Do you think the merger will make this more or less of a possibility? Let me know!
Definitely a better possibility, though the chances are still kind of slim
@@CalithoosieAgreed. I see them getting one of those fancy newer Vekomas before a giga.
RMC Goliath to 300 ft as first t rex
Between Knotts and SFMM one of them has to get a giga and SFMM just makes more sense for obvious reasons.
Knotts deff not getting anything fancy now lol.@@coasterempire3537
Now that Cedar Fair is involved I can see this happening more than before.
Why not a launched strata coaster similar to Kingda Ka with a 120+ mph launch and over 400 feet tall? (Superman doesn't count since it never reaches 400 feet). We need one of those in Cali
How about transportation rides in a 100+ degree park during the summer, maybe a train, monorail or cable ride. Another water ride would help.
Remember this park had all three forms of transportation back in the 1970's and 80's.
More shade covers
Magic mountains line up is strange .. they have a lot of classic arrows probably the best collection of such , but they are very heavy on b&m’s that overlap on ride experience. They have 3 launch coasters 2 by primer and a ehh woody .with 2 great rmcs. They have the record for coasters but I feel it could be varied a bit more . No indoor coasters, no wing , no intense intamin. a mid woodie . I love mm and it’s my home park . A giga would fit nice if it was a gigga like i305 . A b&m giga would do little for this park they already have enough b&m’s and I know i305 is not a popular giga ( although in my opinion it’s the best by far) but if you want to add one that will make it stand out from there kind of overlapping line up I’d go with a I305 type intense low to the ground use the terrain that mm offers black out giga. That plus x2 would be an intensity 1,2 punch that few of any parks could match
An airtime focused B&M would absolutely stand out, they don't have any rides like that except parts of Wonder Woman. The B&M's now are all inversion and positive-g focused, actually that's pretty much the whole lineup except for the 2 RMC's. If they did a giga version of Mako, maybe like a combo of Mako and Fury325, that would be amazing. I'd love to see what Intamin could do as well, but I don't know if Six Flags wants to pay that much for questionable reliability.
Twisted coleuses is an airtime machine. Nothing but airtime on it
Magic Mountain oddly enough doesn't really have any rides with much airtime, except the 2 RMC's. So a Giga with a bunch of airtime would be a great addition to the lineup. I wouldn't want to see Goliath removed, because I've always enjoyed that ride, the one floater hill is great and even though the drop isn't super steep it's really fun, and the G forces in the helix are awesome. If Six Flags is going to pay big bucks for a coaster, it would probably be at Magic Mountain. Especially with all of the attractions coming to the other Socal parks in the next few years.
Out of date or not, you're videos are always fun to watch. Thank you
orion itself was already a moved project from CGA due to the building restrictions in california pushing the costs too high up. just something to consider. i dont think it would be too similar to goliath though considering Carowinds and Kings Island both get away with a hyper and giga.
I believe there gonna build something,But i dont think its a giga. Fast and furious is coming so hopefully that sparks something at magic mountain. My poor knotts though lol. I have to leave my home state to go on actual good coasters these days.
Six Flags Magic Mountain is not going to remove Goliath, so how about a clone of Orion at Kings Island?
Remove viper, riddler’s revenge, or scream. Not all three, but any 1 of those I could personally do without. Or refurbish them and make them worth the space.
Scrap or relocate Scream and put the trains on Riddlers, recycle Goliath and put a giga in their place(s)
Riddler is fine how it is :) but scream gotta go
In my opinion, Magic mountain needs a good non-inverting floating airtime machine. Personally I'd love to see a blown up version of something like Mako or Goliath at over Georgia to giga heights. Just massive airtime hills focusing on sustained floater, since they have enough coasters with ejector in the park.
A giga like that would be more different than Goliath, compared to the difference between Orion and Diamondback... Orion doesnt really focus a whole ton on speed, but rather big drawn out elements, which is what diamondback does already. I truly wish Orion would have been alot more like Fury, but instead it took alot more after Leviathan.
Intamin.....or B&M?
Take ya pick!!!
