Thank you for your kind comment! Yes, patience and practice is the key!! Wish you all the best with your skating journey, that scratch spin will come sooner than you think 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️
I really hope this helps my camel spin, I’ll update after trying this :) I have a competition coming up and there’s a scratch spin in my program so I’ll probably try to improve it on Friday or tomorrow. Let’s see how it goes! 🤞
I've tried edge entry to spins like you do here many times, but my skating foot just makes a turn and then stops. I can spin a handful of rotations if I use the free leg to pump. I really want to learn the edge entry. Any advice?
Thank you for this video!! I can tell now that my push into the entry has no power and I can fix that I just have a problem with posture/ finding my balance once I’m in the spin and sometimes I end up on my toe pick, any tips?
I stopped skating and now that I’m getting back into it I guess I’m just upset I lost some of my spins and can no longer do a single flip or lutz and axel. I hope that as I keep skating I’ll be able to bring them back. : (
Hi! I don’t know if I’m a little late for responses back to this comment but I have 2 questions! Where do you think the accurate spinning/rotating point is when a skater spins? I can’t seem to find mine. I’m also wondering how I can do a back spin without hitting my blade! Any advice helps! (Spins are very difficult for me)
hi, u want to be on the ball of your foot while spinning and start spinning when you make a semi circle during the entry. for your second question i’m not sure what you mean by hitting your blade but i hope this helps!

I am currently working on my camel spin, and I just started learning it like a month ago, and i have a question, how do you get your camel spin to go much faster, cause i can only get like 1-2 revelations?

Hi, I can’t get past 3 rotations on my two foot spin because I’m too scared of falling over ( hence clicking on this vid ), tips would definitely be appreciated a lot ❤️
Spins and jumps are the same for both males and females, what truly change is that tipically certain spins who require a lot of flexibility are less seen done by males and jumps with a lot of rotations like quads and triple Axels done by girls (but nowdays we're getting better) But over that who tipically happen in competitions all the elements can be performed by both and the technique is also the same~ There can be some stylistic/choreographical differences between the two but under the technical level it's the same for both
The same basic rules apply to men as well yes, but men and women have different styles of course, some can even have the same style of skating. You will see differences because of biology, men might be faster, higher jumps, fast jumps, etc. But it all depends on the specific skater.
@@Sofabar women are socialized to value balance and flexibility and grace in sport, so as a male coming into this sport after not having done ballet or dance, i notice this. I came from swimming and gymnastics. This sport has helped a lot with my balance. I can do a cartwheel on a balance beam but am still feeling a spin after 2 years.
Yes, I’m guilty of rushing the entry edge.. thanks for the advice!
We all are 🙊 My pleasure, hope it's helpful!
Me too ✋

OMG, you saved me with the knee tip!! I could do 2 rotations before and upped it to 5 in a second. OMFG amazing! ♥️♥️♥️
That’s amazing to hear! I’m so glad I could help you 😍🥰🥰🥰
My spin goals are all of your spins lol. Ty for all the tips, I really need to work on getting more power on my spins and not get sloppy.

Thank you for this video! I'm still struggling to cross my legs in my forward scratch spin, I just have to try being patient and keep practice it.

Hmm that's tough without seeing a video of your camel, can you explain better what is happening?
Dont drag ur free lag on the way in, don’t swing ur lag up above ur hip fast or staying off your toe but stay on ur rocker
Powerful entry, and make sure you hold the edge long enough while doing this because it's easy to ruin the spin like that.
Do you have any tips for jumps? I can't rotate fast in jumps

get crash pants and some nice gloves. you’ll always feel a little scared when you try new things but that will eventually become less. :)
@@bunnyselite939 and also knee pads, very important!
Great video!
Thanks 😊😊😊
I think for me is putting more power into the push and doing it too early.
Yes, that's a common problem sometimes! You'll get the hang of it 💕💕💕
Whenever I go into a spin I seem to stop a little 🙄it’s so hard not to
If you want you can send me a video of your spin to my instagram - @sofabarfitness and I can see what's happening there 😌💖🙏
I'm so jealous I can't even lift my foot up in my head 😭
Don't worry, with practice you'll get it one day! ❤️
How can I do this without getting scared? 😭😂
Start slow 🙏
