He's done a good job, lost Mac Allister, Caicedo and Trossard within 7 months, had injuries and due to Bloom's model he doesn't have enough power to choose signings. Brighton are nowhere near a top 20 size club, Bloom and his model have certainly helped them become a PL club but De Zerbi got Brighton punching above their weight last season and again (but to a lesser extent) he has this season.
They're about as much of a PL club as Charlton Athletic.
@@F--B TWAT 8 years next year a premier league club engage your brain or shut up .
But without the fa cup n 75 thousand crowd n 40k average gates in the 40s 50s, but I know what ya mean we have had decent crowds in our history but some shocking ones last 35 years n great ones again last 12 years
He is president of his own fan club, he doesn't stay anywhere long he has had more clubs than tiger woods as a player, and it's looking that way as a manager.
People seem upset about this seasons performance but all the true Brighton fans know that this has been an amazing season: topped Europa league group and reached the knockout stages and could finish top half of the table I don’t get how that’s considered a poor season by some
I guess you could say he DE ZERBed it. 🤭
Booo
😂
He left. Didn't get sacked. He obviously has a job already lined up 😂
Fascinating insight from Adam M. Very good commentator. Hope Brighton find the right manager.
Brighton should be higher in the league,if they had stop selling his best players for profit
they need th e profit, sentiments dont pay the bills
Fair play to Brighton for being ambitious, for a club which has spent 95% of its existence playing in the 3rd and 4th tiers of the English League.
IDIOT!
Several months ago (before the winter transfer window), I said on Brighton's UA-cam channel... If the Brighton administration does not support De Zerbi with players, he will leave the team at the end of the season... De Zerbi is a professional rally driver who drives an old Fiat, and despite this, the owner of the Fiat sold a tire. Car (McAllister, Moises Caicedo, Trossard)
In Bloom we trust. RDZ seemed to have lost interest since January.
Just about everyone knew he would eventually cut and run like this.
He agreed to leave. Big difference.
Rare to see someone getting asked to leave because the manager is more ambitious than the club. He will get picked up.
Tony bloom is planning for the long term not short term success like de zerbi.
@@MberrybbWhat success? He spent money got in poor players and was below average this season, Gary O'Neil is better
@@Ruscococo1 staying in top 10 and fighting for European places.
@@Mberrybb hasn't built on last season, was woeful in Europe and always complained and couldn't change games tactically, you lost 4-0 to Luton...drew with Sheffield united awful.
This might be de zerbi leaving instead of Brighton's "mutual consent" statement....
In some of Brighton's last games i always got the feeling de zerbi weren't interested anymore...
15 clubs as a player and 7 clubs in 11 years as a manager as a Brighton fan I’m happy he’s gone. I prefer stability. De zerbi knew what he was signing up for. The clubs policies yes we’ve sold some players and had bad luck with injuries but still spent 130 mil in last 12 months. Tony bloom and Paul Barber are most important to Brighton, managers and players come and go
tbh it has been coming I mean Tony Bloom's done the right thing for me he did well last season he bought players that he wanted Dahoud for example hasn't worked he loaned to Stuttgart and after the 5-0 whooping they gave Sheffield United in February only 2 wins in 13 that's poor by anyone's standard.
Didn’t Graham Potter build that team ?
Like so many before him, he piggybacked on a cub already doing amazing & did nothing. He’ll get a bigger club but won’t last the season & end up at a lower level than Brighton.
De Zerbi had a bunch of players sold. They've had a myriad of injuries, trying to balance the Premier League and Europe. This guy is a top manager.
piggybacking on a cub can be pretty dangerous especially if it's a lion cub
It’s just similar to Roberto Martinez failing up
@@gmak3090myriad, not a myriad of.
U r absolutely clueless. U have no idea how good De Zerbi was for us. Took us up another level
Hr would have been unthinkable 3months ago???? How do these people have a job?!
Errrm Nope Nothing like Klopp!! He took a Club off Potter already up there and continued what he set up..Klopp is Worlds apart 👍🏻
He was talking about the relationship between manager and fans
De Zerbi is not s long term solution for any team. Way too combustible like Conte and Mourinho and in the long term he is not the solution
😮 What? No "be. Careful what you wish for" Brighton ?
Palace could finish above Brighton tomorrow 😂
glasner will have the same problem ... eze and olisse leaving.. and probably not be abler to keep the good football going... glasner is a great coach , but will suffer the same if those midtable clubs keep on selling with no ambition.
@@tearsOfdisgust GLASNER wont be at PALARSE long he will be poached.
He has lived off Graham Potters set up at Brighton ! He'll be exposed at a new club 100% 👍🏻.
one season wonder, flash in the pan
The sensible option for Roberto de Zerbi cause another repeat of this season and he never gets a big Job again plus a potential Barcelona, Juventus, Ac Milan or Bayern job is available this Season.
With the money they have spent compared to everyone else they have been overachieving for years, they have also been hit with injuries this season.
Im not even a Brighton fan and i know this.
De zerbi probably tired of trying to work miracles.
