As an ex motor cross rider myself and also being curious about Thailand as a whole I can honestly say thank you for your work as a creator basically because you don't just focus on night life you clearly have another angle that really resonates with people who can handle a bike haha I'm going on now but keep it up mate you know what it's like to live abroad with the stigma of a whole nation on your back
Riding a bike anywhere is rolling the dice. I live in Canada and at least 30% - 40% of the people I know who have ridden bikes for a long time have been in accidents and the roads are infinitely safer over here. Riding over Thailand is next level dangerous and anyone who does it for any length of time is going to face some consequences.
Yes, you're definitely rolling the dice in Bangkok, Phuket and Pattaya. Although when I was there one year ago (low season) for a month I did rent a 160cc scooter and would go out at 7am when there's minimal traffic about and ride very defensively. Always thinking 200 yards in front and always expect that people waiting to pull out haven't seen you, so you're ready to brake to counter their stupidity. It was the first time in 14+ years that I rented a bike there and had my international driving permit. Also rented in The Philippines,(Mindoro) which isn't anywhere near as chaotic and Filipinos are actually skilled driver's, compared with Thais.
I'm a very disappointed tourist currently in Pattaya. This place is a dump. The stench that emanates from the sewer system is like nothing I've ever smelled before. I almost vomitted yesterday. This place is disgusting. I can't wait to go to Vietnam.
I lived in Pattaya the entirety of 2023, couldn’t agree more. The stench is so bad some days like their sewage system is open air or something. I’ve been living in Vietnam since December and it’s much better. Thai’s in pattaya seem so jaded by the sexpat degenerate tourists the place attracts that it feels like they don’t want you there at all. Vietnam is not only better but attracts people who aren’t just traveling to catch std’s and get drunk
oh it smells. WHERE? an open drain you walk past smells for 30 seconds while you walk past it. OMG CALL THE EMBASSY and your smoke comment before then buy them at 711 for 150 baht a pack or come over here and pay close to 1000 baht for the same pack. you need to just return home as you are not meant to travel outside of a western developed country
The message needs repeating. I've seen it firsthand on a Buriram highway, and have lost a Thai niece in a minor accident that a helmet would seem to have made a major difference.
I hope Pattaya encourages tourists to choose bicycles instead of motorcycles, or at least gives them the option for a more eco-friendly way to get around. I brought my bike from Bangkok to Jomtien Beach to explore because I didn't think there were any bike rentals there. There are a lot of places to rent motorcycles, but I don't know how to ride one. I found riding a bike on Jomtien Beach's roads way more fun than in Pattaya.
Unfortunately, you have to find places to ride bucycles there. The roads are very narrow, too much vehicular traffic, too many people. Pattaya is for degenerates, not bicyclists 😅
Just when I was ready to pull the trigger on getting a motorbike here in Jomtien Beach I watched another video about reckless drivers. It must be a sign. I would love your take on driving a car here in Thailand as an EXPAT. Thanks.😉
When I was there last year, I rented a motorbike in Pattaya. I've been on a street bike since I was 17. You've got to be on your game when on a bike there. Fun, but stay alert. Bangkok...OMG ! Completely nuts ! I'll be relocating there this year soon, and plan to eventually get myself on a Harley of some kind, as I'm selling my pimped out '21 Street Glide Special.

First time in Pattaya is probably for the most people a cool spot to be, especially for people who are into nightlife and entertainment. But many are falling in love with Thailand / Pattaya and decide to move there very quickly but after the moved there, a lot of them getting second thoughts because living and thrive there is a completely different thing than when you're on holiday. But for a fun trip with entertainment and nightlife, Pattaya is a very good choice. I have to say though the heydays are long gone, it's still a good place to be... as tourist

I just checked my old intl. license, it says that local restrictions may apply. I don't know Thai laws enough to say if it is valid or not for the full entirety of its duration.

Then he looks at me like it's my fault, bro you are speeding and switching lanes at an intersection... such senseless behavior from tourist sometimes man.
I figure that any kind of driving in Thailand leaves you in a world of legal hurt. I guess if I lived there it would be different but the cheap cost of transport coupled with my love of alcohol leads to stay well clear. Met to many people who basically fell foul of your a farang its your fault.
