(EP. 109) [The Impact Of A Healthy Voter Relationship: Why Voting Matters] (EP. 109)
What up family!
Today, we are discussing the importance of voting and why your vote matters.
Voting is not only a right, but it is also your responsibility. It gives us the power to choose our leaders and have a say in how our country is run.
Voting, actively allows us to participate in the democratic process and contribute to the betterment of our society. Every vote counts, and every voice matters.
Some may argue that their vote doesn't make a difference, especially in larger elections like the presidential election. However, it is crucial to remember that every politician and policy at the national level starts at the local level. Local elections, such as for city council members or school board officials, directly affect our daily lives and children. They determine issues like education, public safety, and local taxes.
It is important to vote in every election, big or small. Your vote matters, and it is your duty as a citizen to use your voice and make a difference. So get out there and vote!

Intro song: @xaroc__ - Pledge of Allegiance
Come on Jalon with the knowledge of the importance of voting local 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽!!!!
Jalon is 100% right. People be forgetting that these folks in the government on every level are suppose to be working for us. You gotta ask yourself, if you are a law abiding citizen you that has a small business, pays taxes, putting in the work to get ahead why are these politicians catering to criminals? We gotta move off the facts and not our feelings
The topics discussed here the depth, knowledge, warmth etc are impeccable. It makes me think, damn where the hell are these type of individuals around me at? Which is why meeting great people is so important to me. Great as in sound mind, integrity, communication etc. I guess the work must continue and perhaps a change of environment. I appreciate you guys frfr! Best wishes ❤
im with jalon on the meeting situation especially the jesus part
right, immediately run to like the video lol, cause the industry people shy away from mentioning christ cause they be knowing the truth of which God is true.
i'm glad somebody mention it. I missed the intro too. :/. Thank you for that!
The redo of the intro gave me my entire LIFEEEEE!!!!!! Yesssss thank you to whoever left that comment
Yea yall!!!! We needed that intro
Yes! Loved it.
We also mis “dem the rules”
I agree with Jalon, as life progresses the more conservative I become. Shit is just crazy outside
Omar, it sounds like you are saying you are “Liberal”. “Libertarian” is very different brothers. Sharing as a caution because a “libertarian” is typically a right wing extremist.
Love this episode
I pray y’all do a episode together!
@@kayla1196 I SECOND THIS!
Much respect to Jalon for not only educating everyone on voting locally but for also being open about your political views. It's imperative to have the ability and willingness to see different perspectives and rather than falling on any particular side (dem/ repub) it's important to regularly assess and reassess the current state of things and how that speaks to you as it's perfectly normal and fine to do so. With evolving and growing, naturally so do our views and we should definitely be taking into account the current state of matters and how that aligns with ourselves. Also, the older I get l've realized I'm more conservative myself because I personally just tend to have more traditional values and that's okay.
Great episode and big ups to all you fellas for being unafraid to push boundaries with these sorts of topics because a lot of us are certainly having them at our own tables and we shouldn't be afraid to freely discuss it with others.
Jalon got it! Only person worth more than the 500 is Jesus.
Only pay for what you eat at group dinners. Don't let these women bully you into thinking you have to pay in order to be seen as a real man. Pay for you and let them wash dishes. Lol No one should ever assume someone else is paying for you unless it's clearly communicated.
The Foundation.....
VERY IMPORTANT EPISODE!!!
Civics needs to be taught in school again! Children will remember at least some of it in adulthood. They will have some sort of foundation
AGREED
36:08 I’m with that Duke!! You better look out for Chanel 😂❤
37:50 me and O looked the same wayyy 😮 nooooo Duke 😅
Thanks for being honest tho because this discussion is sure needed ❤
Come on, Jalon!!!! The only one is JESUS!
Yes Jalon with this knowledge ! I love that you all don’t limit the conversation to a certain category. This is amazing! I am inspired to be more knowledgeable. Thanks for this !
This is definitely inspiring. Thanks y’all! ❤
Can yall please look up definitions during the shows🙄😂 Bruh said liberals accept a woman proposing to a man like there is some law against that.
Yeah this one really had me confused like 😂 that was so random
The comment referred to a past episode.
liberals accept that do, that's the point
This Was Good…Real Good. It’s Very Much About Being Educated On The Topics & Policies At Hand. Well Done…
Really appreciated y'all bringing back the intro ❣
Most definitely put me on game! thank you!
