Not sure what Porsche or Brembo would make of Helicoiling a calliper. Much safer to replace. If the joint blows open you will lose 50% of your brakes across a diagonal axis on the car.

there is no way that a proper helicoil is hoing to be blown out3

It's not an unusual fix, plenty of people do it. No doubt the OEMs would rather you buy new but whether that's down to safety for their bottom line I don't know.

I'd be more worried about the potential for swarf working its way through the system

    Great as ever!
My roof is getting the same issue, so time for a bit of DIY. I've read some staple the fresh elastic to the roof tab. Bound to rust quickly. Please keep on posting these video's.

There is a second elastic strap lower down to tension the back part of the hood also.
    So 2 each side.👍🏼

Worth applying some grease to the tap to collect the swarf :)

2004 Honda s2000 here with 107k miles. Driven hard to 9000rpm every single time. Zero issues. Japanese over engineering 😁

Nothing new with a Porsche.. this is why I decided to sell my Boxster.. and so glad I did.. you should just sell it and keep the better car you have.. the S2000

Any idea what the 4 rubber grommets on each of the outer sill are for? I’ve noticed a few of mine are perished so have purchased some basic ones to replace them, will also clean and spray some bilthamber Dynax. But just wondered if anyone knew what their purpose was.

I would replace the brake caliper.. helicoil on a braking system isn't a good idea due to the heat and it's a safety issue ..
    100% REPLACE caliper

im sorry but that caliper has had it, the seat is ruined where the sealing occurs and the helicoil is inserted too high, it will fail