Amazes me how many riders go the wrong way down a street. If there was a potential travel insurance claim guarantee that the insurance company would send an investigator out to see which business has possible footage. When seen breaking the law chances of a claim would be pretty tough.
I have an old nsr 150 sp sitting in my garage gathering dust. When I used to use it I would disconnect the 2 stroke oil pipe when I went back to the uk and drain the coolant. Nothing worse than that 2 stroke oil seeping into your cylinder. Nowadays I just potter around the village on one of our Wavei 110s; the basket at the front is so handy and they are just so reliable and cheap to maintain. For longer journeys its always the pickup; you are just so much safer in that than on a bike, not to mention the heat, getting sweaty and such. My daughter got knocked off her bike in Chonburi and ended up in hospital, so yes they are dangerous in cities, and you are better off driving round in a metal box!
Go into the country side & it's rare to see the Thai's wearing helmets. Especially the kids. 😒 And the rules are pretty much a free for all. First in best dressed it seems. Just a suggestion if your bike hydraulics again. Remove the spark plug so as not to bend or break anything. But I'm guessing you already know that. 😉 Thanks for sharing Adam 👍
@@keisone Worst & best at the same time. It is so nice out in the country if you go riding in the morning before the Thai hooligans wake up, but I saw three fatal accidents in a week last year in the dark side area. Also, if you think Thailand motorbike riders are wild, go to Laos.
Speed kills, slow down. Lots of Thai made EV's, Taiwan makes great EV bikes as well. No registration, licensing, insurance, or helmet needed (500w or under), Plus you can show off your powerful legs (even though you dont have to pedal) 555 Carry on making too much noise (illegal exhaust pipe) and air pollution while EV riders and walkers are treating everyone with silence and clean air in Pattaya...Think about it . Peace and Love Y'all
Can you ship them in? Or do you buy them in the country? I don't want to bother with having a real set of wheels. The beauty of foreign countries is the transportation is better without a car.
Well, I was going to ask you how long does it take you to go to Pattaya on your bike (the question pops up when you were fixing it), then, I got my answer, pick up truck ;)
Hope the bike is running well now. No charging system issue. Looks like you didn’t jump on the kickstart hard at first so the rod should be good 🫰 2 stroke issues lol. Looks like you had great weather. Unfortunately the rains hit here this weekend so my ridding plans are out the window.
Gotta laugh, you banging on about bike safety and your mate has shorts, T-shirt and no gloves with $25 open face helmet that’s about 20% better than no helmet.

What ratio are you running as it still looks a bit too smokey for me. Also are you jetted for that ratio?
Jetting is dialled now, was Smokey because the oil in the pipe.. after riding for a while it’s running muuuuuuuuuch better
@@keisone Ok nice one! Enjoy.
Cheers matey! Also I don’t premix the fuel, it mixes in the carb.. the float got stuck open which was my problem
Pretty obvious would have to burn off the excess oil in the exhaust 😂
@@andyburton8346 Yeah no I am fully aware of that but I obviously dont know how long he had been running it for. Its all good now so yay for that.
Thanks for the video, glad you got to catch up with Sam and get in a ride. Stay safe.
Beach blonde again bro !! 😂 suits better than the black 👍
Yeah I prefer it too 😊
Yeah dude whenever i run dark hair ..feels like i look washed out or Vit-B deficient 😂😂 @keisone
Mind you I do drink to much 🤦♂️😅
Dam bro thats a badass scooter. Im from the states so we dont get the cool stuff.
Too many Farangs think they know best.. see all the time in Patts..
Every action has a reaction...
Glad to see all my Pattaya cousins are fit and healthy...5...
Beat me silly , you can hydro lock a bike engine with oil 😂 now thats new to me never got enough oil into an cylinder in a car to have that happen 😂
Sucks man! tourists need to be more careful it'll ruin their own holiday or even worse... Didn't realize it was so common.. 4 in a week. Sucks to see!
Yeah man, it puts me off riding sometimes..
สุดยอดเลยพี่ชาย👍
A lot of people go on vacation to let go and get loose to relieve stress from the rat race. As a result we do stupid things😂
Riding motorcycle in Thailand.
