Dad was in the Army. I used to love the smell of shoe polish. At 71, I STILL love the smell. Which is why I take great pride in keeping my expensive designer shoes in perfect condition.
An amazing result Sir, you achieved in less than 15 minutes what I couldn’t achieve in 3 weeks of hard work on my Army boots in basic training, ( 50 years ago) and they just about broke my heart. Well done, I applaud you 👏👏
I love seeing and honest craftsman doing his job with respect to himself and his customers. How he's dressed, how organised everything is in his shop. No compromise on the quality of the job. It was a pleasure to watch.
not to mention, probably the only country where you can actually apprentice into whatever profession you're passionate about and not really worry about money just because of your career...

For older people, the shoes are made of artificial leather. I grew up cleaning shoes; my shoes were cleaned every weekend. Even now I still clean my shoes because it makes them last longer and look better. But do the "simple" version, remove the dirt, apply shoe polish with a shoe brush, let it take effect and then brush off (light polish). 😁

Je suis les mêmes étapes sauf : - j'enlève complètement les lacets - il y a probablement plus de temps qui s'écoule entre séchage et premier brossage puis glaçage éventuel. - je ne mets en général rien en dessous de la semelle. Un pro va beaucoup plus vite ! 😊 J'aime bien le passage du petit couteau plat sur le côté. ❤
I would like to have seen more about the waxes and polishes that he was using, and what each layer was doing. Also I am surprised that he was not wearing gloves while applying the waxes.
I cannot imagine the night-and-day difference between what *I* do for my own shoes versus what a consummate-professional does for their shoes, in this context ;D And it is beautiful and amazing nevertheless.

Encuentro desconcertante que siendo tan dedicado y tan perfecto en su técnica para pulir los zapatos, NO remueva por completo las cintas!!.quedará un pequeño espacio no pulido y además la cinta irremediablemente quedará manchada con las cremas que aplicó.
