As a forest fan the 4 point deduction we take on the chin and move on. But if someone did a league table on where all prem teams would be now from bad refs/var decisions going for and against all teams then forest would be getting close to the 40points. If we do go down it will be down to how shite the pgmol have been this season
How did football progress for 160 years without this complete BS. Football has died for me over the last 2 years. This is NOT what Football should be all about.
The economy of the sport has changed.
I know what you mean. I think mega wealthy individuals coming in and buying clubs and buying all the best players can't be OK. But PSR is definitely not the way to stop it happening.
Football for me died when Chelsea changed the game. Been downhill ever since
@@Iamevlhmr agreed.
@@Iamevlhmr cfc did not change the game, the creation of the premiership, the only league in the world that has broke away from its domestic football association to create a league 'owned' by its members
It’s fking scandalous that a promoted club should be forced to sell a player like Brennan Johnson at a loss in order to comply with so called sustainability rules.
It was a temporary 50 day breach of a loss limit that has not been uplifted to account for inflation for 15 years.
It’s stinks.
The premier league don’t want a competitive league. They want a league where the same top clubs take it in turns to finish 1 to 6, and the rest are just cannon fodder.
The great game of football and the competitiveness of the English top league has been slowly eroded away because of greed and self preservation by the establishment.
It’s shite.
This ☝️☝️☝️
Meanwhile... accountants, auditors and lawyers are becoming the newest breed of sports personalities 🙄🙄🙄
especially a promoted club that had hardly any players on the books when we got promoted
Maybe not buy 30 players all at once. Just a thought
I am glad I first watched football without VAR and football shows without bland Auditors as guests. Soon league tables will be replaced profit/loss statements and clean sheets with balance sheets. The Premier League is in full self-destruct mode.
Come on Forest finish it on the pitch on Saturday. PL CORRUPT
Got to keep the relegation battle going as long as possible.
The way in which the Premier League has gone after Everton and Forest has been like a child doing their homework at 10pm the night before it is due to be handed in. Getting heavy handed so late in the day in a pathetic bid to fend off government prying eyes is ridiculous.
The reason we have this endless debate about the rights of the wrongdoer are the ever growing 'grey area' philosophy that exists here in the UK. NFFC broke the rules, admitted to it and signed up to it when joining the league. Why are you defending them or any wrong doer?
Meanwhile, Man City broke the rules 115+ times, lied about it, and will ultimately 'settle' with the Premier League behind closed doors.
Clubs coming up out of the Championship don’t need allowances, they just need a level playing field.
In the prem you can lose £105m over 3 years, which is £35m per season. We lost £34.5m in our ONE season in the prem.
It’s this ridiculous system of including financial results from prior seasons spent in the Championship, just so they can judge promoted clubs on their arbitrary 3 year cycle.
Just drop that silly parameter and allow newly promoted clubs to lose up to £35m in the first season, a combined £70m in the second season and a grand total of £105m come season three, if they’re still in the league, and this lunacy would simply go away.
How about you stop the top clubs spending so much instead
Why?
@@nickchivers9029 competition.
@@nickchivers9029To create a fairer league. Punishing Forest and Everton for spending, but letting Man City do so unchecked, does not create consistency and fairness.
If our appeal was insufficient why then wait till after the weekend rather than announce it last Wednesday that it was rejected. That’s made this process look worse
Man City Charges? Chelsea's Charges?
Come on mate have a day off. The City case is completely different and will take a long time. You’re comparing apples with oranges
@@hellalive8973 Exactly, it is like having a thief walking around who gets arrested (Everton) then you have the known serial killer walking around (Manchester City) and you are fine with them on the streets.
@@hellalive8973 Fair enough clubs should just break as many rules as they possibly can so they never see punishment and get offered a settlement
@@RobertJones-ku4fg today’s not your day off either then 🤦♂️ 🤣🤣
No, clubs that have been proved to have acted against the rules should be punished. For the record if guilty I hope City are severely punished. But people like you need to understand there’s a huge difference between looking at a clubs accounts over 3 years and seeing a loss greater than is allowable and proving over 100 counts of fraud. It’s like proving shop lifting with CCTV evidence and proving murder. Two very different cases.
6 teams try to dismantle the best league in the world and get a £3m fine. Two separate arguments but the paradigm is broken.
Not only did they get their fine but they also had to do an official apology. To date only Arsenal and Liverpool paid their fines and only Liverpool apologised.
The shame
Funny how the smaller clubs get caught ..while the big boys pay huge wages and transfer fees ..dodgy owners but don’t get caught ..hmmm I wonder why, lol what bs.
Funny how you can't tell the difference between different situations
The rules are written by the SMALL Clubs!
20 teams agree to rules than hands them to Premier League to enforce and since there are MANY more smaller clubs they have the last say lol
Funny how you obviously dont know anything about 1. how FFP works, 2. the difference in the charges for each club or 3. how the PL votes on its laws....