There’s research on how people get more conservative and risk averse with age and status.
ngl trump over biden if you really educated on politics.
Jalon was on point all episode! Hand clap for the wisdom and willingness to speak your mind without holding back!
34:46 ayyyeeee 😂😂😂 cuz I said the same. Ion care WHO, give me the money babe
1:02:19 yeaaaa that’s what I’d be too. Because I do want some things to change but I’m also very traditional so I’m right there with O on this one. I’m not proposing either 🤣 that’s not one I’m on board with.
I’m surprised there’s not a lot of views on this episode! This one is VERY insightful and informative! I’m very much with Jalon, I’ll vote for presidents but I’m very much more concerned with voting locally and by the states. I live in the South, and years ago I learned/saw how many racist practices can stay intact when we do not vote so I’ve been voting since then.
Yes to the intro!!!! 🚨🚨
47:15 😂 don’t be Tate nie Jalon!! We don’t need det 🤣
Jalon with the knowledge. got me learning 💯
Okayyyy Jalonnnn 👏🏽👏🏽
1:02:37 😂😂😂😂😂
When Duke said he wouldn’t tip 20% Omar looked frightened 🤣 loved this convo
Yaassss 1:27 I’ve missed vibing with y’all during the intro 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 can we bring that baaaaccckk 4EVA??!!! 😂
I usually rock with Jalons opinion but he wrong on the Kanye/Jayz point. Jay brought kanye in this. He got a whole song called big brother which is about lokking up to Jayz.
Jay z also brought in Rihanna.
Doesn't negate the fact that Kanye is a force by himself because he has multiple caskets . JAYZ can only rap he can't produce a beat or not of that... Jalon point still stand
Kanye is far more talented.
Write this down Giannis Antetokounumpo Bucks Milwaukee and box of chicken like a wearwolf
Yoooo JJJJJ, man I love the knowledge that you spoke about regarding voting you definitely made me want to do my research and well… VOTE! The way you broke it down to how things work makes me think how important and informative a council meeting is… I can’t get made a policy or a law if I i didn’t even partake in voting thanks for the GEMS King blessings to all yall lmao O we caught that shade too lmao PAUSE
Thank you Jalon for stressing the importance of voting. I got into a heated debate once with my boyfriend about him being hard pressed against voting because he doesn’t think it matters (he also seemed like he didn’t want to reveal which party he voted for, knowing we have differences in certain things). However my mom once told me that in regard to voting, she helped me understand that it matters locally. She once handed me a newspaper and she had highlighted every elected official in our county/city and she did DILIGENT research on them. For prime example, she chose the judge for our county based off their fair and standardized practicing of law. These people ultimately determine the fates of others and if they’re a whack job or racist bigots, they’re going lock away potentially innocent people or worse, not have a fair and just trial. It was always important to her that she knew we understood the importance of voting and the impact. She’s been apart of the community in my hometown my entire life too because she wanted to be apart of the necessary changes it would have on us growing up. A lot of my friends have younger parents that don’t care about voting but my mom is 60 (I’m 27) and she wholeheartedly raised me to believe my vote matters and in the future it’s pertinent.
Voting is definitely important especially at the local levels. From judges, mayors, aldermen, etc. Your local government directly impacts you when it comes to daily life. As Jalon stated, with all of the craziness going on outside, I’ve become more conservative.
loved this episode!!
and definitely inspired me to dig a little deeper into politics
This was a really good episode!! Now I need to find the news channels 😬 Definitely something I want to be more knowledgeable about is what goes on in my community / state.
Ayee intros is back , what song and artist is it please

@@furbo2199 thank you! Whole time i that if was Omar
23:19 we studied this in my ethics class people don’t want to be limited cause they believe they will be there.
I saw a guy on TikTok say the trick is to go to the bar order and pay and ask them to bring it to the groups table loll love that
Instantly got annoyed referring to Drake as a “disruptor” ESPECIALLY when Wayne literally tapped over any and everything AND rapped better than Drake
they wasn’t necessarily speaking on rapping they specifically spoke on the music style whether it be trap, west coast, etc. drake had a way of stepping into several cultures i don’t recall wayne doing a afrobeat or west coast type record
Awe I missed the intro too 😢
Kanye was the ultimate disrupter. From his clothing style, to 808s and heartbreak, to not having to have hood lyrics, to Jesus Walks… Shoutout to Ye!
