Hate the new announcement and motor sounds, they just take away the rustic horror vibe of the Central and Bakerloo lines, which is part of the joy of riding them.

yeah same as an old-time commuter, it's nostalgic but they really needed that upgrade.

the "nice sounding" dc motors were unreliable constantly broke down... i think this upgrade is good for them, the old motors might "sound nicer" but i would not sacrifice reliability just for that.