@@GWJUK I presume you also bent the knee ..ya clown 🤡
You do realize ffp,is a 3 year cycle, forest prem season is two currently ,and yea, they included forest championship season " too,so they changed the rule,to charge toffee, and forest, but still haven't charged, the big 5 + spur for the super league.and I'm not a forest fan,
Hope Forest survive, I think the Premier League sent a message to all non top 6 clubs, to simply not have ambition, this was nothing to do with fair play. However, they have just proved how corrupt the Premier League actually is. I am embarrassed that they did no punishment on Manchester City and now there is talk that Leicester will begin on a points deduction.
More Corruption from the FA. The only reason Forest's appeal was rejected, was the relegation battle would've been over and Luton being relegated. FA still wanted the relegation battle to go to the last day. Didn't see that coming 😂 Everton win theirs, but not Forest. It's almost a joke. But City still go another Decade without punishment. Pathetic Football Association
Ah the joys of writing utter opiniated drivel, pontificating without bothering to provide even a smidgeon of evidence. Moan, whinge, fart, complain. Football; clubs are their own worst enemies, always have been, always will be. Blaming th authorities for the incompetence of the clubs and thier hierarchy doesn't make it true.
How can you say it will be quicker going forward , Man City been going on for years already, 115 charges. Forest been going on for months and its 1 charge, laughable
There not going to do anything to city . People seem to forget in January the head of the premier league said there is a court date set for the city case and they can't say when but it will be before the end of the season ? Well we are at the end of the season and nothing . And now there's talk of a settlement? Why couldn't Everton or forest settle? Trust me football fans have a short memory and they know it
It does seem that they have been targeting Notts Forest this season on a number of fronts to keep the relegation fight going until the final day of the season.
Man city hearing is in 2045
Autumn 2025
Why so long?
Not surprised tbh Forest have been treated like a joke. I really hope we stay up now😊
I fail to see how Forest has been treated like a joke. They spent huge two seasons in a row without the income to back it up with only one large outgoing transfer to cushion the spend so you were bound to have spent more than you made.
@@DEmeant0rso what? Every team that comes up should just crumble and accept immediate relegation?
@@jackkeane6 Where did I say that should happen? Clubs have voted for these rules, probably not Forest because they've not been in the PL for a long time. These rules are there to protect the fans because if a club isn't self-sustaining and the owners get bored and stop putting money into it, you're going to go bankrupt.
Rules are changing next season as clearly they don’t work.
@@DEmeant0rcompletely incorrect. Half the forest squad were on loans which ended on promotion so Forest had no choice but to buy a whole new squad or they wouldn’t have even been able to field 11 players. They also have to sign backup for injuries and competition to actually be semi competitive. They also spent less than everyone else in the league but could only lose 60 mill instead of 100 mill like everyone else due to 2 seasons in the championship being in this accounting period. Sorry mate but whoever you support if you defend PSR then you’re anti supporting anti football.
Financial Fair Play has never been about saving small clubs. It's always been about protecting the people and clubs at the top already.
Quite right what Jordan said about the fact Forest had 2 seasons of Championship income and absolutely no team to compete.
For the start of the 25/26 season accounts should be published at the end of each transfer window.
The premier league accounts should have a target they expect to see.
If said club fails, an immediate 6pt deduction is placed with an appeal process that takes no longer than 2 months.
This gives time for both clubs and the independent commission to get accounts in order and have time to hear each case.
Then a new target can be delivered for their next bi-annual review.
Not that I rate the league in general, but the Spanish fa had the right idea to introduce an app that would not allow you to sign new players and it updated every transfer window
The Premier League love to be promoted as a glitz and glamour / high end football experience. But lift that veil and it's anything but
They need an entire rework of the system and root out the ineptitude that's been allowed to fester
It’s scary to think this guy used to work for Citeh, who’s to say he isn’t still on the books as a consultant?
The teams comming up have no chance of staying up
@5.13 don’t worry! There’s no risk of anyone going “overboard with sympathy for Nottingham Forest” 🙄👀 Just a little would be a change. But not to worry. We will enjoy staying up anyway! Waka waka
Premier league need to revise the amounts you can lose and give some extra allowance to promoted teams so they are not hamstrung if they look to strengthen squads with the aim of staying in the league.
Adviser to man city...says it all
Can’t understand why you have a man on to discuss it when his background was advisor to Man City during a time they are alleged to have broken 115 rules
prove that he was there during that time...i swear people nowadays smfh
A fractional point lol? Any fraction of a point is basically a point because no one else has fractional points! 0.1 above Luton = as good as 1 point
There are pre-trial reviews in criminal cases and I think in civil ones. The idea is for the judge to narrow down the issues and make the trial shorter and more manageable. There is no reason at all why the PL should not do this. If they had, Manchester City's case would be heard in a considerably shorter time and probably on specimen charges i.e. the most serious ones rather than throwing the book or several books at them.
Asking a lawyer if the Premier League is getting too heavily focused on legal issues is like asking a barber if people are getting too many haircuts
No more motivation needed in Nunos team talk vrs Chelsea on Saturday.COYR stick it to em ! Corrupt, yes men !

I feel like this is getting too much air time. It’s beyond tedious
when are we going to see the 115 charges for Man City. This is such a stitch up
maybe when the PL actually prove their accusations?? not as simple as when Forest and Everton ADMIT their breaches.
