Why doesn't anybody make a video addressing the problem that everyone is having where the total amount of space taken up doesn't match the amount that it says is being used. I and so many others have deleted every possible thing and yet it says that 99% of the space is being used. Where is the secret folder that is holding everything that no one seems to be able to find?

After watching your video I went from 12.88 GB used out of 16GB. however I was hoping that my apps that had been shut down or disable, I would be able to use them once freeing up space. @@EasyTechs tack you, i was able to figure out why they were not available to open up. I accidently ejected my sd card where those were installed. All i had to do was reinstall them again. They were saved in my sd card and it did not take up my phone GB :)

Yea I uninstalled all the unwanted apps now I only have youtube and some important stuff but it still says storge shortage...I don't even have SD card :(((
Everytime I visit "My files" to check my storage, the only category that's big is "other" going up to 44Gb storage max the rest are just photos, videos and very few apps...
Something else to add for WhatsApp: WhatsApp makes backup of your chats and data on google drive if enabled, but it also keeps backups on your internal storage under Device storage/WhatsApp/Databases. You can delete all the backups there if you want.
Thank you for trying but still, absolutely nothing works. Literally down to 3 apps on my device, deleted almost everything, cleared almost everything, the app screen is practically blank now. Only a 32gb device- with an 32gb extension card. Apps and unremovable pre loads only add up to 24gb, so where and what is the other 8gb that makes it say 32gb full all the time, continually forces a clearing programme but there is nothing left to clear!. It is completely full, recognises the second card but wont allow the precious little apps left to transfer. If my device wasn't so precious I would of set it on fire, but it was a present from my late mother, it is everything to me and nobody has an answer! arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!!!!!!

Jessy, when you move a photo to your sd card, it could still be linked to Google Photos. It will be no longer be on the phone, but it will be backed up as a copy on iCloud or Google Photos Cloud.

I have the same problem, and seemingly I found a legal solution without rooting or hack. To do this, you need to pack all apps to the memory card, and make sure some are updated, such as slides, docs and sheets. Fill the cache to max, mine was 530 mb, using youtube, net, etc. Delete cache. You will empty some of the logcat, but not all. Move some apps to the memory, until you fully fill it. If your device hangs and can't do anything, than delete data from eg. the slides. Then repeat filling the cache, and auto updates will delete more of the logcat to fit the data back, and you can move more apps to the phone memory until you are legally done, as if nothing happened. Avoid too much updates next time, yearly twice is enough.
What I've found to also be the issue is that the phone actually keeps updates from apps you have no longer installed. Playstore - manage - and then you can delete the updates from apps you no need or use. Secondly I found to have 3 Internet browsing apps installed on my phone, where you only need one and I use chrome. Lastly if you only use one email being outlook you don't need Gmail ect. Managed to save 1.6gb of storage just from looking at apps you don't even need for the phone to function

I have a solution for you guys if you dont what to uninstall a single app. 1. Go to apps (depends in the settings of ur phone) 2. Sort it to "used storage" 3. Clear the data of each app to free up some storage because clearing cache isn't enough. (REMEMBER YOU'RE ABOUT TO CLEAR THE DATA OF UR FAV APPS, IT MIGHT MISBEHAVE OR YOUR PERSONAL DATA OF THAT PARTICULAR APP MIGHT BE LOST OR GONE FOREVER!)