Love to see pep try and do the same job with that budget
Adam has nice hair
You ain't getting mc Kenna he is man utd bound in the near future
Brighton are a mid table team but he got pushing higher. Stupid not to stick with him and back him. No looking ahead just a knee jerk reaction.
call me cynical here but re this de zerbi leaving brighton at the end of the season there are a power house of a football club in bayern munich who currently need a manager so I would be amazed if de zerbi aint the guy who is going there next season reading between the lines here🤔
speaking as an italian (roma supporter) i can tell you that De zerbi is extremely overrated. he was very lucky that all the hard work at brighton was already made by potter. his tactics are terrbile, he has shown many defensive stupiditys in all his career and the way he was made to tactically look foolish by someone like DeRossi who had less than 25 games in his career opened many eyes in italy.
i hope de zerbi goes to milan because that will make serieA much easier for us next year
Whats that birds nest 😂😂😂
Marcelo Gallardo or Graham Potter next manager
Glenn murrey for manager of brighton. Who else better?
This is the end or at least the beginning
"Had it coming?"
Was De Zerbi really fired or are Brighton trying to save face because they knew that he was about to sign for Bayern?
You can't keep selling your best players and expect new signings to just slot in.
Look what happened to Southampton?
Then there best player by a mile (Mitoma) picks up a large term injury.
What do they expect?
I keep hearing the Brighton are a well run club, financially yes.
Selling their best plays for a huge profit every year and not replacing them is now causing them to go backwards. Probably wont finish top 10 this, or next season.
Where could they of been is the question..maclastar cacido left ferguson injuries they were flying
Russell Martin will b our next manager, but will lose Mitoma & Estupinan. That'll b the end of Chelsea nicking our players
Lots of big losses … not sure what the hype is about.
Overrated
You only had de zerbi for one season
two
All your best players sold ffs. What's the point in staying .
He is an overrated gobshhh.
Nothing like Klopp.
I'm sure Brighton will continue to trend upwards.
Brighton remind of Southampton it's only a matter of time before they sink to where they belong.
Nope. They’re here to stay
@@Alexander-sy3oe Yes BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION are going nowhere in Bloom and Barber we are in great hands why there are so many jealous comments on here because our club are run much better than other premier league clubs ,
Not happening get over it .
Going to a bigger club. My bet is Juventus.
Potter will make a return
Nah.
@@bluecarefreeforeverI’ll save this comment when he does return
@@alfieb6711 I didn’t even bother because it’s ridiculous and an embarrassment for Brighton. Why? I think Brighton with RDZ has grown and better tactics than Potter’s time. Also it’s a risk turning again Brighton fans with Blooms decision here…they were not happy not just with Potter but the whole team going to Chelsea. Then since January Barber and Bloom have been talking about a replacement for RDZ. Barber even stated they have their next man lined up. There are 3 other better options than Potter including the Ipswich current coach who is high up in the stats which Bloom prefers but there is a very good south american coach and I believe a top player who is now a coach who is free. I liked Potter myself and he lives in Brighton but why does Bloom want to go back and risk his legacy so far over Potter if it goes wrong? All of these are opinions but Potter is not one of those.
Talksport = de zerbi is going to a Liverpool manager
Was Adam reporting on a hair gel factory shortly followed by Britains biggest wind tunnel before this interview?
This coach is so overrated it incredible. Potter had Brighton playing the way they do, not him.
You didn't watch every game.
It is very hard for clubs like Brighton, West Ham, Wolves, Leicester (now Villa) to maintain being up there, it usually only lasts a few seasons. The Premier League is essentially an aristocracy.
very sensible comment. Some of these fans feels to much entitled .Coaches and players are workers just ike any other regular worker who wants the best for himself and his family.
At the end of the day its only just football.
He's so overrated
Ten Hag is a goner.
He was there two years and didn’t achieve anything 😂 behave
First season in Europe,
Last and only season in Europe?
Honestly wouldn't surprise me if Brighton fall off big time next season
They'll be gone from the PREM within 3 years, as will Brentford.
I agree... Just feels like they don't have the squad for progression. I think they will be in a relegation battle
Once Bloom has had enough, Brighton are back to the lower leagues.
Lifelong fan as was his father.
This coach and ten hg they think they are like Pep
Brighton setting higher standards with their 50M transfer budget
If they keep selling their best players eventually the trajectory will be down.
There is no guarantee they can keep finding the right replacements.
Southampton had a similar model which worked until it didn't.
Here we go again. You can't keep players that want to leave. Rich clubs always get their way.
@@TheSeafordian Fair point but that is further evidence the business model is doomed ultimately to failure.
@@jackwachtel-scott8000 Hopefully.
Why would McKenna go to Brighton? Ipswich are a far more attractive club.
No one's "in awe" of Brighton, they respect the way the club's run, swindling money out of Chelsea, but "awe"? Don't make me laugh.....
Brighton need to be careful they still just a small club .get the wrong manager and u getting relegated
Maybe GP returns to brighton?
Brighton don’t have any viable players to sell for large price tags this summer 😂😂😂😂
Now what are they with all those mid Premier League players in there
Possible relegation candidates next season!!!!
Pedro, Mitoma, enciso would be happy if none of them leave though
Talk rubbish
Your a Titt
He would be a good little manager for Liverpool.
Except that Liverpool have already decided to take Arne Slot.
Got Brendan Rogers written all over it
Southgate to Man u
What y'all English people think he got sacked? 😂
He is going to Bayern. Chill tf out! 😂
😂
That you, Tex?
Apparently not.
Nope
I hope brighton get relegated then chelsea can buy them easier, lol😂😅😂
Brighton fast becoming a Watford with the way the managers are coming and going anyway de zerbi to big for this tinpot club
Ridiculous comment. Watford actively hire and sack their managers in quick succession. We didn't sack Potter and Hughton before him had been here for years before he was sacked. Recency bias can make you stupid.
Yawn…how jealous you are…
Jealous of a small club like Brighton 🤣🤣🤣
