親戚の家が布団屋でした。作業は綿だらけになるからと見せてくれなかったけれど、いつもふかふかの座布団でした。打ち直しをしてくれてふかふかの布団が懐かしいです。

小学生の時、打ち直しの布団の受け取りに行ったら作業中の所を見学させて頂き、最後に出来上がったものの上に飛び込ませて貰いました！もうね！雲の上！ふっかっふっか！ふっかふっか！想像を超えるふっかふか！
一生に一度の打ち立て布団への飛び込み経験ですが、忘れられません。
ふっかふか！幸せ❤な気分！
マットレスとかよりふわっふわ！
個人的にはスノコベッドにこの様にキチンと作られた布団が至高だと思っています。
夢心地を味わえます。
凄くその時の感覚が伝わってきます！

When we lived in NYC we had no actual bedroom, so a futon seemed like a wise idea. After that we were 'hooked'. When we travel we can never get used to motel beds, no matter how comfortable they are - they just don't feel the same as a futon. Now we live in a much bigger apartment, where we DO have room for western style beds. Guess what? We still sleep on futons...

So this company makes both the Comforter and the Mattress bc this is the same company from the previous video. I was a little confused last video bc the title said Futon but it was a Futon Cover/Comforter being made not a Futon Pad/Mattress, I didn't know they came as a set.
Looks comfortable AF, tbh I wouldn't mind getting one for myself. 👍👍

This was so calming to watch. I converted from a queen size Western mattress to a full size shikibuton about a month ago and absolutely love it, I don't want to make health claims, but I've noticed amazing changes to how my body feels since I started "floor sleeping" and it's the best sleep I've gotten in years.

昔は布団の紐や糸を切って、凄く怒られてたのを思い出した。
久しぶりに、真綿の布団…ってのに寝たいな。
今じゃ…（自分が泊まる）ドコのホテルも、真綿の布団ではなくなった。
自宅のも腰が悪くなってから、低反発や高反発のを使ってるし、懐かしく思ってる。
職人さんの仕事って、簡単そうに見えるけど…実際は出来ないから、やっぱり凄いな。
これは真綿ではなくて、めん綿の敷布団です。
ややこしいですよね...。
真綿＝シルク、めん綿＝コットンなんです。
旅館でも綿の布団が少なくなりましたね。

One of my friends sleeps on a Futon. She lives not far from Kyoto and says it feels like you're sleeping on a ☁️. I have been considering for years converting to Futon sleeping but I don't know how well ut will help since standing up may be trouble for me since I'm not steady on my feet. When I visit her I will be able to experience Futon sleeping for a few weeks. 😊

I would Love to have heard how the Artisan explained how to do the cotton filling process to him when he first started out. That was insanity.
I was taught by a master who took me by the hand.
It was very difficult until I mastered the technique.
Looks soft as a cloud. How robust are they? I imagine they become lumpy over time.
Softness settles down after about 2 months.
When dried in the sun, it becomes soft and fluffy again.
So much effort and neat hand crafting for a soft sleep

This is how to make a Japanese-style futon.
If I get to sleep on one such futon, I will wake only to an earthquake. LOL. So wonderful. The finishing is amazing. White color is so elegant.
