Great tips man! I was throwing a 4" paddletail today and slayed the snook. It really might be the best summertime lure. Awesome video man and nice fish! Keep it up! 🐠
Nice! Way to get on the snook!! Thanks for the comment!
Wow. It's so different than N.E. Florida....
I NEVER catch fish on a straight fast retrieve. When I think I'm reeling slowly enough, I reel SLOWER.
Nice session.
I tapped the thumbs up 👍 button to feed the algorithm monsters.
@@francus7227 yea generally over here a fast retrieve will work most of the time. Except for the cold months.
Thanks!!
I use that one a lot. The new penny color is fire. I'll between both. Then when you feel it slows down I use the tweaker and it's like it never slowed down.
I need to get some of these in new penny. The mulligan and the tweaker are a savage combo 🤙🏼
@FLFlatsmaster it has been. But I always take those 2 and a dark color like the gold digger and I've been doing great. Feel either light or dark and most of my snook came off dark but it may be cause I bounce from all those so much
Awesome vid! Could you share more about your fit & equipment when you’re going out? What kind of footwear do you wear in the flats? What lb test line & leader are you using? Do you carry a tackle bag with you?
Thanks man! I always put the line and leader info in the description. When I’m wade fishing I always use 10 lb braid and 20-30 lb leader depending on the situation.
I wear Magellan wading boots, they’re from Academy and like $30. Great value
I use a piscifun tackle backpack.
I’ll work on a more in depth video of my equipment soon.
@@FLFlatsmaster Sweet! Many thanks!
Imagine if they stopped dumping Lake Okeechobee water to the Gulf Coast would even better from here. It’s good to see fish and quantities like that. It’s not usually like that! good stuff!!
Yeah I’d like to look into some studies done on how that’s affecting us over here. But thanks, it was a blast!
you should try the JYG pro paddle tail 4 inch i love using them for snook redfish and big trout
I just looked them up they look nice. I’ll definitely grab some to try. Is there a certain color you like?
Can you rig them on a twistlock style hook?
I think there more of a jig head lure
@@FLFlatsmaster i never tried using twist locks but im sure you can, and for color i prefer the "mullet" and "pearl" color
@@reelinfishin-n-football6398 they are but almost and paddle tail can be rigged with a twistlock hook
hey i’m from the 239 aswell how do u access those flats by foot?
Cool fishing man!!
Good that you hung in there....a half mile of nothing, and then slammin' them at the creek mouth. Another great vid, Donnie!
Me too, it’s great when it works out like that haha. Thank you!
Do you use the fish strong app? If so do you find the spots accurate for fishing?
Yes I use it. The smart spots will give you good places to start. Everyday / tide is different so it’s not 100% accurate all the time but I like to use it to find oyster beds and grassy areas.
What’s a good time to fish there I wanna go today
@@eversilvente4107 hey, I would not recommend this area during the heat of the summer. Lots of algae and dirty water. I would recommend somewhere closer to the beaches and passes
Nice work! I also just recently made a video showing how great the mulligan works this time of year. Hit me up If you ever want to come up to the Boca Grande / Lemon Bay Area and do some fishing 🤙
Thank you, I will let you know if I’m over there for sure!
Nice
Thanks
Red drum. Idk why the further south you go the more shit yall gotta come up with
Thanks for the nice comment!
