Some will say one of, but for me, the most powerful, meaningful, message delivering song ever written - accompanied by one of the most soulful, powerful voices. Yes Paolo. Scotland's gift to the world 🙌
Great to see you guys enjoying the hidden delight that is Paolo. Possibly the best singer songwriter of his generation yet largely seems to fly under the radar. I've been watching him live since the first album when he was just a kid and saw him again towards the end of last year. He just gets better and better.
Paolo nutini Italian decent grew up in Glasgow Scotland loved him since the day I heard him many many years ago….thanks for appreciating our home grown talent 🏴❤️
Love watching these two dude’s reactions to music! But I love watching people’s reaction to this song! This is and will always be an incredible song. Adele said this was the greatest live performance she’d ever seen 👌
Was not expecting this! He's Scottish from Italian descent, And the speech is Charlie Chaplin from The Great Dictator. Paolo's stuff is always better live, they always seem to dumb his talent down on the studio releases. Through the Echos is another one by him where the album version comes nowhere close to the live performances.
I just saw him in Melbourne recently where he performed both of these and he was excellent from start to finish. Definitely better live too. There's a couple of his songs that I generally skip past when it comes to the studio versions, but surprisingly enjoyed live
Paolo Nutini is Scottish and his father is of Italian descent - Scotland has a large Italian descended contingent and is all the better for it. Paolo's got a couple of multi platinum albums which a legendary - Met him at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival a few years ago and he was such a nice down to earth guy.
Man this guy is a legend his vocals are just amazing. Most people know him from Candy.... which did very well. Man so many people say underrated but i think in this case its kind of true but i would say that he has not banged out so many hits. Also he was around when you could market artists and for some reason it didn't really happen. Hes actually a jock with Italian heritage. Such a cool combination. Man his raspy echoed tone is so amazing. Could listen to him all day.. I actually have done many times. And still do.
Sorry I from USA and never heard him until about a month ago we and got his cds all 4 of them bought 3 of them each one for car and one for in house unbelievable I just found out he was in usa in Philadelphia last year and I didn't know of this guy what a singer and not to bad to look at either 😉😀😳
That was a unique moment that only comes once in a lifetime. This recording has everything , really everything you can express from the bottom of your soul . Unforgettable
Scotland’s finest right her boys!! (Via Italian family, hence the name) I love the line “mass confusion, spoon fed to the blind” kinda sums up the position most of us are in as the news is now just a tv show fighting for ratings and ad revenue, not facts…. FACTS.
hahaaa!! This is the greatest song of all time. Paolo is SOUL! My favourite thing is watching reacts to this song and seeing how it hits people wish I could listen to it for the first time again!
Best performance ever to come out of Abbey Rd studios. I was lucky enough to be there. Absolutely relevant for today's shit and Chaplin speech very prevalent. Amazing voice and the bands good too. He's Scottish Italian.
This was recorded at the famous Abbey Road studios in London. Adele was recording there on this day and she was told Paolo Nutini was there so she went and listened to him. Adele is behind the camera with a first class seat.
It’s rumored she cried during this performance. And who wouldn’t? This is seriously one of the best songs and best performances in human history. So much emotion, so much relevance, and above all soul. It makes you want to finally fight back against the cold system we’ve created. There’s very few songs that can elicit such a strong emotional response.
Loved you reacting to that,. It's one of my go to tunes when I need a boost. I can see how you both seemed get different bits out if it, the voice, the message, the layers, the groove. After a few more listens, i'm sure you will be coming back to this one.
One of the best vocalists out there at the moment. Recommend his performances live from the Bittersweet from his most recent album: "Through the Echoes" and "Everywhere". So underrated.
He's Italian. I've been a fan for almost 10yrs. The industry honors image over talent these days so all the most talented artists are outside of the mainstream.
I usually listen to louis tomlinson or harry styles but let me tell you this guy is right there with this I bought all his cds I love his new what a singer if he ever comes back to USA I'm going to see him
They probably suggested him because he's British too (Scottish to be exact). It's a shame that so many people outside of the UK don't know of him because he is so talented!
Scream(Funk My Life Up) both the video & acoustic version are brilliant but usually with Paolo you pick the live version. Let Me Down Easy Better Man Candy Incredible cover of Gimme Shelter....
Loved this reaction to Paolo! Everywhere live in the bittersweet up next I think! Lucky enough to have seen him live a few times over the years! Awesome! Playing Belfast again soon… cannot wait!
He's Scottish, comes from a town called Paisley, and has Italian heritage. Definitely worth checking out more of his stuff. one of his recent tracks "Through The Echoes" is pretty amazing.
I agree about this being one of those perfect performances. I also think that's the case with Led Zeppelin's 1973 MSG performance of 'Since I've Been Loving You'. Electric blues at it's finest. You're welcome ;).
I’m from Scotland, personally makes me love him even more, but this man has a phenomenal voice. Seen him live last year, sounds identical to the videos. Please react to more if you can. ❤
Saw him 2 weeks ago in Ireland. The Italians came over to Ireland in the 50s to sell us chips (didn't hit our town till the 80s) and we adopted it as our national dish! I presume Scotland was much the same. Love love love Paolo ... and chips ❤
Unsure if any of your followers mentioned this but Adele heard that Paulo was doing this live session and snuck in to watch. She said it was the best ever live performance she has ever heard
Brilliant I signed up to you guys from the Ren train recently, I am Scottish born and bred so you have no idea just how flipping happy i am to hear you drop Paolo in there. Loving the vibes. Cheers Fellas.
It’s amazing how people form different genres of music find this song so totally awesome! The song encapsulates the human condition so well, we aren’t supposed to live as we do in big cities chasing money and things to make us in some way feel better about ourselves which ultimately bring us down. Freedom exists within, it’s the iron sky that tries to squeeze that out of us.
I love Paolo, I saw him preform as a live PA at a rave, rather an obscure booking but everyone there was totally in ore and new they witness someone special, this was before he hit the charts in 2006. His albums These Streets and Sunny side up are still both on heavy rotation on my favourite playlist ❤
I was thinking that too gerry cinnamon, Lewis capaldi and paolo nutini , itwould be an amazing gig , I'd even come out retirement to play the triangle and cow bell 😅
It was Charlin Chaplin in the Dictator.......... Paulo is a god, i partied with him once a bit before this in Bitmingham, lets just say christmas and the snow cam early. Madness
amazing voice.Joe cocker vibe. background singers make it a little eerier. Chaplin said it years ago we are not machine men w/machine hearts or machine minds. sings w/ such passion I first heard this song Larry of Lee Twins danced to it.very emotional ( song & dance) tears running down my face. check out Larry's video & you will understand song better. fan from S.C. 😅
Guys got incredible soul and his albums just got better and better, his live cover of Etta James I’d rather go blind is the best cover of that song! Check that one out to get a real understanding of his talent
Fun fact. Adele was in the same studio when this was performed and says it’s the most powerful singing performance she’s ever heard live. Not bad for a laddie from Scotland (which you could guess from all the FREEDOM shouts)
Charlie Chaplin performed the speech. Possibly one of the best speeches in modern history, and still just as relevant 80 years later. Abbey Road has heard some amazing performances ..... and this is right up there with the best of them.
Hey Casey & court, the kid laroi dropped a song today called where does your spirit go which he speaks about people he lost and juices death it’s a sad one also good seeing you guys going strong w reactions and growing 🔥🔥
Hey guys great reaction! If you liked this performance, PLEASE check out.... ‘No Other Way’ live at the Leon Loft ‘Scream (funk my life up)’ live on Jools Holland ‘I’d rather go blind’ live on Jools Holland 🏴🇬🇧🏴🇬🇧❤️🎶🎵🎶🙏🏻💯

