Bro! Eyes are too old and directions are for losers so I couldn't figure out how to mount the saw. Luckily I found your video and you saved me at least two beers worth of cussing and bitching. The little nuts slide in the rails! Now I get it! Worked great with my big ass dewalt and I got my cuts done. Thanks!
Sorry for not finishing your video, but I was almost halfway through it, and you just got starred on the process of putting the miter saw stand together. Sometimes, short and to the point is better.
I jst went to my Lowes today 1/9/22 & reg price is $159 but on sale discount for $129 , was gonna get it today but decided to hold off but jst watch your video & you convinced me this looks good .. gonna purchased this tomorrow,,thanks For the very informative video 👍
Def BEST SAW in the $249 - $300. Price range. No comparison. I got a Husky work station and 2 KOBALT Roller stands But now I have to get this Rolling stand lol. Nice video
Great video... I appreciate it. Wanted to make sure I wasn't running into any surprises when securing the saw, even though the stand is heavier than the saw :P Sticking to business while making it fun, now I'm excited to check out your other videos!
@VCG Construction Love your content, love your channel! Going back through some of your older videos that predate my Discovery of your Channel, and the enlightenment that would soon follow, when I came across this little gem. I have had the Chicago Electric version of this wheeled saw stand from Harbor Freight for about 2 years now and I love, love, love it! Best $99 I have ever spent. I am still using it my corded 7-1/4 Craftsman single bevel sliding compound miter saw. (About $125 8-10yrs ago, mostly for home use and small handymam projects around the area) I like the overall build quality, the locking/ quick release mechanisms for anchoring and removing the saw and the material support arms on the HF. With the proper adjustment to the material support roller that acts like a foot in the folded up vertical position, and I am able to usually keep my saw on the stand stored vertically on a very small footprint. About a year and a half ago, When I needed a drill driver set that could perform, but at a reasonable price point (especially factoring in the cost of batteries) I chose Kobolt, and have not been disappointed. Seeing your thoughts on this and your videos about the Kobalt sliding miter saw, this is looking like a temtping combo-nay-shun. Well played, Mr. Vince! Well played.
Thanks for the video. I'm new to woodworking as well as the tools that go with it. The instructions that came with the stand assembly manual did not show how to use the fasteners. Nor did the show them in the listed parts. Thanks for the help. I'm now a subscriber.
Love mine. Got mine on sale for $99 and had a scratch so i talked mgr down to $70. I couldn't believe they did so, lol. I like to store with saw attached and vertical.
you didn't show the adjustment arms. how far out each side do they go? It box said up to 8 foot, is that a total of 8 feed, i.e. only a couple of feet out each side or can you pull all of the support out one side so you can use the stop on longer pieces of trim?
I just got the m18 12" duel bevel saw I need a good stand. The Milwaukee stand that came with my 10" Milwaukee miter was very flimsy and fell apart with larger boards. So I'm looking for a solid stand
Still using my 10" havnt had time to set it up with a new stand. The old Milwaukee stand kept falling apart on the ends flimsy design hate to put this saw on it. .let me know if you got any recomendations for a solid stand I might get the Hercules with the wheels. Another thing the slide action on the miter seems kinda gritty like it doesn't slide very smooth like my 10" m18. Or my friends dewalt 12" flexvolt
I got the Hercules for my Kobalt 7 1/4" cordless Mitre saw! It's a really good stand. I know you like to match and I understand that but The Hercules is built better and is more user friendly. Plus it is blue so it at least matches in that regard!
I have this stand and a kobalt sliding compound miter saw to match but you can not store the saw attached to the stand. It pulls the stand right over. The material arms also can not support much weight. I went to cut a cedar 4x4x8 post and had to have somebody hold it. I maxed out the adjustment on the heights for the support but I still had about 1/2” gap at the blade. I regret buying it and it’s just sitting in my garage.
