- Living in east Tennessee I get to explore some of the most beautiful little rivers and creeks. This is a few trips over the last couple years and has become one of my favorite ways to fish in the spring, summer and fall. There are way more rivers in the area that I plan to kayak this coming year.

Those gar were so chill just hanging out there. I know they look scary but they are really cool fish and have changed very little since they swam alongside dinosaurs. The fossilized scales are usually really pretty shades of black and blue.
The quality of the video is beyond criticism, from the visuals to the sound, all are top-notch!

Like the channel and your videos. I too am a river rat kayaker. Here’s a little advice when it comes to rapids. You have to go faster than the current to control the kayak. If you just float along trying to lightly paddle to stay straight, you’re fighting a losing battle. You have to power through the rapids.

I fish a lot of rivers and creeks in the eastern part of Mid-Tennessee but a lot of the tributaries in East Tennessee is on my bucket list. Great upload, John.

Damn, the Tennessee record is 6 lbs 11 oz to put that catch into perspective. That was a GIANT. The world record is 11 lbs I think.
I only live about 10 min. from this first river, and I never knew how many great small mouth were in it. That huge factory near the end of your trip is where I retired from & worked there 45 years,.

You should have changed to a bladed jig. It might have been the profile that the bigger fish were targeting.

I got a tagged bluegill once. I guess they tag pan fish too.
Check with game and fish even though you didn’t get the numbers off the fish you COULD be able to win free tackle. We don’t cause harm to the fish we catch so catching and releasing quickly is what we do. But sometimes a picture might do for a smaller prize… sometimes we don’t even know there’s numbers on the tag in my case…

What’s water temperature in the creeks and water temp on main… I’m looking to fish some creeks in Iowa and trying to figure out when the crappie move up in creeks or if at all
If I break a spinner bait I take every part off of it that I can reuse! I take blades swivels beads or even shirts!

Love this channel but, theres this thing called a drag on the side of your reel. Often used by sport fishermen to play the fish. Look for it, it's there
John I have a question I fish a river here in Southern California it's rained here a lot the water here is very muddy , what the best to throw at these largemouth bass in this water conditions. ( I've been walking the banks a lot. )
Black and blue, orange, red are good colors in dirty water and something that gives off sound/vibration

kayakers backing their vehicle to the bottom of a boat ramp make me laugh, dude my outboard gas tank weighs more than a kayak.
