Plus the share holders. And I’m no genius but, if I was a low life “smart” dr. And I snicker at Kratom pro users because I know it will never pass for decades. I’m going to bet my money in anything that “helps” any addiction that makes money. Sick
Stupid sick! None of those drs non have been through heroine/opiate withdrawals, none have had a major injury, none have had severe chronic depression, nor had to work 4 jobs neglecting precious sleep while in college, and it’s them that hove no clue what a life saving plant this is. And it’s them no sayers whom have no real effects from the plant, they are the ones who have the means to publish really good studies.
This plant I owe many thanks to. I have Piriformis syndrome and tumors on my spine. Im in debilitating pain all day every day nonstop I can’t even sleep longer than four hours because have to get up and re-circulate blood in my legs I’ve lost two of my smallest toes on my right leg because the circulation doesn’t reach that far. I have heavy medication and Kratom works better than my prescribed six bottles of meds. It is stupid these med compare it to a kiss boo boo!
I can almost guarantee these men have stock in medicine. I’m gonna go as far as to say I bet you they prescribe to their patients the same medication that they have Stocks in.
The whole back-and-forth reminded me of my 6 foot tall brother playing a six-year-old a game of basketball. And the 6 foot tall person just keeps dunking in dunking on top of the six-year-old. Instead of working with the six-year-old, having a win win win situation they just want to put words together all fast because it’s not studied enough therefore it’s bad.
I would love to be apart of a trial, save me $70 a month. The only bad side effect I have from Kratom is constipation, and increases redness on my skin. Sometimes I get itchy after 30 grams. I take about 20 before bed and 30 mins before that I chew 3,000mg of tums to line my stomach allowing all parts of the Kratom to fully break down in my stomach. The longer in my stomach the more it’s being absorbed.
      Sorry for my rant

I use it often. Have so for over a decade. And I’m a practicing physician in a thriving clinic. The dangers associated with kratom are primarily limited to its addictive nature. Anyone claiming an overdose death due to Kratom is pushing propaganda and conveniently failing to mention the loads of benzos and fentanyl also found on the toxicology report. The opioid receptor agonistic action associated with kratom is metabolized through a different pathway (protein G) that does NOT cause respiratory depression…..respiratory depression being the cause responsible for the vast majority of traditional opioid-related deaths.

I have extreme pain with arthritis and associated pain. I tried Kratom Red Vein Bali last night for the first time. I took 1/8 of a teaspoon and then this morning 1/4 of a teaspoon. My pain levels, depression and overall feelings of anxiety have subsided to the point that I am walking and virtually pain free. Now this is temporary, I get that. But as a tax paying citizen and a member of the Senior Citizen club....I am sick to death of being told what i can and cannot take to help my pain levels.

Red bali is the closets in effects to opiates and red malay tends to last a little longer than most strains. If youre using kratom to detox from opiates id suggest starting at about 10 grams 3 times a day. Keep in mind unless youre taking 100 grams of kratom a day then youll still experience some very minor withdrawal symptoms for a few days once you completely switch to kratom. After about a week on kratom start to lower your dosage by .5 grams a day. Go as slow as possible, if dones correctly you shouldn't experience any withdrawals during your taper. Id also suggest supplementing with agmatine and magnesium glycine. Agmatine actually reverses opiate tolerence and a hogh absorption for of magnesium will help tremendously with the anxiety and restlessness of opiate withdrawal.

I need double knee replacements, and am a liver patient. They literally throw opiods at me, which I really don't want to go down an addiction path again. I tried kratom - it is incredible. I have had zero side effects, the pain is tolerable, I have much better sleep (not waking up every hour in pain) and you can't OD on it. How is this a bad thing? Great supplement for addiction clearly, when taken properly. But, be VERY, VERY, VERY careful how far you go especially if you are not experienced in how dangerous addiction can be. Kratom is in fact very addictive if used incorrectly, and can have some pretty insane side effects, especially when abusing the liquid extracts. Key word, abuse. I used every day for 2 years, i was so confident in its safety and little side effects, i became unaware of how often or how much i was taking. it became second nature. Then it turned into $20 a day on an extract in the morning, followed by 8-10 spoon fulls after lunch up until bed time, sometimes more. the level of psychological damage the abuse has caused me is relatively extreme, although it is bearable once through the withdrawals. that being said, the withdrawals from this substance are far easier to deal with than other pain and anxiety medications, which is why it is proffered amongst the community. i do believe this is a miracle supplement, when taken correctly. But, moderation should not be left in the hands of an addict. Keep this in mind, if you don’t NEED it, don’t start it

