- Bought Marshall major II for $55 dollars from eBay and learned that it was a fake. Bought one from Amazon and compared the difference between them. Here are the 4 difference through which you can understand the difference.
Actually the easiest way to tell the difference is that the authentic ones when u power on it will have a "guitar strumming" sound whereas the fake ones will just have a voice saying that it's on and ready to pair.

In my Marshall headphones the logo that is underneath, where it says "Marshall EST. 1962" is not gold, it's completely black. Does it mean that it is false? Thank you!
Lucho yes I am afraid so! There is no other design. Return it back and get your refund buy it from amazon or from the website to buy the authentic one!

@@luciano.3347 I can only say that in China they have perfected the way to copy products. The one I got was from China and I bought it from eBay. Right now the product will look awesome and all but it won't last, I am using the original for a year and more now and it is as good as new.

Importantly is the sound which you didn't compare. If the fake one sounds as good or better than the original and much cheaper....is great

I ordered one from Amazon. The seller was called marshal and had only Marshall products. They look and sound fine.
But when I unboxed them, I couldn't find a warranty or an instructions manual. I saw the unboxing video for this headphones and found that there was one instruction manual in the box, which is not present in mine.
What does this mean :(

I would replace the product with amazon. If the next product doesn’t have the instruction manual then just give a bad review. Amazon is a safe place to buy these headphones, I did too. I hope this helps.

Pranjul Mohan Singh I am not sure but I would advise you to check the seller. If it is sold by Marshall itself, thats perfect and if its so other seller check the reviews and the ratings of the seller before purchasing your headphones. Hope this helps!

Pranjul Mohan Singh that's a good question.. My first purchase was from eBay from a Chinese seller and when I saw it and used it and I knew this can't be right. My second purchase was from Amazon.com (usa) and the seller was marshall itself and I could totally see the difference. The box of the headphones you see in the video is important cause eBay one gave me in a bubble wrap 😅. Hope this helps!

Considering the official Major 2 head set have a "NORMAL" rf buzz don't even bother buying Marshall headphones.
Maybe the 3rd clue would be any help if you would actually focus on the "finish" that you were talking about...

Just returned a couple pairs of fake Major 4. They looked great but the sound gave them away...no volume and bass was dominating the minds and highs. It was somewhat fixable with an equalizer in my music app but that isn't the point.

Wait what!? I bought mine from "Digital Walker" the most real tech store and mine doesnt click when folded!?
The click sound is not necessary, but it takes some effort to fold it, it shouldn't be effortless.

Thanks, Madhavan for checking my video. So I would recommend you to go for a high-end noise cancelation headphones. The best ones out there are Sennheiser PXC 550, Bose Soundlink 1 or 2... Beats studio 2 or 3 ( I am using 2 and I am super happy with it)... Just invest a little... Sell your marshall and just invest in one... believe me, one good headphone is better than 3... I have a few and I still use the beats almost every day...

Hi.. Thanks for the video. I bought this from amazon from a seller named marshall who was selling all the Marshall products. The retailer was cloudtail. My worry is that when I unboxed the device, there was no instructions manual(which usually you get with every device). Nor there was any warranty card. They sound and look fine. What should I do?

I bought the Major ones off ebay. Clearly fake, and I am getting a partial refund (I hope)from the dodgy Chinese seller.
The thing is, I love the sound of these, and am glad to keep them.
Well, I got mine from eBay too and I got the full refund and I sold mine and bought the original one... Something to think about!

@@AkshayDeolekar yes, it was original but returned it. There is some problem with the headphones. It's change the song automatically. I guess there is some Hardware problem.
sandip maru I had a similar problem with JayBird earbuds... there was a software problem and I read all about it. Well I have spoken in my videos about earbuds you should check that out to understand what all options you have since you gave your major 2 back. Hope you consider a new and fresh pair of headphones or earbuds. My suggestion is to go for earbuds since they are super convenient and portable.
