Your beautiful green tomatoes just begged to be made into fried green tomatoes- this is a favorite dish in the south of the U.S. It is best to fry these in a cast iron skillet. Here is the recipe. Fried Green Tomatoes Ingredients Green tomatoes sprinkle of sugar 1-2 cups cornmeal vegetable oil, bacon grease or Crisco Instructions Slice tomatoes thin. Sprinkle with sugar, lightly. Dip in cornmeal on both sides. Fry in iron skillet with plenty of oil. Cook several minutes on each side, until brown, turning them with a fork. Work in batches until all tomatoes are fried. Notes The amount of cornmeal, oil and sugar you need depends on how many tomatoes you're making. 3 large tomatoes makes enough to feed 6-8 people.

Isabel, have you ever made fried green tomatoes? We love them here in North Carolina. Thick slice of green tomato. A little dust of flour, a quick dip in an egg wash, and finally cover it in seasoned panko (salt, pepper, paprika and sugar). Heat oil on medium. Fry tomato slice until brown flip and repeat. Remove from oil and place on a paper towel.

This fun and busy vlog has me impatient for summer to arrive. The grotto is so magical. The ferns make it so unique and special. I'd love to see it set up for a romantic evening for two..... the floor leveled and covered with flower petals of all colors from a dozen or more species, the stone bench, little stone table or stool large enough for a tray of drink, canipes, and a vase of wild flowers, candles dotted on the walls at varying levels, the gramophone in the corner, a blanket with pillows of various shapes, colors, textures, and sizes in the opposite corner, sheer drapes in the arched entry, and a sculpture lit by candles in the niche.... perhaps a small desktop fountain near the entry for added ambiance before winding the gramophone. Imagine setting this up for an anniversary (the number of candles, cushions, and flower species or colors representing the number of years married or partnered) or setup for an engagement. To get to the grotto the pair are lead on a candle lit journey through the wood, along the old lake edge, and up what looks like a clearing in the wood to the mysterious grotto seemingly in the middle of the woods. Of course deceptive path to the grotto is dependent on a very dark night and all of noise muted and the lights out in the château. Later in the evening the couple is led by their personal butler for the evening to their equally romantically setup suite in either the gardeners cottage, Michaels flat, or the best of the three mummy's secluded apartment. The yellow on the leaves of the squash is chlorosis. They are iron deficient. If you have a bunch of old rusty nails soak them in a gallon of water for several days and water the squash with it. Keep doing that weekly until the plant die back at the end of the season. In the spring buy some iron pellets to mix in to you beds. Gypsum will also help release the natural iron in your soil. Add both in the spring before planting.

I have to say I’ve wondered for months why there isn’t a bigger fridge, I mean, there are 2 adults and one child in my house and my fridge is twice that size. Then I got thinking well they must have big industrial fridges in another room...um, I don’t know what Selma’s choice is/was, but to me, running a business in the hospitality industry I would think that having the proper equipment to run that business would surely be first priority.

I have to say I’ve wondered for months why there isn’t a bigger fridge, I mean, there are 2 adults and one child in my house and my fridge is twice that size. Then I got thinking well they must have big industrial fridges in another room...um, I don’t know what Selma’s choice is/was, but to me, running a business in the hospitality industry I would think that having the proper equipment to run that business would surely be first priority.
You must be in USA. In Europe many people got almost an empty fridge. They buy fresh groceries only for the day and no leftovers.