Pro = Easy maintenance, weather is perfect (most of the time),
Con = It could be your last ride :D
Go into the country side & it's rare to see the Thai's wearing helmets. Especially the kids. 😒 And the rules are pretty much a free for all. First in best dressed it seems. Just a suggestion if your bike hydraulics again. Remove the spark plug so as not to bend or break anything. But I'm guessing you already know that. 😉 Thanks for sharing Adam 👍
Cheers mate! Yeah countryside is the worst!
@@keisone Worst & best at the same time. It is so nice out in the country if you go riding in the morning before the Thai hooligans wake up, but I saw three fatal accidents in a week last year in the dark side area.
Also, if you think Thailand motorbike riders are wild, go to Laos.
why do you use Final Cut vs Premier? Starting a channel here in th Philippines, New subscriber keep it up
off-season crushing
Adam is it cool to ride a bigger proper bike there, or do scooters work with the locals better ?
Yeah people do, they are a hassle in Bangkok though… better to have a smaller one to weave through traffic 😊
IMHO, most of the big bikes riders seem to be expats.
Cool to ride what every the f ya want 555 use your imagination
Can you import them or do you buy them in country?
2 fatal accidents in a week... thats wild
Well, I was going to ask you how long does it take you to go to Pattaya on your bike (the question pops up when you were fixing it), then, I got my answer, pick up truck ;)
👍🏼👍🏼
He’s back!!
😉🥳🍻
G'day Sonny mate , nicely played. Hope you are well mate 👍🏼🍻🇦🇺
@@sandgroper1980
Thanks my friend. I’m doing good. I hope you’re doing well to 🙏🏼
u wear ur hat under ur helmt? :D
How did you get your bike to Pattaya from BKK? I live in Nana and would like to take my XMAX to Pattaya when I visit some weekends.
Didn’t u watch? 🤣
@@keisone yes lol. I was hoping for the details if you rented a Ute and driver and you went with them etc
Can't you take Sukhumvit straight up to BKK? I know you have to stay off the highway, but I'd just ride up.
yeah was wondering how much for the pick up truck to deliver...?
Take highway 3. Takes you right along the coast to Pattaya
Sam beat you to it. I think he did an almost identical video...
Yeah the bastard stole my footage haha
❤❤❤Sunny from Bangkok 42 viewer and 10th liker❤❤❤
My man!!
I think it's ironic that they now call it pittaya
Hope the bike is running well now. No charging system issue. Looks like you didn’t jump on the kickstart hard at first so the rod should be good 🫰
2 stroke issues lol.
Looks like you had great weather. Unfortunately the rains hit here this weekend so my ridding plans are out the window.
Is it supposed to expel exhaust smoke as much as that,
Now that it’s cleaned out it’s much better, but the oil in the pipe was making it worse.. now it’s great 😊
@@keisone awesome , Ride safe buddy
Gotta laugh, you banging on about bike safety and your mate has shorts, T-shirt and no gloves with $25 open face helmet that’s about 20% better than no helmet.
🤣 You aren’t wrong, but Sam gonna Sam.. 🤷♂️
Funny I went from watching DDE with Mr. JWW and Nico driving $6,000,000. Koenigseggs in London to Adam and his little bike in Pataya
So how did you get the bike taken down to Pattaya?
Tell me you didn’t watch the whole video without telling me..
This bike is easy to lift n bring it down. Two people.
May be some kind of ramp or lift if you buy truck in future will help to travel alone...👍
👍🏼🍻🇦🇺
Yoooooo!!
What's the top speed on that badboy... 😂 Any open roads?
I’m sure it’s faster than I’m comfortable going on those little wheels and Thai roads 🤣🤣
I think it tops out at 150.. I haven’t been that quick lol
Still a very nice bike.... 💪😎
To make working on your bike more enjoyable, buy yourself a kneeling pad. Believe me as you get older you will thank me. P S great vlogs mate
Having took bike test last year, you must look before changes lanes your playing Russian roulette
Another t shirt bites the dust
Haha yeah for real, even after bleaching it didn’t recover lol
