“Don’t be afraid to take that skirt off” -B Lat 2020. Lol
@Karson Jesus fake comment you’ll get scammed instead
If your scares go to chruch!!! Lol
Depends on how big she is
You got to take the skirt off then pop it in jerk It that's exactly what he said to do 😂
@@nathanellis914 big, small, B Lat loves them all lmfao
this video makes me happy, because i was doing these things already. i just started throwing chatterbaits this year. i was doing what you described out of instinct. getting confirmation from a pro like you makes my confidence much higher.
Love the advice on the trailers, it can make all the difference in getting a few bites and flat wearing them out. Keep it coming B-Lat!
"Don't be afraid to take that skirt off! Im so using that for my fishing and to my wife! LOL
Thanks bro for the sound advice on a serious note.
Thanks for taking the time to share this with us!! ❤️
I just started mismatching my trailers to my chatter baits and I've seen huge success with it. Going with a light blue/green/black trailer on a white skirt sometimes gets them to bite faster. I think it depends on the fishery, but it's definitely been a revelation for me as a newer bass angler to not be afraid to try new things. Great video!
What a VERY effective video. You discuss things in a way that ANYBODY can follow. THANK YOU for your insightful ideas in a great understandable format. KEEP EM COMING
Great information, the application of the different types of trailers makes the difference! The approach of different colors I can see triggering a response from bass. Excellent info, thanks Brian appreciate your incite!
Thanks Brian! These are great tips for the chatterbait. Definitely gonna try these next time out! Much respect
Best chatterbait lesson by far... enjoy every video you do, best fisherman to follow. God Bless you and your Family.
I've been fishing for almost 40 years and one thing I've learned is at any given moment, at any given time, just about anything will work and catch bass..
Brian, you're right on point about not being afraid to experiment and try new things.. Appreciate the video. Good stuff!
Man you are moving up my list of favorite fishing youtubers. Super helpful video and you explain it in a way that I can understand. Thanks for the vid.
Love the content in your vids... Always something new to learn, and usually ideas and tips that I have never heard before, and really work! Thanks for doing what you do! I am always excited to get out and hit the water after watching these videos. Keep doin what your doin B Lat!
GREAT TIPS, BRIAN!! I will be using these on my next outing. THANK YOU!
Thanks for clearing up a lot of unknowns that I had toward chatterbaits.
Thank you for the information. I was wondering....I know your about to be super busy with the tournament...but is there any way soon you could do a video explaining your top 3 favorite baits and methods for each season? I'm a newer angler and still learning. Love your videos and tips!
This was an great video. Lots of how to vids, not many on what not to do, especially for a new chatter bait fisherman like myself. these are incredible baits for big fish.
Tried to find other vids that show exactly what you demoed. Took several attempts at others. Thanks!
Skirt-less micro Chatterbait is ultra-effective and has been one of my go-to confidence baits. With this video I’m now inspired to throw the big rigs. Let’s see how it works! Thanks B!
Thank you, just started fishing chatterbaits and this was very helpful.
I love the tip on removing the skirt, I don't know why I didn't think of it. I fish Lake Panasoffkee in central Florida, typically in 4 to 6ft of water, through a lot of hydrilla and eel grass, this tip should do wonders in this environment. Thanks for the advice. Thanks for the advice. #appreciative fisherman. David Sopp
It really do makes it hunts better! I found that out by mistake when my skirt fell off, kept fishing with it and I was like wow look at that. So B just gave me confirmation🎣👊🏿
I never considered vertical management with the trailer in that way. Another eye opener. Thanks!
Great advice Brian. I going to try it without the skirt and also with some of the trailers you presented. I'm a shore guy who never caught any thing on a chatter bait and now I probably know why. Ton of info in a short video. Well done sir!!
I’m gonna retire if I ever actually catch a bass on a chatterbait!
Thanks Brian! Some really great tips on the chatterbait.
Brian, thanks for the tip on taking the skirt off. I will try this on my next trip.
Great advice bro I tend to struggle with my chatter baits the most in the late summer heading into the early part of the fall
Great video man I have had a lot of success off a white chatter bait with a Googan saucy swimmer man I’ve caught them every where with that combo. I’ll start using other chatter bait trailers and I will try it with out a skirt next time I go out. Thanks for the knowledge bro👊🏾
Thanks for insight as always B.
Great information. For sure try to change up trailers based on where the fish are. I’ve also used it with no skirt and had a ton of luck.
Great video good info., I always try different colors on my trailers too. I also take some skirts off buzz baits too.
Would love to see some tips for late summer / early fall fishing. It is a real struggle for me.
Try doing the same thing but moving 3-6ft deeper. A lot of times they are starting to transition into deeper water. The deepest weed edges can be very productive. Drag a drop shot from deep to shallow until you feel the first weed wall and shake there till someone comes out to play.
Edwin Evers has a channel and has been discussing fall fishing
that's true about the trailer . I was using the paddle tail swim bait and not catching many fish so I found some 5'' double tail grubs that were smaller and shorter and I started catching more fish and now I have more confidence in the chatter bait . ribbon tail and fat max worms , beaver style bait like my favorite D-bomb and sweet beaver and chatter bait and popping frog is about all i use to catch fish and do well
Great video. I like to use a zoom spinner bait trailer on the Jack hammer. It swims more erratically and hunts well. Also. It provides a smaller profile.
Thanks for the awesome information Brain!
Great tips... I'll definitely be trying the no skirt trick...