Scheduler here - I know he was big in the NL years ago - New Shoes I believe! That must have just been the beginning
Pencil full of lead (in the pub) will blow your minds lads!
Greatest scottish vocalist ever.
Whenever I watch a paolo nutini song on UA-cam I see the same comment and I’m going to steal it.
“He doesn’t sing, his soul sings”
Paolo nutini Italian decent grew up in Glasgow Scotland loved him since the day I heard him many many years ago….thanks for appreciating our home grown talent 🏴❤️
No. he didn’t. He grew up in Paisley. Fair enough it’s not far from Glasgow but…….😁😁
I just found this singer and must say he is my favorite had to go out and get all 4 CDs of his he is a master piece ❤❤❤
The Scottish legend yet again Paolo never disappoints!!
Paolo is the most underrated artist of all time!!
Can't believe his music hasn't made its way here!
One of the best singers I’ve seen live … saw him In Newcastle in the uk over 10 years ago…. Waiting for him to tour in the uk again Ax
Love watching these two dude’s reactions to music! But I love watching people’s reaction to this song! This is and will always be an incredible song. Adele said this was the greatest live performance she’d ever seen 👌
As an Italian who loves Scotland to death and has been there a bunch of times, I'm so proud Paolo has italian blood running through his veins 😊
This isn’t a song this is an experience …..nothing else to touch it…..❤ love Paulo
That speech is considered to be one of the most powerful speech ever , by Charlie Chaplin .
and *SO* relevant today
Was not expecting this! He's Scottish from Italian descent, And the speech is Charlie Chaplin from The Great Dictator. Paolo's stuff is always better live, they always seem to dumb his talent down on the studio releases. Thank you!!!
I just recommended "Through the Echoes" too, as you say the acoustic version is the one to listen to.
I just saw him in Melbourne recently where he performed both of these and he was excellent from start to finish. Definitely better live too. There's a couple of his songs that I generally skip past when it comes to the studio versions, but surprisingly enjoyed live
He’s fantastic live
Saw him at a festival in Edinburgh a couple months ago
So happy he’s back preforming
He was born in Scotland, I think his mother is Scottish and his dad is Italian!
he is so rarely reacted to, but every one i see loves him, rightly so. he is so so good.great reaction..

