Unmeasurable levels of unnecessary, misplaced, illogical hate. Society at large always wants to bring down the people who make it to the top. Sometimes for good reason, but a vast majority of the time, not so much. Nyjah has worked hard (probably too hard) for everything he's got. Nayjah the only skater who treats it like a sport. Stretching, the outfits, the repetitive tricks every day, all of it. No wonder he’s the best.
Apparently John Coltrane would practice the basics of scales like 4 hours a day and then do creative stuff. I think nayjah is the only skater who has real work ethic.

I rode for that park when i was a kid, Tony, the owner she was cool as hell, then Nyjah's parents bought it and they didnt rebuild the whole park, the rebuilt the right side and added a euro gap and 8 or 10 stair on the right. They also had a dope 6ft mini ramp that was like 20ft wide or more. Park was dope

This is my favorite interview. Cool thing is Chris literally is the exact same in person I ran into him the other day in Santa Monica and he was very genuine mad my day.

Grew up near Woodland where his folks board shop was located at (Frontline). I remember around 2002 - 2003 buying Transworld and reading a tiny ass article about Nyjah and his family. Took my magazine in to the shop and showed his folks. Back when everybody was either riding (underground at the time) Baker or already established Alien Workshop, him and his family were all Rasta so their shop mostly consisted of Element, I-Path and lesser known companies. They had a beautiful indoor park (before they owned it it was called “Boardwild”). His Older brother with the dreads was a bit of an asshole for a 10 year old. Nyjah really grew up from the ground up, lotta people like myself to vouch for him.