Let's take this scenario to another level. If I was previously sticking needles in my arm to shoot up some shit that is a little heroin mixed with God only knows what, how the fuck can you say anything about me eating a natural plant that only has been grounded into a fine powder, with no additives? No chemicals being used to extract a drug from it. I mean, if I'm sticking fucking needles in my arm just to feel normal and productive, then how is it a bad thing, or dangerous, for me to take this instead. Making Kratom illegal is just going to make people go back to heroin and other Poppy based products. I pay $10 an ounce for Kratom, and it lasts me about 4 or 5 days. So for $30 I'm set all week till payday. That same $30 would need to be spent each day for heroin. This asshole is the same kind of guy that probably pops 4 ibuprofen at a time because he thinks it's safe to do. Kratom saves lives. The people who HAVE died while using Kratom either take way way too much, or have some other health issue like liver problems, or other medication in their system. Kratom may treat symptoms but might not actually fix the issue if that makes sense. Hope your liver heals up well and you are never alone on the road to recovery! Good energy being sent your way 🙏🏻

@Money Man depends on if you are new to it or not. For someone just starting out, typically a light dose would be 3 grams or less. A medium dose would be approx. 4 to 6 grams. A high dose would be roughly anything above 7 grams. Everyone's body is different though and there are many different strains with their own unique benefits.

I'm a former Marine combat veteran and 100% P&T disabled (in other words, medically retired in my 30s). Shattered my right elbow while on active duty, and over the course of 18 years I've had nine surgeries. Was diagnosed with complex regional pain syndrome early 2021 (nicknamed "the suicide disease" for good reason). In layman's terms, it's a neurological disorder; the nerves in my right arm constantly send pain signals to my brain, which in turn overwhelms my central nervous system, causing myriad secondary conditions.
I've been taking kratom for nearly six years, and while it has been helpful for pain management, it has also wreaked havoc on my GI system and aged my face considerably. Even worse, it changed my personality and made me much more argumentative and constantly on edge. For these reasons, I decided to stop cold turkey and am on day six. While the withdrawals have not been fun, my face is already looking better, my GI issues are improving greatly, and cognitively I just feel better.
That being said, I'm still an advocate for kratom and realize how helpful it is to so many people. Just because I've had a negative experience from it doesn't mean I don't recognize the benefits. I'm not sure what I'll do for pain management, but in the meantime I seem to be doing okay.

Thank you for your service, Marine! I'm a US Army combat vet who takes Kratom for a cervical spine condition I sustained while deployed. I agree with your assessment and can confirm the effects on physical appearance and gastrointestinal issues. It doesn't alter my disposition or mood like you described, but I do imagine it could. I wish you luck in your search for pain relief and better quality of life.

    • @bigfirepop

The absolute opposite happened for me. It improved my GI issues, which I would have immense bloating and constant intestinal pain from what doctors were suspecting was IBS. I can now eat relatively anything, in full meals, whereas before I would eat like a bird and then feel like crap for days after.
Year 5 for me here. Kratom is a life saver. Sorry you've managed to link yours to GI issues but perhaps you should change from the plant based to an extract based like MIT45 Super. The liquid is concentrated with less plant matter. The plant matter has too much cellulose which can definitely become irritant on your insides and will take more to process through your liver, hence potential in speeding up the aging process. I highly recommend that vs going to any of the doctor prescribed methods (fentanyl / benzo / opiods etc)

Kratom HAS helped many people with their addiction and depression. The fact that you can't say "it helped me" on a medical level is bogus. Tylenol killed 150 people last year and you don't hear anyone shouting regulation with that. Simply because they're already making money from it. Kratom has higher chances of psychological addiction, and physical withdraws than something like sugar. From my experience, it doesn't take long to build up a tolerance and snag some really bad withdrawals. I have difficulty understanding how people use it daily but I can see it being good if used in conjunction with other methods. Say 2- 3x a week using kratom and 4x a week delta 8 to manage a chronic condition. I don't think the issue is black or white. And I think it can be really helpful. But it can get out of hand quickly if not (somewhat) closely monitored. And of course, depends on medication interactions and your own personal biology so experiment but do so with caution. If you feel even a twinge of the next day weirdness - ease up. Its not worth that restless legs/arms + extreme insomnia + breathing issues + unique version of depression (and I struggle with really bad chronic depression/anxiety...this was its own unique form of torment).

