NZ beers thus far have been stellar; looking forward to this one for sure

Gonna have to make a trip to the east coast

Thinking about ways to do this - short on time!
@@treehousebrewcoI see what you did there
Floral notes are much more in the forefront and finishes very clean if that makes sense

Double Shot Pumpkin Spice is nice. Subtle spice notes so good for those who don’t like to be overwhelmed
@@treehousebrewco Exactly my taste, thanks.
I need make time from work to visit TreeHouse

I wish I could get your products down here in Texas
Looking at your site. I can’t find if you’re available in Milwaukee, WI?
If not, can you ship it?
When are you going this year?

Great story telling. Just picked up some NZ Motueka hops to throw at a Japanese style beer.
Morning Nate.
Did you have to jump through customs to import the barley or was that handled by a distributor?

So sad I moved so far from treehouse 😢. This looks phenomenal!
That's Beautiful...... What is that, Velvet!?
Have a beer called Hongi coming out soon. Motueka and Nelson.
I'm watching every video, all the way
I want some !!!!but I’m in the golden state !!
Might have to stop....again! ...to pick some up, even though I have a case or two of TH in my beer fridge
This is way better than some instagram porn post.
Haha I love you dude
Never had a beer with Nelson Sauvin that I care for, always get a lingering white wine taste that is off putting, but maybe TreeHouse will be the exception
White wine is a function of early harvest nelson which we almost never use.
nice beer
thank you!
🍻
Had two of these last night, bottom of the can says BOTY? Yessir I agree unless HHHHaere RRRaaa drops soon! Lol
You say Kiora,
I say Haere Ra
You say why?
I say cause it’s delicious

I think you will find that its pronounced
