Long Beach, Twin Harbors, Copalis Beach, Mocraocks Beach, Westport, Ocean Shore, South Beach, Kalaloch Beach, Ruby Beach, La Push Beach, Rialto Beach, Lake Ozette, Shi Shi Beach, Cape Flattery Beach in Washington State all are very popular for recreation shellfish harvest events, it is finally opening razor clamming again as the first time after COVID-19 Pandemic. But this time many are at night times. Find the tips and skills for night digging. Enjoy!
Along the WA Coastal, We found the northern the much bigger razor clams you can harvest, such the Moclips Beach's size is 50% larger than long beach, but the north is harder to ecess, all larger ones are with dark brown shells, that turns the meat some rusty taste. We guess that is caused by high iron ion content in the area by those rivers flod in from the Olympic National Park. We like Westport a lot better: due to natural flavor taste, easy to reach, more state parks provide you more campsites.
Be aware, not every beach are open, please check it on the date you arrive.

I always breaded and fried my razor clams. I will have to try this hot pot method. Many thank yous
It was great to see you in my channel, we love to use hot pot to cook razor clam.
Excellent video. Thank you
Eating fresh clams is so delicious
WA is very famous for its seafood, especially shellfish too ...

Thank you - Bon Apetite :)
so glad to see you again, wish to see you often too...
💥💥💥💥
The best fishing capital for Salmon and many other spices ....
I was there yesterday and we dug some huge ones...
Glad you have good time, wish you come often and love to hear from you more.....
Those aren’t scallops… they are abductor muscles that keep the shell closed. The “nose” is called a siphon and the “belly” is a foot or some call it the digger.
I loved your video, contrary to my comments. We both appreciate razor clams as well. Happy you.
Lovely comments, good terminologies for my reference. Enjoy your ocean activities and wish to join you on the beach someday too ...
Your smile says everything!! I do hungry for some fresh clams!! Great presentation at the end!
lovely to hear from you, dream you come here often and see you down there often...
Excellent information, thanks!
I usually eat the scallop part raw as I’m cleaning them
where are you going for scallops then?
Thanks for the tips!!
Have you subbed my Chanel yet??? Bro, Love to see you again soon......

I’ve watched a lot of razor clam videos, and yours was the best for how to clean it. The dishes shown at the end of the video all looked delicious.
I’d love to see some videos of you cooking different clam recipes! 😊
So happy to see you again!
It is a great place to enjoy the food, fruit, Chinese New Year, and local culture. I love fishing so much .........
My best friend, It's always great. We liked and enjoyed to the end. Thanks
Have you subbed my Chanel yet??? Bro, Love to see you again soon......
I eat the scallops while cleaning my clams right out of the shell as a treat for doing the work of cleaning them
Don't forget to dip your scallops into Wasabi and soy sauce, this is my favorite meal too ....
Wow, I never try shabu shabu style. Looks soooooo good!
It will be so cool if you try it....
What you call the belly is the digger , the nose is the neck.
Hi, bro, cool call, what do name other parts then ... ? ? ?
Thank you guys so much!!
Hi Mark, so glad to hear from you!
Do you like razor clamming too ?

非常喜欢你的视频,希望我们常来常往!!!
No wonder I didn't like razors, ex just steamed them and served, real gritty that way😂 thanks for the video
Hi, Bretty, yes, it will be gritty if your temperature the meat for too long time. I use only 3 seconds, or serve as sashimi, it will be very different culinary gourmet meal.
Seems like lots of work cleaning them. I'd try them. 👍
:))) Line, I'm a very lucky one as Ping always take care of that!!! I'm a pure angler, hahaha.....
Oct. 16-21 the beach will open again! are you ready this time?
@@ShanePingStyle Possibly. I am going to Texas around that time.
好棒!
Hi, YJ, so glad to hear from you!
Do you like razor clamming too ?
Which beach do you often go at this season?
What’s in your dipping sauce?
非常喜欢你,希望我们常来常往!!!
great videos! Very informative . I cant wait to try this . We are going to Seabrook this weekend and I plan on trying this out for the first time :) In the dark of course
wait a munite, Amanda, are you going to Razor Clamming this weekend? NO! please check out the state open season first, I know it is closed so far at least to the end of Nov. It will be a big fine if they catch you! BE CAREFUF.....
@@ShanePingStyle yes we rechecked again . So sad . Next time 🤷🏻♀️ just sucks being at Seabrook for a week and not getting to do it . Booooo
They definitely were dead 💀 so I’m if they’re hanging out they’re dead. Other than that great work.
you should try this way it will make them alive for a week at least!!! yes, they will, dont forget to change the ocean water every day for them....
Hello, I will be going to Long Beach on Jan 14 and it will be my first time trying this. Are 4WD cars needed? It looks like everyone parks on the beach from the videos that i have seen and I only have a Toyota Camry.
Yes, 4WD is required on the beach. If you will go to drive your Toyota Camry on the beach, need to look at the hardness of the sand on the beach, and most places get stuck.
After hot water what was in the dip?
We love Wasabi w. Soy sauce, but every your favorite sauce works...
Have you subbed my Chanel yet??? Bro, Love to see you again soon......
My wife and I are going on the 17th, could you suggest a beach?
You popped up a very great question. Along the WA Coastal, We found the northern the much bigger razor clams you can harvest, such the Moclips Beach's size is 50% larger than long beach, but the north is harder to ecess, all larger ones are with dark brown shells, that turns the meat some rusty taste. What is in your hot pot? Just water?
Hi, Andrew, it was just boiling water in the hot pot, then dip our razor clam meat into the water for 3 sec. this will be the best seafood gourmet meal! It is so sweet to see you again here, LIKED your newest show, love to see you often!!!
What brand of burner you using
Hi, H, It is so sweet to see you again here, love to see you often!!!
What brand is your scissors? Where can i buy one like that?
Yi, you must have very sharp eyes, good catch bro, this is Nertherlands Brand, WISS Tools, we bought it from Home Depot,
@@ShanePingStyle Thank you!
Adductors, not scallops. Body not skirt. Neck not nose. Digger, not belly.
Nice standard cleaning method though.
Dear Robert: so kind of you to direct me on these terms. Love your definitions.
Which beach do you often go at this season?
@@ShanePingStyle I like Grayland south of Westport. There is a lot of beach, more clams, and fewer people. You’ll notice that Grayland is open for pretty much every single opening. The reason why is that there’s more available clams and fewer people. We dug 20/each in under 30 minutes with no tamping on Friday night and we could pick and choose the biggest “shows” of about 10 in a 20’x20’ area on average. It was amazing digging.
@@ShanePingStyle I agree with you that the adductors (“scallops”) are amazing either raw or rolled in cracker meal and lightly fried in oil. We eat these as appetizers while cooking up the bodies/necks and diggers. The diggers (“foot” or “belly”) are the equivalent of the razor clam fillet mignon.
@@roberthawk7677 you must be very expertise from your skill, love to hear from you again, we love westport too!!!
Why the State move the Razor Clam Culture Bed to north beach this year?
