    Thank you for the video! If I have an Apple TV and two Sonos ones, which one of these (if any) would allow me to have my tv automatically connect to the ones upon turning on. Its becoming taxing to have to manually connect my one's to the tv every time I use it. Thank you!

      Well, the Sonos AMP would be a great option if you had a pair of speaker it was powering and then it would wireless connect to the ONE's as rears. You could also do one of Sonos Soundbars and then wirelessly connect to the ONEs as rears. That's definitely the lesser and easier option. Sonos has 3 different soundbars now. Hope that helps.

    I have the arc, 2 gen3 subs, and a pair of sl’s that I run all wirelessly in the living room… why not just get basically the same setup except maybe the bigger 5’s for out door patio with a mesh system to have stronger WiFi connectivity… you can have different zones running wirelessly… unless you need 8-12 speakers in a particular zone the amps are kinda expensive… the in ceiling speakers are nice, and have a clean look, but if the speakers are covered, and out of the elements I don’t see what it would hurt…

      We have also done some 5's on the outdoor patio. It's amazing how just a pair of those sound with nothing else.

    Is there also a small delay on the amp when you use an instrument as a source? I know there is on the port...

    • @GreatChoiceAudioVideo
      @GreatChoiceAudioVideo  Рік тому

      We didn't really notice a delay when grouping zones. What kind of instrument are you using as a source?

    Awesome job breaking this down. I have a question though, I got a Sonos Arc, Sub and 2 Play Ones and I’d like to connect them to my Denon S960H AVR which has TV and Game Console hooked up. How can I output audio through the Sonos system without having sync issues or compromising dolby effects?

    • @GreatChoiceAudioVideo
      @GreatChoiceAudioVideo  Рік тому +1

      If your using the Sonos ARC, why are you still using the Denon? Just do HDMI switching on the TV at that point.

    @greatchoiceav, Can Sonos Port be used in same zone as a Sonos Amp? I understand that Sonos Amp can support max of 3 speaker pairs. I would like to add an additional pair to this same Sonos Amp zone. Can I add a Sonos Port for addition of this speaker pair using an external Rotel Amp and still keep all 4 pairs in same zone?

    • @GreatChoiceAudioVideo
      @GreatChoiceAudioVideo  Рік тому +1

      The Sonos amp should only two pairs of 8ohm speakers. I wouldn't do anymore than that without an impedance matched speaker selector. Yes, You can use a Sonos Port on your Rotel amp and group the two if you wish.

    Nice video! If I only have Sonos speakers in my system, plus a turntable that contains a phono pre amp, would I need the Amp, or would the Port be fine?

    • @GreatChoiceAudioVideo
      @GreatChoiceAudioVideo  2 роки тому

      That would depend on what the turntable is connected to. The Turntable can be a Line-In source to the Sonos. If you already have a pair of speakers and an amp to power them, then you would just need the Port. If your needing an amp to power a pair of speakers that your gonna connect your turntable to, then you could do the Sonos Amp. Hope that makes sense.

    Will the port allow me to synch my sonos speakers with my outdoor speakers being powered by an amp together to play the same music on all speakers?

    • @GreatChoiceAudioVideo
      @GreatChoiceAudioVideo  2 роки тому

      Yes. You can group the Sonos port to the Sonos Amp and to other Sonos speakers.

    I currently have 3 speakers going to my wireless receiver. Would I still be able to run 3 speakers with the amp or would I be limited to just 2 speakers and run the 3rd speaker on another amp?

    • @GreatChoiceAudioVideo
      @GreatChoiceAudioVideo  2 роки тому +1

      The Sonos Amp is capable of running 2 pairs ( 4 speakers ) if they are 8ohm speakers. You can do more than that, but you would have to use an impedance match speaker selector.

    If you’re running only a sub to the amp, more specifically a third-party sub to the Sonos amp. Will it deliver 250 W to it? Since it has two channels each channel being 125 W if you were only using a sub will you get the 250 W off the one channel? Also if not can you bridge the amp to get the 250 W to the sub? In other words, can you take the left and right channel and Bridge to one sub to bring it down to a mono amp?

    • @GreatChoiceAudioVideo
      @GreatChoiceAudioVideo  Рік тому

      You would not use the Sonos Amp to power a sub. You would use the sub pre-out to a powered sub or a separate sub amplifier.

      Awesome thanks for the feedback! I’ve been in a dilemma I love the Sonos sound bar and the two Sonos ones for side surrounds, but to me their subwoofer is really weak and doesn’t resonate well when I watch action films. I’m wanting a 10 inch or 12 inch subwoofer. The clarity of bass is great on the Sonos but it just doesn’t really pick up the low frequencies and resonate well in my house. And that’s with the sub woofer turned all the way up in the app