Here is SW Pa I typically run the ZMan Evos on 10lb fluro and have not had an issue. I use my drag and and not into tractoring fish it at warp speed.
I sometimes do fish them on 30lb test as we have muskie here.
Just had a guy catch a 44lb 51" muskie here in a spot below my home a few weeks back.
I've caught bass on the chatterbaits on both heavy and lighter setups.
Awesome video, with some great tips from an elite angler. Thank you.
Thx and awesome tips. Will try them.
Your the man! Info for days! Reliable, fast, pleasant
He speaks the truth! Reel speed extremely important!
Great tip brother! Well explained. Keep em coming!
Hey man. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and wisdom.
Thank you allways nice to know how to fix miner problems thanks again
Never tried ditching the skirt. I will next time I throw the chatter. 👊🏻
I’ve done well with a fluke as a trailer. Love the tip for using without the skirt. Give em hell Blat.
I’ve been on the ZMAN Wagon for almost 7 years now and I’ve got just about everything, and love them all, but one of The Best Things ZMAN has is YOU, BRIAN LATIMER 👍✊🎣🔨🎣 I’ve picked up the skirtless Chatterbait for Deisel Minnows , I’ve learned more from you and Miles “Sonar” Burghoff and just another reason I respect and follow you.... MadRespect B-Lat ✊
B lat! Your the real deal brotha lol.! Born in Greenville SC! Out here in the Boston area now! Come on up and do some fishing would love to throw some line's with you ! Much love from BestCoastBassin! Just starting out my fishing channel as well. You've taught me so much dude. I watch your videos while I'm out on the kayak LMAO.

Good stuff Brian. Thanks!!
The chatterbait has become my favorite. Been fishing it all summer and bass love it.
Yo Brian thanks for these tips im subscribed and turned on notifications i love your content and i really love your vids about fishing in the rain.
Black and Blue chatter with the punkin green craw!! Biggest Bass Iv ever caught was on that combo!!💪💪🎣🎣
Great video... I needed it two days ago lol I was a straight rookie all weekend
thanks for the great tips ill be trying them in the bank tournament im starting on monday
Definitely will start ditching the skirt the more beat up it gets lol. Good tip B Lat
Thanks for another wonderful video, Brian. Great stuff. Don
Omg I’m dying. BLat you’re my hero!
Great info Brian! I appreciate it!
Thanks for sharing!
great video with out a lot of sales pump......loved it.( yea I saw all the z-man plugs...but you're not pushing it too much).
Thanks Brian 👍
Man to man I also like em with the skirt off also... 🤔
Great Tips. Thank you
Great tips! However, in an open water scenario (no vegetation) high speed is magical. Legit hardest strikes I get are when the Chatterbait with speed shad trailer is ripping.
Thanks..awesome advice
My absolute favorite chatterbait trailer is a Yamamoto cowboy. I've caught alot of fish on that combo.
Even though an another comment on the skirt is quite tempting, I'd rather thank you for the tip of not being afraid of mismatching colors. Cheers!
I wish i would have seen this before i took a trip to chickamauga yesterday. Fishing without skirt might have helped me.
Awesome video as always.
Thanks Brian
Brian Latimer, when you jerking it out of the weeds, one time it falls to the left ( that was actually your right ) and the the next time it falls to the left ( better know to us country folk as the other left), I almost peed in my bibs laughing. Your videos are great and informative young man. Laughing with you not at you!
So far I really like chatterbaits. I just need to figure out where to use them where I live in NC.
Great information thanks alot!!!
Awesome video!
Are there any size preferences for this application when fishing a chatterbait and removing the skirt and using a soft plastic such as a paddle tail? I mean I know you can pretty much use any style or size but I'm asking have you found any one particular combination that works best. Like a 3" or 4"?
I agree on reel speed. I think a lot of guys go way too fast with several techniques here lately
What is the better rod for the bait: Med. Power/Fast action or Med. Heavy power/mod, fast action?
You are a very trustful guy
Nice and informative, Great! Keep it up. / 🇸🇪
I love those plano edge tackle boxes, it's all I use!
Great !! Cheers from New South Wales
Awesome stuff...thanks
I just picked up a couple chatter bait jig heads for ice fishing lakers. Would it work alright for vertical jigging in deep water?
Yo B.Lat do a home boi a solid and make a video for a beginner fisherman on how to actually tie on the jack hammer stealth blade so I can be ready to catch these bass in mn in the month once this snow melts thank you, & good luck on your next tournament & if your ever in the twin cities let's link up & go fishing together..
I was curious as to kind of rod do you use with the chatterbait. One rod for that type of bait or do you change it up as for the conditions and structure?
Great tips !
How did you like your pro tour motor guide and how good is dose it stay locked in to a spot in the wind
What type of rod do you recommend. Not necessarily brand but length, power, and action?
Can you use that for stripe bass saltwater and freshwater?
How do u fish “heavy vegetation” with the hook exposed? (When taking the skirt off)??
The Master has spoken. Pay attention!
Good advice! Chatterbait is one of my favorite ways to catch em! You ever throw em on a glass rod?
love to see video on jig fishing
Thanks for info!
Has anyone tried throwing a keytech on the Zman chatter bait? Specifically on lake Lanier.
Great tips my friend
Got a new sub fam thanks for the game
Gonna have to test these on my pressures lakes
You didnt mention the rod u use. Just wondering what you use but i think ive got it dialed for the most part
love these videos