I hope u have better luck with ur kobalt miter saw. I recently purchased one and side of it were a little higher than the part near the blade. So i then returned it and at the time the dewalt 12inch dual bevel sliding compound miter saw was only $50 more.
@@amoscardoza5253 the cordless Ridgid is great but it's not in stores anymore.. I would go with the battery line up you have and try to get cordless with double bevel.
I appreciate your review. I finally got me one after 6 or 7 years. Thats when I bought a kobalt miter saw. It was about friggin time, huh?!? It is sort of heavy, but thst's a good thong. Your review is what sold me on it. I was looking at harbor fright's hercules, but this was local at lowes. My next item to maybe buy os a "Jawhorse", which I see you have one.
Pretty nice saw stand I have a bunch of the Kobalt 24v tools over 3 years great tools on a budget plus its Kobalt so anything goes wrong go to lowes and they take care of it only problem iv had was was the trigger went on my 5" 24v grinder about year into owning it went to Lowes they gave me a brand new one. I'd get this miter stand if I had the Kobalt 24v miter saw but I just bought a Makita 12" 36v miter saw and looking at the price difference 15$ more for the Makita stand then the Kobalt. I really like Kobalts wheels on the stand better then on the Makita stand but there is video of a guy that took off the wheels on the Makita and nicely rigged 10 or 12 inch air filled tires and made the wheel base a little wider because my particular Makita saw weighs 69 pounds and those little wheels just don't cut it. For the 15$ difference and the cost of putting tires on the Makita I think I would rather spend a few more bucks and modify the Makita stand just so everything matched and I really like the air filled tires for carrying the weight better. Great video thanks for sharing
Hey Vince I think skil like the ones that made the saw is trying to make a comeback the have some new cordless drills and so does Bosch I would really like to see them in a TTR. Love the channel just subbed yesterday.
Great review and great build. I'm thinking about purchasing one of these bad boys and just praying the thing YELLOW.. hahaha. just kidding. but no... seriously. I want one.
I bought that stand a couple years ago to put my Makita LS1013 on it. Personally I do not like it. The metal seemed too thin while bolting the attachment brackets on. The slide lock down didn’t hold well and broke off easy. All the plastic is now complete broke off. But it is outside a lot on jobs and the sun here destroys everything fast. But it is better than nothing and for $100 I got my money out of it.
I feel like they must’ve beefed it up over the past few years. I don’t get the feeling it’s thin-wall metal, I will say I’m not a fan of all the plastic!!
Nice saw and stand. I really like that set up you have. I am interested in how well that saw does in the long run. I just might buy one. The price is unbearable. Thank you sir for the video.
@@VCGConstruction could you extend the stop that has the feet on it out so that you could leave the saw on it and store it upright? Slide the saw all the way toward the wheel end and extend those feet out as far as you can and it looks like it should work.
I would like to be able to stand it straight up with the miter saw attached so as to minimize space when stored and inconvenience of frequently removing the saw.
You didn't move the damn thing with the saw on it. !!! That was the key part. With saw attached, folding it up and moving about and then setting it up again.

Nice stand for a reasonable price.
That's an awesome little saw and the stand is nice too. Great vid bro
I’m loving the combination TRZ, has a lot of features of a larger saw!!

What do think about the delta stand or the rigid stand?
Thanks for that good review brother think I'm going to go out and buy myself one especially since I've already bought this saw😎👍👍

Thanks Lonnie!
Did you try storing stand vertically but with saw on it?
Did you try this? I’m deciding if I should buy this one or a difference brand that allowed for vertical storing.
Can you keep the miter saw connected to the stand all the time, for setup, tear down, for use, and storage?
Just got this saw and stand can't wait to give it try 🙌
Great review, hell of a salesman I thought I was watching a midnight commercial or the home shopping network
What socket set were you using? That was super high visibility!

Even the Menards Master Force saw stand is better then this.and I agree that Hercules Tops both saw stands. 👍
The Hercules stand is rated at 550 lbs while the Menards is rated at 350 lbs and no rollers or adjustable leg.
