The biggest issue I can see with the alligator roller is that the pattern is made backwards; the little oblong squares and rectangles should be cut out and the lines between them are what needs to be on the roller. This way it presses IN the lines and leaves the 'puffy' shapes behind

Good try on the crocodile roller! The key to a realistic pattern is to have bigger rectangles in the center, gradually going to the smallest rectangles at the sides. The bigger scales are on a crocodiles back and the tinier ones are on his belly.

When you tint glass using that method you first need to set them sit upside down on some newspaper to get all the excess Mod Podge out. I usually let them sit about an hour or so. Set them right side up when you put them in the oven. It also helps to turn the oven off when they’re done and let them cool off slowly in the oven as the temperature cools in the oven. They make dishwasher safe Mod Podge if you want to use water with them too

I did the "amber glass bottles" hack a few years ago with a round fish bowl looking glass bowl from dollar tree and used blue acrylic paint and modpodge. I just painted the inside with a thin layer and let it dry( right side up if I remember correctly) then painted again(about 3 times total), let it dry and never needed to put it in the oven.(Took 2 days because I had to go to work between layers.) Then I tied together a twine net and tightened it around the bowl, I left the bottom uncovered from the net so it sat flat. It turned out to look like a really cool glass float look alike bowl.
It was a gift for my sister, who always wanted glass floats, she still uses it and as far as I can tell when I look at it, it the paint isn't scratched and it holds up really well.

I did this glass painting. I did paint mine on the outside. So I could use the vases. Just modge podge(dishwasher safe) and regular food coloring. They came out wonderful. Ended up painting glass bulbs for Christmas ornaments. Gonna keep doing this one.

The alligator roller needs to be done again! Like another comment said, the texture comes from the indentation around the "rectangles," not the rectangles themselves. That may help 😊

I just use black crocodile contact paper. I got a bunch of the adept cosmetics crocodile magnetic palettes and gave them gorgeous gold Gothic labels. Then I wanted my other palettes to match, so I used the textured contact paper. You could repaint it I guess.

I liked the croc texture DIY much better than the original. Shiny croc looks tacky but your matte version looks quite nice and abstract arty like.

Travertine for the win! The alligator idea is interesting, but the diy roller is a hard one.

PEBEO Vitrail (stained glass) paint or PEBEO Vitrea 150 (goes in the oven) is much better for the stained glass bottle. and it's not much more expensive than food coloring plus modpodge - Vitrea, once it is cooked in the oven, is dishwasher safe too and it painted outside the glass can be used with water... that DIY is more for people with no craft store near them - cause you should get PEBEO at least in Canada

Honestly, y'all need a new years resolution to do more videos TOGETHER. Totally understandable that you might get burnt out by doing them all together or have constraints due to covid but generally speaking this channel needs to embrace change WHILE remembering it's roots.