Intamin
I have a wishful suspicion the CEOs are waiting to see how the S&S axis coaster in Saudi Arabia works out. SFMM has a history of superlatives, ie world's first, world's biggest, world's only etc, and a new giga is not going to provide that, and would be awfully expensive. While the S&S axis may very have the most expensive trains on the market aside from X2 and Eejanaika, it's tiny footprint would keep construction costs to a minimum, as well as minimizing disruptions to other park attractions. It would also be the first of its kind in the western hemisphere, which is guaranteed to draw people in. Giving S&S the contract for this would initiate a positive business relation with them, which could go a long way in the future when it comes time to refurbish X2, considering it was S&S that basically bailed Arrow out of bankruptcy to work with them in constructing Eejanaika. Who's gonna fix X2 when it breaks?
Hi drew thanks again for all your videos I think the number I reason magic mountain should get a giga it's about do the right thing and be fair 4 giga on the east coast and zero on the west coast
Olympics yes but no World Cup at Sofi but give us our giga
With the Cedar Fair merger, yes. SoCal is so huge and densely populated it's a wonder a GIGA has evaded the entire west half the USA this whole time with Socal being the best place. Knotts really wanted to make the largest chain lift coaster at 350ft, but rich, NIMBY, home owner, boomers stopped it. Knotts is crippled with space and Residential surroundings. MM has none of these problems. To best compete with Disney and Universal, it makes more sense to get the GIGA where they can, just north at MM, and let Knotts compete with other things that aren't space or NIMBY restrictive, like theming.
I love that you just decided to put the video out anyway 😂
I was originally going to put up something else today I’ve been working on, but I ended up finding this instead, so I said why not? 😅
This is the only park anywhere near the west coast that could potentially fit a GIGA Coaster in the park.
the knott’s plans seemed to make it fit well too though
@@matteoalvarez5532 Knott's Berry Farm will NEVER get a GIGA coaster! They do NOT have the room; I talked to the General Manager once, and he told me that to even build a Hyper coaster they would have to remove Ghost Town. The park is way too small for those kinds of rides.
First Pro Six Flag MM has Huge Space to added 3 to 5 coaters on the side of Apocalypse all the way to X2 there massive land that is complete empty also from North of Apocalypse to Batman the Rise there just empty unused land and from SFHH to X2 in front of the park is massive empty land SFMM has huge space and they should build the Biggest RMC ever longer than Steel Vengance, Faster and Taller than Iron Gwazi. SFMM need that the TC sucks horrible ride or T-Rex need to be at SFMM first or a Flacon Flight type 400 to 500 Ft.
With the current CF-SF merger in 2024, the chances of a giga coming to SFMM have increased. I remember CF was interested years ago in expanding in California with CGA before those plans were cancelled (and the park inevitably closing in a few years), so maybe CF could improve/expand SFMM into the "Cedar Point of the West" like how Carowinds became the "Cedar Point of the South", and no better way to do that than to bring in a new headling coaster.
more like SFMM of east SFMM is better than Cedar point that's why the company will keep the Six flag name not Cedar fair Six Flags has always have the better parks but im will be visiting the 4 cedar fair park in the east coast next yr so let see if the hype of cedar point is as good as east coast ppl hype so much.
When they do one, i wish for a intamin or vekoma giga.... b&m.... yeah idk
Do you think it might also open up the possibility of one for sfgam? it would be a perfect fit for the lineup and give a standout, also 50th in 2026 and 7 years overdue.
Great adventure would probably be more likely especially since it was being planned before management changed. Magic mountain needs to spend money on there pathways landscaping it looks like a rundown park in certain areas
Exactly. And Magic Mountain is one of my home parks. I was there last week, and it really saddens me to see the bad condition it has become.
I very much want to see this happen on the west coast.
I sure hope X² will stay
Magic Mountain getting a giga? Well, considering they already toyed with us about Goliath's 250 foot, but how about a giga (earlier this year), if they DON'T build a giga, that would be an EXTREME disappointment.
Isn't Krypton technically a giga coaster?
That’s debatable, seeing how it’s a shuttle coaster that’s 415’ tall but trains never actually reach over 400. “Giga” is a marketing term invented by Cedar Fair, along with “Strata” for 400-499’ tall coasters. I think Superman EFK is sort of in a category all on its own, since it doesn’t feature any of the elements of a traditional Giga (or Strata, other than the launch).
It's a shuttle coaster
@@seanlewis1148 Well it could be a launched shuttle giga
@@error_jsonGigas and stratas are full circuit(traditionally).
Superman is nothing more than what it is: a shuttle coaster.

What a waste of a first comment. Fail.
Negativo.