I dont understand how any club coming up into the premier league is expected to compete when we wont let them spend money even tho their owners can afford to put the money in... what an absolute joke the Premier league is
how did they lose the appeal, but Everton get back points and the broke PSR for 2 seasons we we only broke it for one? If we got 2 points back that would have been Burley relegated. Seems strange when there is a relegation battle happening, this stinks or corruption and getting more eyes and press on the relegation battle and less stress on the PG LOL because Burnley rightly so would have kicked off because they would have been relegated. This whole season has been a joke.
This is totally unfair to Everton and Forest. It is all designed to give the top 6 clubs a large advantage. How can other clubs compete with the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Man Utd etc?
Produce and buy better players?
Lucky they were allowed to appeal. Luton coyldnt appeal their -30. We wont forget
Given that both Man City and Chelsea should be sent to the National League north and south respectively NF and Luton should be safe. If that doesn't happen then the EPL and FA are a joke.
Odd timing
how much Revenue does the chelsea Hotel bring into Chelsea fc, and can all clubs do this?
Well Chelsea sold them to another one of Todd boleys company's to add the money to there books which is fraud . You can't do that but they mentioned it once and never again I mean funny how they don't ask when is city's day in court cuz the prem said there was a date set . That was months ago and still haven't heard a date. They only care about the so called small clubs
10:57 If we got 4 points for one breach... Then man city should be automatically relegated.
But in that time they're impacting teams in this league...
Rules are set to change...
Even so the breaches need to be dealt with according to the rules at the time they were breached, regardless of the rule changes.
We will see how far the corruption goes.
Sadly it’s a shame that the rules aren’t geared to fair competition throughout the league but then again nothing is sadly these days seems riches is power rather than a will to actually formulate teams and off field teams to be the best through even competition.
However as a Forest fan we knew the rules and sadly our owner and the team took a chance that we would be far enough away to see the risk vs reward achieve what they hoped. And If we stay up they may argue it was worth it . But we got what we deserved but hopefully with the right media scrutiny they will be enough pressure to make sure the next set of rules work towards even competition on and off the field however based on current rules being discussed we will still have the elite 6 ruling the roost. Hopefully talksport and sky can be the catalyst to give airtime to the likes of Simon and Kieran McGuire who are pointing out the lack of even playing field in the next set of rules and keep getting it out there so we see fair competition and a growth of neutral interest rather than the elite 6 keeping there mob rule profits and statuses.
Broke the rules, cried it in.
It was never going to yield anything, for political reasons this was fraught with danger for the PL and the appeal panel. The delays in the administration it meant that a 1 point reduction would have effectively relegated Burnley (unless they can win two games and overcome a significant goal difference).
Need to help teams coming up whom have not received parachute payments be more competitive as the financial losses are stacked in favour of PL clubs.
PL have also shown that players will need to be sold by 30th June if PSR is going to be an issue which tilts all the power to the buying club. Especially the wealthiest clubs. Time for accounting period and transfer window to be harmonised.
Forest and Everton points show that 115 should receive enough to relegate them.
Every prem club should just be told you cant spend anymore than 450million per window
Right all along? You said 2 point back 😂
The four-point deduction sanction Forest received was fair and consistent compared to both of the points deduction sanctions Everton received. Forest's PSR breach amount was sizeable and bigger than Everton's ones*.
Forest were already granted a reduction in sanction at the original hearing, of two points -- from six points reduced to four points -- for mitigating factors (early plea and cooperation).
Forest's other arguments/grounds were rubbish.
So no complaints from me. I say this as a Forest fan.
Forest knowingly broke the PSR rules last season .
PSR breaches due to overspending on players (transfer fees and wages) warrant a sporting penalty (i.e. a points deduction).
Forest's transfer activity in January 2023 was all beyond the PSR constraints, and it helped up stay up last season. We therefore derived a sporting advantage by breaking the spending rules.
* Everton's six-point penalty was that high due to aggravating factors.
Let's do our job on the pitch and relegate Luton and Burnley the proper way!
The proper way? You cheated. A stain on your history
You cheated Huddersfield out of promotion
Oh yes, because it was the forest players that didn't award them a penalty 🤣
Oh, you must all be so very. very happy with this result. A corrupt result in a dying game. No help for any club coming into this league.
Yes!!!! Yes Simon!!!!!
Are Stefan borson and Martin o,Neil the same person? Lol
Still not enough to deter cheating it should be a minimum of 5 points per charge that will deter them
Well Man City seem to be doing a good job of it!
Calling it cheater is falling into the dictators trap, years ago no one gave too shits about how much clubs spent. Its all a farce!!
So charges can't differ in seriousness? In life would you expect the same penalty for speeding as for murdering someone?
The post shows someone who is mentally challenged
Why is Simon sniggering?
A game of football should be between 2 teams playing 90mins with the correct decisions from refs/var. Not the game being dictated by these useless idiots from the pgmol who ain't got clue what a foul is, what a handball is, what a red card is. Get rid of pgmol and have genuine fans in the var room.