You wont find a better live performance from a group of musicians, singer & songwriter that are all on point together... It's outstanding.
One of scotland's finest ❤
His cover of I'd rather go blind is 🔥🔥 bro he Scottish 🏴🏴🏴
"Better man" black and white live video definitely worth a look! 👌❤️
This is such an intense and satisfying performance. Paolo is so incredible. His voice often moves me to tears.
Do more Paolo , you won’t be disappointed. All his live stuff is 🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️.
Paolo is just amazing 😍
Hard to believe that there are people who have not heard the great SCOTTISH singer/songwriter Paolo Nutini.
@@sunshineladyoo I wasn't blaming people who have sadly missed his music. It is just really too bad.
I've seen him live back in 2014. His voice is something else, truly amazing.
Great reaction guys.
Scotland's finest. Paolo does what he wants musically and doesn't bow to commercial pressure. This is probably why he's not well known in the States.
That was a unique moment that only comes once in a lifetime.
This recording has everything , really everything you can express from the bottom of your soul .

hahaaa!! This is the greatest song of all time. Paolo is SOUL! My favourite thing is watching reacts to this song and seeing how it hits people wish I could listen to it for the first time again!

😆😂🍻
This was recorded at the famous Abbey Road studios in London. Adele was recording there on this day and she was told Paolo Nutini was there so she went and listened to him. Adele is behind the camera with a first class seat.
Adele commented on social media that day...she was blown away....paulo is the greatest singer songwriter scotland has ever produced...he's a genius.
It’s rumored she cried during this performance. And who wouldn’t? This is seriously one of the best songs and best performances in human history. So much emotion, so much relevance, and above all soul. It makes you want to finally fight back against the cold system we’ve created. Paolo Nutini has been around for years ❤ he has 4 amazing album all very different and quite superb 🎉 his live performances are outstanding 🇬🇧

I have listened to this song thousands of times and it never gets old for me.
Paolo is a Scottish legend - one of my favourite artists. His parents were Italian.
@CH: Yeah but it's close to Chile (Chi-Lè) though...
@@Loki1815 it really isn't, Scotland has f all to do with Chile and neither does Italy
@Chris Graham - His parents are actually Scottish too.
The speech is from Charlie Chaplin's The Great Dictator. It's like a 100 years old. Still magnificent, just like Paulo. ❤
Check out paolo nutini let me down acoustic and youll see the marvin Gaye influence. His voice is amazing and hes criminally underrated
FINALLY!!! His cover of I'd rather go blind is phenomenal
One of the best vocalists out there at the moment. Recommend his performances live from the Bittersweet from his most recent album: "Through the Echoes" and "Everywhere". So underrated.
Added to the list!!
Yes, yes and YES! Another great reaction to a genius. Lots of Love from the UK 💜 -x-
Paolo is amazing, I've been following him since his big hit Rewind more than a decade ago, unfortunately never had the chance to see him live.
One of THE best live performances of all time ❤
He's Italian. I've been a fan for almost 10yrs. The industry honors image over talent these days so all the most talented artists are outside of the mainstream.
He's not Italian, he's Scottish, born in Scotland to Scottish parents.
I usually listen to louis tomlinson or harry styles but let me tell you this guy is right there with this I bought all his cds I love his new what a singer if he ever comes back to USA I'm going to see him
Paulo in this, is Abercrombie & Fitch, mixed with in with James Brown. Never judge a book by its cover
love Paolo. never see people react to him
They probably suggested him because he's British too (Scottish to be exact). It's a shame that so many people outside of the UK don't know of him because he is so talented!
Criminally underated
He chose it.
It’s been said Adele had been recording at same studio at the same time and said this was one of the best performance she has ever seen!
I absolutely love Paolo. This tune is my ringtone! Glad you reacted to this! X
Scottish Italian.
This song became an anthem for The Scottish I dependence vote. Although not intentionally.
Perfect blend of Scottish and Italian. 😁
He's from Glasgow, Scotland guys.
Scream(Funk My Life Up) both the video & acoustic version are brilliant but usually with Paolo you pick the live version.

But this Voice lift it up to heaven
He's Scottish, comes from a town called Paisley, and has Italian heritage. Definitely worth checking out more of his stuff. one of his recent tracks "Through The Echoes" is pretty amazing.
Definitely! From his newest album, "Everywhere" is my favourite, followed closely by "Through the Echoes".

Also, if it wasn’t obvious from my last comment, he’s Scottish, born and bred, but has Italian ancestry.
Awesome - want to visit one day!!
Of course, it’s the most beautiful country in the world after all! I’ve been to the U.S. a couple of times, people are great :).
Saw him 2 weeks ago in Ireland. The Italians came over to Ireland in the 50s to sell us chips (didn't hit our town till the 80s) and we adopted it as our national dish! I presume Scotland was much the same. Love love love Paolo ... and chips ❤

CRAZY.
@@BeersBars to be fair it's Abbey road where the Beatles recorded most of their albums also

Adele wasn't in the studio that day. She watched the performance from wherever and then tweeted about it being the best.
This performance and Shoshana Bean's "Make it rain" were my two favorite finds over the last few years.