I struggled with that at first as well. I will say this, it should be taken like an SSRI. Don't immediately quit while on a regulated dose. Learn what 'activates' your baseline. i.e. 2 grams every 4 to 6 hours. Yes, you will start to feel like shit if you go cold turkey but that is maybe 1/20th or 1/100th of how bad any other opiod withdrawal is and you won't die from the kratom withdrawal like you may from the opiods. Slight body chill and maybe some irritability at most was all I got even on my hardest dose of 20 grams daily when I was still uneducated in its use. I am much much lower on my kratom use now, and regulate to my single dose every 4 to 6 hours. The timeframe fluctuates based on other factors such as diet, so hence I say 4 to 6 hours. Some days I take even less. Some days I need a double dose to start, but then let myself skip my next dose because I feel normalized/good. That's the baseline tactics I use anyway.
I find extracts work best, MIT45 Super is my go to as I buy it in bulk and just dose out half capfuls. It's allowed me to move through my constant pain and the otherwise debilitating anxiety I would live through without it. Kratom is a life saver for anyone using it correctly.

    • @jimbeam-ru1my
      @jimbeam-ru1my 6 місяців тому

@@bigfirepop your routine is just for addicts. there are a lot of people that experience very minimal withdrawals from kratom even after long term use. I quit after ten years and my withdrawals were restless leg syndrome for 3-4 days. The people that do have bad withdrawals are the people that started taking kratom to get off some other drugs. Kratom just delays the withdrawal from those drugs and makes it different, but it doesn't erase it. And kratom isn't comparable to SSRI's. Kratom doesn't have the side effects of suicide and turning into a mass shooter.
And no one should ever take kratom extracts. Just because kratom is mild doesn't mean the extracts are. Cocaine is just coca leaf extract and it's a whole different animal than chewing coca leaves.

Kratom has played a huge role on helping make lifestyle changes and lead a sane, healthy , and productive life. The interest big Pharma has in shutting down kratom is self evident and has been pointed out in these comments. The reason the "Intervention" guy is on the panel is because the addictions treatment industry stands to have their ineffective treatment models challenged. 12 step and complete abstinence work for some people and should be a choice. But if saving lives and helping addicts is REALLY the most important part of treating addictions then the opposition to alternative treatment models is at best misguided and at worst absolutely criminal . It makes me sick watching the hypocrisy of established institutions put their machine into action whenever their knowledge, money, or power is at stake . When the message from individual addicts is "This works and it literally saved my life" , their answer is "WE DON'T CARE"

He speaks of credibility and regards the claim that Kratom is a supplement as laughable. I do agree that Kratom is a supplement in perhaps non-legal and non-scientific conversations alone, however, it is psychoactive and most certainly a drug. But that is mostly irrelevant; there are many drugs which are legal and can be bought over the counter, and many of them have been proven to cause substantial harm to individuals and to society. I shouldn't have to make that list for you.
Credibility and laughability? Let's have a discussion about the federal agencies which are tasked with the regulation of drugs. Should Kratom be studied more extensively? As a user, I say absolutely. Should it be regulated? Of course. But the DEA, which derives its legitimacy and authority by law and certainly not by competence, has no goddamn business getting their filthy, greedy tendrils around something with such potential for benefits anywhere near Kratom.
What exactly were the plans to regulate Kratom? List it as a Schedule I narcotic. What does Schedule I indicate? No medical benefits and strict penalties for use and possession. Such a proposal is utterly ridiculous, and demonstrates the obvious fact that they either have no idea what they're doing, or that they have an agenda to criminalize anything that could be counterproductive to profits and incarceration rates.

I tried to quit drinking for years.. On top of having anxiety and panic attacks. The with draws I had the first time quiting was absolutely terrible. Now the 2nd go round.. I was told by a very experienced nurse to take kratom and when I tried it.. I was able to quit drinking cold turkey with NO side effects! Just shows how the world we live in puts money first rather than the health of our people.
