I really hope Ryan self reflects & adjusts. His constant interruptions were frustrating & arrested the flow of the conversation. At some points I was like, who’s being interviewed here? He was over & out talking the guest.

He’s been dominant in skateboarding for the last 10 years despite the fact he’s only 26. At 16 he was winning the biggest competitions against full grown men
Nyjah is a very good skater and won many competitions as he is very focused and regiment with his practice. My opinion, Nyjah is overrated and very predictable in his tricks. Winning competitions does not make you a better skater. There are many skaters right now way better than him but they do not win competitions nor want that spotlight. They do tricks that Nyjah would not even attempt. I will say Nyjah work ethics is like Christiano Ronaldo. Like a machine and very technical and precise.
One of my favorite episodes. Fred has such a great perspective. He knows when to joke, when to be serious, when to shut something down and his advice is always on point and makes it relateable to who he speaking with. Even the way he thanks nyjah I just get a real genuine vibe from him.
Me and my brother used to skate. Nyjah is a legend in our eyes. He’s one of the best. I felt him when he talked about his dad. I recently disconnected from my pops. My dad was tryna hold on to me and I had to stop talking to him.
I never known or heard about him. But knowing his lifestyle on how he use to eat healthy wise really encouraged and inspired me to continue my healthy journey.
Thank you for this! It was so cool to learn about skating in this format. Props to Nyjah for all he’s done so far. Also Channing is the highlight of my week! He’s hilarious without even trying. Also can we get Allen Iverson on here? I feel like this is the type of platform he needs to tell his story about wanting to make it to the NFL and ultimately going to the NBA instead.
Used to follow skateboarding a ton, being a poser and all, and I remember Nyjah killing it pretty much every competition. Crazy to hear about his upbringing for the first time, and sad to hear how much respect and props he has for his dad, but hasn't talked to him in so long.
I am of a different race from these fellas, but I feel remarkable brotherhood with these dudes. The laughter and love make me hopeful for our world. And Channing, I too got my mommas meat, and that shit ain't right. I'm 6'2", 265 and this just ain't fair.

Ryan being the host professionally told him to stop and broke it down to him by saying that just because it’s not serious to Channing like “football” don’t it make less of profession. The funny thing is I think Nyjah is already in that Tony Hawk level of recognition and popularity. When I thought of skateboarding in my teens Nyjah was the face that popped up in my mind

I was raised by my uncle. He was very strict and hard on us. Extremely hard. I only started sports because I wanted to spend as little time in the house as possible. He was all about education and hard work. That’s all he cared about. And I used to hate it, but now I appreciate that he did that so much. He could’ve definitely been easier on us and as we’ve grown older he has told us he wishes he were more lenient because it came at price. Our relationship with him isn’t what it could or should be. So it’s good for parents to instill hard work in their children, but you’ve gotta be smart about it.
Wow this was a cool episode. Idk anything about skateboarding, but it definitely sounds like with any sport there is a high level of discipline needed. I sure hate how fractured his relationship is with his dad. His dreams came true and his dad is unable to share that with him. Prayers to his family that they will be able to heal 🙏🏾
