The turkeys had me laughing. A couple of years ago I was driving into work and saw something in the road. I got closer and realized it was a group of (oddly) three turkeys. I stopped and they stopped. We sat there and looked at each other. They refused to move and walked toward my car with "attitude". I sat there laughing and told them they needed to get out of the road because not everyone is as nice as me to sit here and wait for you to do your turkey thing. They finally left and I had another rural story to tell.

I don't think anything in the cop's training prepared him for negotiating with turkeys except if they are of the human kind. It would have been fun, though, seeing the officer trying to give them the sobriety test to see if they were under the influence.

The deer that escaped turned out to have a lengthy criminal history, including multiple B&Es. There is a warrant out for her arrest.
The turkeys would have been arrested for public intoxication, disorderly conduct & assaulting a peace officer, but the officer on the scene did not have handcuffs small enough to take them into custody. They were later cited and appeared in court, but were quickly charged with direct contempt for gobbling incessantly at the judge.

Who else loves Terry. Down but not out, still a loveable dude. Ppl have these bad stereotypes about ppl with addiction issues. But addicts and alcoholics are just like the rest of society, you get all types of folks who are addicts. I read a study that found that ppl with addiction issues actually tend to be more intelligent on average. Some of the most intelligent and kind people I've met are addicts/alcoholics who are either are in recovery now or still struggling.
Fortunately now the stigma seems to be fading as ppl are starting to understand that its a disease that needs to be treated, not a moral failure or just lack of will power.

Hi from Dublin Ireland 🇮🇪. Unfortunately I never meet Terry but I'm glad he's in this world. In Dublin I've met many Terry's and they are funny, loveable and charming. Terry's seem to find me everywhere 😄 if I'm on a bus they sit beside me or if I'm standing waiting on a bus they find me. They sit beside me .Some are so drunk they start singing love songs very loudly and point at me when they sing the word LOVE ❤ The other passengers are disgusted but if they only knew the men and women they wouldn't keep up with the things they know. I love when any of these men and women sit with me coz I learn a lot and talk to me about personal things and they joke and sing. I usually carry some shoe boxes with hygiene items in them and under wear for men and underwear for women and other female things. I can also fit
T shirts in if I fold them tightly and a few sugar free sweets as someone could be diabetic and vouchers for tea or coffee and something to eat. It's not a case of charity but a way of saying " thank you for the stories, the comedy, the songs and your knowledge " Rather than look down on these people but sit down with these people. Your day will be better for it 😊
there was a guy in my city named pete, he was similar to terry but had a beautiful dog and we bonded over our love for animals. I would have a beer and share a cigg with him when i had a chance, one day i was wasted and he made sure i got home safe and actually rode the train + waited till i got on my bus home. I have not seen him in years and i always pray he is safe and alive, the stories he would tell and the laughs are the best memories i have and will never forget pete. we all need a terry in our lives.

One of my friends in law enforcement told me to never get out of the vehicle when dealing with a group of turkeys. Apparently, one of his co-workers (friend cop) got a call about a large group of turkeys, like 20 to 25 of them, just milling about on the road. When friend cop got out there, he tried to chase them away like they were ducks. Instead the entire flock turned on him and chased him into a ditch. When he tried to get out, the turkeys would chase him back in. It was only after two K-9 units brought out their dogs did the turkeys disband.

Wild turkeys are actually really mean 😂 that cop flipping out his baton is bringing back Vietnam flashbacks for me 😂😂 we live on a farm next to a small wooded area and we used to have wild turkeys that would scratch up our vehicles and everything, when I was a little boy I had to carry around a baseball bat just to keep em at arms length when I would do chores or they'd peck at my legs and arms 😂😂
That video happened in my county, and lemme tell ya large birds like geese and turkeys are mean around here, they also have a habit of blocking roads as seen in the video, surprisingly common issue.

I’m from jersey and when turkeys would be on the front lawn of my middle school they’d shut us down and no outside recess and your parents had to come indoors to pick you up lol
