Never heard of this band, but digging the song & beat. Stan, if you can find it, check out the demo version of "The Chain". "The Chain (Demo)". It's just Stevie Nicks, her haunting voice and an acoustic guitar. Nothing like the studio/raido recording. It will grab you deep in the soul & blow you away. I found it on Spotify and after 1 listen, it went straight into my favorites.
Also he had the wrong link - he should have gone for the album track of Rubber Bullets, which not only has the "balls" couplet uncensored but has both guitar breaks intact, especially the real solo at the end.
So what are your other better songs? Which of 'The Wallstreet Shuffle', 'Arts for Arts Sake', 'Somewhere in Hollywood', 'Old Wild Men', 'The Dean and I', 'I'm Mandy, Fly Me' 'One Night in Paris', 'The Worst Band in the World', 'Don't Hang Up', 'Fresh Air For My Mama' or what? Just a great band!
I'm one of those people who maintain that Stewart & Gouldman were a distant second - 10CC was ultimately a pipeline into the pop mainstream for Godley & Creme, who should be studied by anyone and everyone.
I'm not in Love... almost every one of their songs is great... about 15 are great and very diverse in sound. They were all already famous songwriters and producers before 10cc Godley and Creme (the first 2 you see) were also brilliant video makers for themselves and others... see "Cry" and "Englishman in New York" of theirs.
These guys are from my hometown very proud of them👍🇬🇧🇺🇸
💃💃💃 Woohoo, Fantastic reaction Stan 🔥🔥 to a fantastic song 🔥
I was a Senior in High school when that song was on the radio.

10cc were bigger in Europe, but they did score a few hits in America(I'm Not In Love" and "Things we do for Love")
Live with Stan, listen to Godley & Creme "Cry"..
Great song, but for 10CC this is at best their 5th best song.
"I'm Not In Love" and "The Things We Do for Love" were their biggest hits.
